@dionandkimx have you try Bo Ne but with ostrich steak? You should do a review of different proteins for different dishes that’s not normal. 👍👍🍻🍻
Before I came, I was planning $2-$3Kl USD per month and even up to $4K USD at the max but now that I'm here, I'm spending around $1.5K per month and I don't eat at home but I eat mostly Vietnamese food ranging from 25K to 150K per meal. My first month of electricity at a tiny AirBnB was 2mil but ever since I moved to a hotel, it's been around 700-800K per month.
$1000 is just their food budget :=)
So cheap for renting in Vietnam they’re got everything
im going to chime in as a fellow Australian and as a solo traveller. I am based in Danang and just using negotiated airbnb prices. I have a 1 bedroom apartment which is very clean and comfortable. I will give my average monthly costs in AUD .
Accommodation $585. Electricity $68 and then for everything else (food, miscellaneous, pharmacy, coffee etc is $140 a week so $560 a month. I walk most places or take a grab bike if too far. I eat out for all my meals and am mostly working so am not visiting tourist sites. Hope this helps someone.
Very affordable to live in Vietnam. That was one of the countries I could see myself living.
Lots of love from tamilnadu 👍🙏
I chose to be a minimalist and migrated to a rural area outside HCMC in my wife's hometown 5 years ago. Our expenses for 3 adults + 2 children are abt USD500/mth and we manage well
The important lesson I learnt is that if I leave behind my luxurious lifestyle and spending habits from my origin country, I appreciate what I have more in life without them
It feels great to be reminded everyday that happiness, satisfaction and stress-free living does not have to come with a high price
Life is simple, don't complicate it. I hope everyone can achieve this. Welcome to Viet Nam ❤
How much is beer?!! 😂 asking for a friend
Even living in America, I was told to never drink tap water.

How about visiting doctors appointment for routine checkups cost? Do you buy international healthcare plans?
Do you have a washer/dryer in your apartment? Please could you let us know which area of Danang you live in and possibly if you found it onZalo.
My rent now is actually less than what it was 15 years ago 😁 Utilities are cheap as well, and that's in Saigon, makes Vietnam very affordable 🙌
