【富士山】山梨を巡る、聖地巡礼△【絶賛曇天】

Where is Mt. Fuji???? Hi, I’m Doooo! I’m at Shizuoka Pref. right now because met friends here in the morning. And I’ll go to Venus Line (a driving road in Nagano Pref.) with other friends tomorrow. So, I’m literally free until tomorrow morning!

Shizuoka, Yamanashi and Nagano are popular driving or camping areas for people of all ages. And they’re also models for “Yurucamp”, one of the famous anime in Japan. Many people started camping because of this. There’re a bunch of sharp curves, you can enjoy driving without watching Yurucamp.

Here is Asagiri highland, Shizuoka Pref.! And I’ll head to Yamanashi through via Lake Motosu and Minobu-town. After that, I’ll arrive at Fuefukigawa fruits Park and Hottarakashi hotspring. And I’m planning to go around Venus line with friends tomorrow. First, arrived at a roadside station at Asagiri highland!

Personally, I think satisfaction of today’s route depends on its weather because lots of tourist spots are for viewing Mt. Fuji, especially in Shizuoka and Yamanashi. Here is my favourite area to see Mt. Fuji, but…. IT’S TOO CLOUDY;;;;;;;;;;; Ooops…………………..It’s okay, let’s have a ice cream instead of seeing views.

Milk and beef in Asagiri are so great, I’ll recommend Fuji milk-land (gelato), IDEBOK (ice cream / gelato) and Makaino Farm (beef / cheese cakes) if you love sweets! It’s definitely happy to enjoy camping with these stuffs. Next, I’m going to Lake Motosu,

It’s a model for Mt. Fuji printed in 1,000 yen, but I already know i can’t see anything. There is Ko-an camping site where Shimarin meets Nadeshiko at first in episode 1. It have been 3 years since visited there at last. There is getting more and more fans who inspired by Yurucamp.

Hahaha…., i know. You can see beautiful views like this, if there’re no cloud. It’s too great, isn’t it? We can also see a lot of stars at night. Here is the Road Motosu, the most difficult road for drivers around Mt. Fuji I think.

In Yurucamp, a high school girl went through on a bicycle with carrying all of camping equipments on her back. In reality, there’re a lot of hairpin turns, so I can’t believe she is a human being. Here is too dangerous for beginners or people who don’t usually drive.

But there is no other way from Mt. Fuji to Minobu-town. If you want to go all of Yurucamp’s model spots, using buses might be a good choice for you. I’m heading to “Minobu-town”, biggest town in south Yamanashi where Minobusan Kuonji Temple, the head temple of Nichiren sect, is located.

And it’s also a model of Yurucamp, there’re lots of areas where characters are living or working. It’s definitely a typical countryside but many people come to visit. Finally Expressway (CHUBU-OUDAN EXPWY) was opened lately so access from Tokyo (and Kofu, Nagano) or Shizuoka became much better

Arrived at town central and entered into Road 52. Just stepped by a supermarket where Aoi is working (in Anime) and got some foods. They have many items related to Yurucamp, so I call here “Animate* Minobu”. *Animate: stores for all of anime lovers

Japanese might have strong impressions of Mt. Fuji in Yamanashi and Shizuoka Pref., but we can’t see at all even if it’s fortunately fine weather. Nadeshiko, a main character of Yurucamp who moved from Hamamatsu to here, expected to see Mt. Fuji everyday. so she was quite disappointed when know that.

I really love these kinds of views in Minobu and Route 52. Arrived to next roadside area at Fujikawa. We can see Yatsugatake mountains at northeast side but….just like that, omg! “Did you see pacific ocean? I wanna go to sea of Japan next.”, it’s a good phrases for travelers like me.

I wish I could go to see the sea of Japan tomorrow…. I’m just in hurry because i want to see good sunset from a hill. We couldn’t see Mt. Fuji at all so I’m looking for other way to enjoy it somehow.

I’m heading to Hottarakashi hot spring, it’s also one of the most famous hot spring for people living in Kanto regions. Yamanashi have some hot springs with great views, and all of them are open-air bath on a hill or a mountain.

Here (Kofu, Yamanashi) is located on the north side of Mt. Fuji and surrounded by many mountains, so basically we can’t see Mt. Fuji in Kofu because of them. But occasionally we can see the top of Mt. Fuji at areas with high altitude. Hottarakashi hot spring open at early in the morning,

So if you’re lucky, you can see a beautiful sunrise with Mt. Fuji and sea of clouds. That’s why many tourists love here. Awwwwww that is……….Mt. Fuji?!?!?! This fried hot eggs is so famous and I also love, but…….there’s only 70 yen in my wallet ;( Hey, can’t we use any credit cards or PayPay?

Is that so????? I know there have no ATM. Just gave up and arrived at Fuefukigawa Fruits Park, here is also a model of Yurucamp and have lots of activities and stores related to fruits, especially grapes and peaches.

There’re many kinds of wines too, Yamanashi have some famous wineries such as SADOYA, suntory and so on. The flower beds in the park are beautiful, various flowers are planted depending on the season. And here is also one of “the couples sanctuary (popular dating areas for couples)”, a bit lonely to come alone…

In addition to couples, bikers often come here and enjoy talking with a great night view. When i was in college, came here many times! I’ll sleep in the car today, so I’m going to Kaikatsu CLUB and taking a shower

This is today’s dinner, Kamameshi (kettle rice) is one of the common lunch boxes in Nagano Pref. After that, drove to next roadside station and sleep there. GOOD MORNING! I’m at Shinshu Tsutaki-juku, Fujimi-town, Nagano Pref. The parking was full of camping cars or trucks.

From here, I’ll show you a digest video of our trip around the Venus Line. We met in Lake Shirakaba and entered into the Venus Line Mt. Kuruma has a ski resort, and the view of the Venus Line in autumn from here is also great.

I love here during the autumn, many travelers prefer in the summer though… Stepped by Korobokkuru-hyutte, had hot cocoa, a walnut tart and borscht! Many customers ordered borscht and siphon coffee (vaccum coffee?) but I don’t like its bitter taste ;( I wanna recommend you here, but it has too many fan everyday.

Especially for outdoor terrace seats where can drink coffee with beautiful views of Kirigamine. I think you can understand why is the Venus Line so famous for drivers. It has also a lot of turns, but it’s better than Motosu, i introduced before, all of turns are not very steep.

And there’re many small observation decks in some places, you can take a pictures with your car or motorcycles too! The altitude is very high, Mt. Kuruma:1,925 m, Kirigamine-highland:1,600m, Utsukushigahara: 2,000 m Utsukushigahara is the final destination for people come to the Venus Line! It’s colder than Kirigamine because of its altitude.

I didn’t wanna have ice-cream there, so…head down to the Nagato Farm. Enjoyed ice-cream and animals on the farm! And it’s about time to go to see the sunset. Came back to Kirigamine, the combination of sunset and pampas grass is sooooo nice!
