The bus stop is about 10 minutes by bus from Ogawamachi Station. You can also rent bicycles at the tourist information center in front of the station. Now, how far can I walk today? It’s now 11:17. I have also walked 1.6km and 2393 steps so far. Since we start from the bus stop, we will subtract this number later. Let’s go straight away. Today’s weather is flower cloudy and flower cold, but the temperature is around 15° so it’s not that cold. Cross the bridge over the Tsukikawa River. There is a guide sign at the branch. Turn left. We could see the school building in the background. Shimozato Branch School was newly established in 1964 and closed in 2011. Currently, it is managed and operated by a non-profit organization. It was also the setting for the anime “Non Non Biyori”. Although I say it is a stage, I do not mean that it is the setting of the anime itself, but rather that this elementary school is the model for the fictional school “Asahigaoka Branch”. This is the school entrance. You can enter the school grounds, but not the school building. Even if you haven’t watched the anime, I think the nostalgic scenery will soothe your soul. Play equipment is set up like an elementary school. There are no special warnings or prohibitions, so let’s go up. The principal’s eye level is like this. It’s high, but not as much as I thought. Let’s take a look inside the classroom. You can’t go inside, but you can look in from the outside. This is Branch School Cafe Mozart. We will have lunch here. The table is a classroom desk specification. I ordered the daily set meal for 1,450 yen. It seems to be a healthy combination of vegetables. Each piece has a strong flavor and is very satisfying to eat. It has a moderate amount of fat and is voluminous. This alone is enough to fill you up. Yes, thank you for the meal. It was very delicious. After this, I will visit a nearby shrine. This is Yamiya Shrine. It feels quiet, dark, and solemn. Yes, I went back to the bus stop. It’s now 13:51. I have walked 5km and 7493 steps so far. I walked 3.4km and 5100 steps for 2 hours and 34 minutes from the start. I walked over 5,000 steps just by going to school and the shrine, so I guess that’s okay. So that’s all for this video.
