Oil replenishment complete! Today, I would like to go from Kasagi Town to Minamiyamashiro Village to Minamiyamashiro Village to look for autumn colors. Very warm day today! The forecast is for colder weather around tomorrow. I will enjoy the remaining motorcycle season of this year!

This fall has been warm and the leaves have turned late… Where shall we go for autumn colors? According to the autumn colors information, Kasagi-dera Temple seems to be at its best. I would like to go there. It’s my first time going to Kasagi-dera so I’m really looking forward to it.

It’s really warm today, so there are many motorcycles passing by. I wonder if everyone is enjoying touring before it gets cold? I recommend this restaurant’s “matsutake mushroom rice bowl”! I’m not going today, but … The red bridge is very beautiful. I’m happy if the autumn colors are beautiful.

Climb from the Mt. Kasagi trailhead. It is quite a strenuous slope! Hairpin Corner! Slippery with fallen leaves… And it’s a narrow road! Not as bad as “Dark Pass” though, but it is a road that requires considerable caution. Arrive at the parking lot! Round Mt. Kasagi and head for Maple Park.

Large “Magaibutsu” painted with clear lines. It is said that it was made in the Asuka period or the Heian period. Narrow… They say if you hit the right side of the round part of the rock, it makes a “clomping” sound.

When I found out later, I regretted that I should have let it ring. The view from the top of the rock is Great view! It took about 30 minutes of walking on rocky terrain and mountain paths to reach this point.

Now that you mention it, that’s not a road you’d walk down in engineer boots. Arrive at the desired “Maple Park”! The autumn colors are just at their best. I can hear the children’s happy voices. I met wonderful autumn colors and Goshuin(red seals)!

If it had been a little later, the leaves would have started to fall and the maple carpet would have been beautiful. I like autumn colors very much, Maybe we can go to another place later? For the time being, this year’s autumn foliage mission is accomplished!

Next, I would like to visit the sunken bridge in the neighboring town of Minamiyamashiro Village. The Shimanto River in Kochi Prefecture is famous for its sunken bridges. It’s a place I’d like to visit someday. Arrive at the sunken bridge! This bridge is “Koiji-bashi(love’s pathway bridge)” a nice name.

Because at the end of the bridge, it leads to Koishitani Shrine, which is known for romance and matchmaking, They named it “Koiji-bashi(love’s pathway bridge)” It was also the location for the NHK morning drama “Carnation” broadcast in 2011. Crossing a low stone bridge with no parapet is a thrill!

The river is so close to the surface that it feels very fresh! “Koishitani Shrine” is just around the corner It is said that if you walk across the “Koiji-bashi” to pay your respects, your wishes will often come true… Arrived at “Koishitani Shrine.”

The love charms that can be obtained at the twice yearly festivals in April and September seem to be very popular. Koishitani Shrine, a popular power spot by word of mouth, was a very calming shrine. Then I’m going home. Sunset is so beautiful

I enjoyed the autumn colors touring! I would like to go back to look for autumn again!
