明石市の中心駅でゲソ。JRと山陽電車の駅が隣接していて、西側の改札がJR、東側の改札が山陽電車でゲソ。JRは普通列車、快速、新快速全てが停車し、寝台列車サンライズとWEST EXPRESS銀河以外の特急も停車するでゲソ。山陽電車は普通列車、S特急、直通特急が停車するでゲソ。エレベーターはJR側に2機、山陽電車側に3機あるでゲソ。
This is the central station of Akashi City. The JR and Sanyo Railway stations are adjacent to each other, with the ticket gate on the west side serving JR and the ticket gate on the east side serving Sanyo Electric Railway. JR local trains, rapid trains, and new rapid trains all stop here, as well as limited express trains other than the sleeper train Sunrise and WEST EXPRESS Ginga. Local trains, S limited express trains, and direct limited express trains stop at Sanyo Electric Railway. There are two elevators on the JR side and three on the Sanyo Electric Railway side.
