もう悩まない!DJI Osmo Pocket 3 とOsmo Action 4違いを徹底解説

Hello, today I’m going to talk about these two devices: DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and Osmo Action 4 Mako . I think there are quite a few people who are wondering which one to buy. I would like to share my thoughts on whether it is not suitable for use or not,

So for today’s menu, I will start by comparing differences in usability due to differences in appearance, points to note, and a comparison of differences in specifications.3. Next, I would like to compare the videos, and finally, I

Would like to summarize and tell you my opinion on which one is suitable for what kind of people.First of all, I would like to talk about the main body, but as you can see, they are completely different. The DJI Osmo Action 4 has the shape of a

Traditional action camera. There are no moving parts, and it is extremely durable . The lens cover is replaceable, and the main body is also waterproof. It will probably get scratched no matter how long you put it , but I feel like it won’t lose its functionality as a camera.Next, I’m

Going with the Osmo Pocket 3, but this one has a gibber on the top. It is controlled by a motor so that it moves in three directions.Furthermore, there is this liquid crystal at the bottom, which also rotates. The previous one was vertical, but this

Time it looks like this. It’s very convenient to be able to check the image on a large screen by streaming it sideways , but it’s still a little delicate because there are so many moving parts. It’s easy to break, so if you have DJI Osmo Action 4,

You can leave it as a pawn or something. It’s not a big deal, but the gimbal part of the Pocket 3 has to be careful not to apply excessive force during shooting, or if you drop it from somewhere, the gimbal will definitely break.

It is necessary to protect the gimbal part by putting it in a case or something , and it is not waterproof , so you need to be careful not to splash it with water. If it falls into water, it will be destroyed in an instant,

So either camera The Osmo Pocket 3 is also equipped with a very high-performance image stabilization system, but the Osmo Pocket 3 cannot fully absorb high-frequency vibrations that cause violent shaking, and the gimbal’s operating range is limited. It doesn’t move infinitely

, so if you turn it all the way, you’ll see a message that says you’ve already added to the limit, and you won’t be able to absorb any more.On the contrary, this is a weakness of DJI Osmo Action 4. I

‘ll show you a video, but when it gets dark, it becomes a little difficult to use image stabilization.Another big difference is that the battery of the DJI Osmo Action 4 can be removed, so if you have several spare batteries. You can keep

Shooting by replacing the battery like this , but the battery of Pot 3 cannot be removed, so if the battery runs out, you can charge it or use it while suddenly charging it with USB.Also , there is a battery handle. They sell it, so if you connect it, you can shoot for

Longer periods of time , but in any case , it’s difficult to use it too vigorously when you’re on a sudden call.Secondly, which one is better in terms of camera performance? Well, the part about whether it looks good is probably the most important part, but to put

It simply, the Osmo Pocket 3 takes better pictures. There are several reasons why. But first of all, the sensor is the part that captures light, which is the most important part of a camera , and the Osmo Pocket 3 comes with a 1-inch sensor.DJI Osmo Action 4 It’s large for an action camera.

However, it is 1/1.3 inch, which is a bit smaller than 1 inch, but its rival GoPro is 1.19 inch, so it is even smaller, so the Osmo Pocket 3 and DJI Osmo Action 4 sensors are much smaller. It’s not small, but it’s a bit inferior to the Osmo Pocket 3. What’s more, the

Osmo Pocket 3 has this camera shake correction, which is corrected by the upper part that I mentioned earlier, called the jibber. Well, you can shoot with a regular camera and then use this gimbal to perform image stabilization

, so the recorded footage is exactly as it was shot with a relatively large 1in sensor. Real, honest images are now being saved. On the other hand, the Osmo Action 4 uses electronic image stabilization, which is often referred to as an electric image stabilizer. I think that’s the method that

Cameras usually use, but due to the way it works , when it gets a little dark, there’s a lot of camera shake, and it becomes impossible to compensate for it.Well, it gets complicated, so I won’t go into too much detail. I’m thinking of doing this, but as it gets darker,

I want to slow down the shutter speed to let in more light. However, if I do that, the image stabilization won’t work anymore, so I’ll increase the ISO sensitivity. If you ask me if I should increase the brightness and increase the shutter speed, then if I

Increase the IS, noise will come out more and more and it will become dirty. This is a bit like the fate of action cameras, but that’s how it works. On the other hand, as I mentioned earlier, the image stabilization for the Osmo Pocket 3 is the sensor

Installed in that camera, and the gimbal absorbs all of the image stabilization , so the shutter speed It doesn’t matter at all, so if it’s a dark place, you can lower the shutter speed to an appropriate value and reduce the frame

Rate , but you can still reduce the image stabilization at all. It doesn’t affect camera shake and compensates for camera shake in the same way as when it’s bright. It doesn’t matter how dark it is.Moreover, the sensor installed is a little larger, so it

Can capture more light. The Osmo Pocket 3 takes better images, especially in dark places. However, the DJI Osmo Action 4 is also quite good as an action camera, and it has a mode that strengthens image stabilization even in the dark. There is less light blurring and the image stabilization is better than before

, but I think it’s a little weaker at night than the Osmo Pocket 3.The low-light performance of the Pocket 3 is… It’s really amazing and a lot of people are saying different things about it, but I’ve compared it to a lot of different cameras, and it’s

True that it shoots images that are comparable to full-frame mirrorless cameras that cost 100,000 yen more. When it comes to shooting while walking, and camera shake is involved, the Osmo Pocket is definitely better. You can take beautiful images. That’s the big difference. I think there are

A lot of minor differences, but there’s also DJI’s special shooting mode called dlogM, which allows for color correction and other things during editing to create really beautiful images. However, it is installed in both cameras. Next is the third comparison video. First of all, both

Are shot in standard video mode at 4k24 FPS. DJI Osmo Action 4 also has the narrowest resolution The images are quite similar, and the colors are very similar since they are from the same manufacturer. It’s very beautiful.Even

Compared to the DJI Osmo Action 4, which was set at the narrowest angle of view, the Osmo Pocket 3 is still a little narrower, right? It’s a full frame equivalent of 20mm, so next time I’m doing a log shoot called dlogM, and

I’m hitting the manufacturer’s genuine rat, and this is an enlarged image of it. If you look around the stone wall, you can see that the Osmo Pocket 3 is much clearer, so we continue with

DlogM footage, but this time the Osmo Action 4 has the widest angle of view. The angle of view is quite wide . As you can see, both use digital zoom during shooting, but you can zoom to 2x. When you use 2x zoom, it looks like this.

However, the Zumo Action zooms slightly like this. Sometimes like a catch There’s something like this.It zoomed in with a jerk.It might just be a coincidence.I’m running this time, so you can see the difference in image stabilization and image quality. They

Both have the narrowest angle of view. The Osmo Action has the narrowest angle of view.I attached both cameras to a selfie stick and took pictures facing backwards.I faced backwards, and I faced forward and took pictures while running as fast as I could. Then,

With the Ozmo Pocket, which has a narrow field of view, things like this can happen where it goes out of the field of view.Next is in-vehicle video, but for those who simply want to capture the image, Zumo Action can be used. However, with the Zumo Pocket, the movement of the gimbal

May be delayed, so it may be difficult to grab what you want instantly. However, you can also control the speed of the gimbal, so it’s nice. I think it will take some getting used to adjusting the settings, etc. However, both of them capture

Very beautiful images, and the last one shows them taking pictures while walking around the city at night. What do you think of the DJI Osmo? With the Action 4, the light blurs a bit, and the image stabilization is a little less effective, making it shaky. As you can see, it

‘s beautiful, but when you compare it, the Nezumo Pocket is much more beautiful . There’s not that much of a difference, but I think there’s a big difference when shooting illuminations while walking . I tried raising the MoAction to ISO 6400, and

The image stabilization seems to work fine, but this time there’s a lot of noise and it looks a little blurry compared to the pocket image. As you can see, I think it’s up to everyone how they feel about this difference, but anyway, the Osmo Pocket 3 is amazing. It

Takes extremely beautiful pictures. Finally, I’d like to summarize a little bit, but what do you think about it? I would like to share my opinion on whether the camera is suitable for the window or not.As a

Guideline for which camera is suitable for the camera, I personally have photographed windows a lot. I think the deciding factor is whether or not you have the time to take pictures while on a trip. You

Want to take pictures from inside the car while driving, or you casually take pictures of your family outings with your smartphone . If you want to take clearer and more stable images, I think the Osmo Pocket is recommended. You can get clear pictures even in the dark, you can get up close, and

The picture quality is not too wide, so I recommend the Osmo Pocket. On the other hand, the superiority of the Action 4 or the superiority of an action camera is best seen in situations where you have to

Shoot in situations where you don’t have a lot of leeway, such as when things are shaking violently or at super high speeds. I think an action camera is more advantageous when you’re on the move

, in heavy snow, underwater, or in other situations where you can’t use as much energy as you would like to take a picture. For example, it’s winter, so in a snowy mountain. If you want to capture the look of

Someone calmly skiing on the slopes at a ski resort, looking like they’re having fun, or want to look beautiful after skiing , I highly recommend the Osmo Pocket. If you want to take a picture of yourself slipping around in the falling snow, or slipping covered in snow, you can use an Osmo

Action, a helmet, a chest mount, or a selfie stick. That’s fine , but once you attach it and start recording, you can concentrate on your own activity, and I

Think it’s because of that concentration that you’ll be able to get good pictures. But whether it’s covered in mud or falling through the air, it will continue to take pictures no matter what happens. If the battery runs out, you can just replace it

, and the angle of view is extremely wide, so I don’t know what to say. Whether it’s someone else’s action or someone else’s action, you won’t miss anything. Even if you don’t point the camera in that direction, you’ll always be able to capture it, so even

In situations where you don’t have much time to spare, you can still capture it. I think one of the great things about action cameras is that you can capture great action scenes without having to worry

About it.For example, even if you’re shooting on a bicycle or a motorcycle, you can’t really focus on the camera when you’re really running, and it suddenly rains. Sometimes it’s raining or snowing, and you can use the Osmo Pocket to remove it, but it’s dangerous right now when it vibrates, gets wet, and

Makes you nervous that the camera might break. Well, in such a situation, I have the peace of mind that as long as I have the action camera installed and press the record button, I will be fine no matter what happens.Personally, I feel that way. Well , if you want to enjoy

A photoshoot where you can afford to take a photo, use Osmo Pocket. It’s not just me doing something hard.It doesn’t matter if it’s someone else, but I want to take pictures of someone working hard at something. In that case, I think an action camera is better. However, there

Is no such thing as one or the other, and I think many people wear both, so today’s comparison video. I think it would be a good idea for you to make your choice by referring to the following, so today I would like

To compare DJI Osmo Action 4 and Osmo Pocket 3.I will continue to release various videos of these small cameras. Please take a look and see you in the next video Goodbye
