【本動画について：About this video】
日本縦断自転車旅行のうち、東京から青森まで走った際の動画です。
主に国道4号沿いに北上していき、4日間で727kmを走りました。
1日目：東京→白河（195km）
2日目：白河→仙台（163km）
3日目：仙台→盛岡（189km）
4日目：盛岡→青森（180km）

スタート地点は東京の日本橋です。
ここから西に行くと国道1号ですが、今回は北の国道4号を進みます。

100kmほど進むと、餃子が有名な宇都宮に到着します。
私が行ったお店は「宇都宮みんみん」です。
「ダブル・スイ・ライス」と注文すると、焼き餃子2人前、水餃子1人前とライスのセットが出てきます。
ボリューム満点のこのお店の人気メニューです。

新幹線停車駅がある白河で一泊し、さらに北に向かうと福島に到着します。
福島では桃が有名です。
ファーマーズマーケットに行くと、非常に多くの種類の桃を買うことができます。
私は動画内で買った桃をそのまま食べていますが、皮の毛が固いため、包丁で切って皮をむいたほうが食べやすいです。

仙台では牛タンが有名です。
私は仙台に住む友人の勧めで「司」に行きました。
司は仙台とロサンゼルスにしかお店がありませんので、仙台に行ったら立ち寄るべきです。
厚切りで食べ応えがあって、自転車に乗った後に食べると幸せな気持ちになります。

仙台の次は盛岡に到着します。
盛岡では冷麺やじゃじゃ麺なども有名ですが、一番有名なのはわんこそばではないでしょうか。
私が行ったお店は「やぶ屋」です。
このお店では100杯以上食べると横綱認定をもらえて、お店のノートに名前を書き残すことができます。
店員さんは、「あまり噛まずに飲み込むことが、100食べるコツだ」と言っていましたが、それくらい麺が柔らかくて食べやすいです。
私も頑張って104杯食べて横綱認定を頂きました。

秋田ではきりたんぽの発祥の地、鹿角に立ち寄りました。
あまり時間がなかったので十分観光できませんでしたが、秋田はまた来ようと思います。

最後は青森に到着です。
青森といえばリンゴをイメージする人が多いかもしれませんが、イカやホタテなどの海産物も美味しいです。

青森から東京へは新幹線で戻ることもできますが、私は北海道に渡ってからフェリーで茨城まで帰ってきました。
商船三井フェリー「さんふらわあ さっぽろ」は、私がこの旅行に行ったすぐ後に新造船の3代目が就航しており、現在では新しい船に乗ることができます。

This is a video of traveling from Osaka to Fukuoka during a bicycle trip across Japan.
I rode 727km in 4 days from Tokyo to Aomori.
Day 1: Tokyo → Shirakawa (195km)
Day 2: Shirakawa → Sendai (163km)
Day 3: Sendai → Morioka (189km)
Day 4: Morioka → Aomori (180km)

The starting point is Nihonbashi, Tokyo.
From here, National Route 1 extends westward, but this time we will follow National Route 4 which extends northward.

After traveling about 100 km, gyoza arrives at the famous Utsunomiya.
The shop I went to is “Utsunomiya Minmin”.
If you order “Double Sui Rice”, you will get a set of 2 grilled gyoza, 1 boiled gyoza and rice.
It is a popular menu of this shop.

Overnight at Shirakawa, where the Shinkansen stops, and go to Fukushima.
Peach is famous in Fukushima.
When you go to the farmers market, you can buy a huge variety of peaches.
I ate the peach as it was in the video, but it is easier to cut it with a knife and then eat it.

Beef tongue is famous in Sendai.
I went to Tsukasa at the recommendation of a friend living in Sendai.
The shops are only in Sendai and Los Angeles, so if you go to Sendai you should go there.
The beef tongue in this shop is cut thick.
And eating after riding a bike will make you happy.

After Sendai, I arrived at Morioka.
Morioka is also famous for Reimen (cold noodles) and JaJa-men (meat miso noodles), but the most famous one is Wanko soba.
The store I went to is “Yabuya”.
If you eat more than 100 bowls at this shop, you will get Yokozuna certification and you can write your name on the notebook of the shop.
The clerk said, “Swallowing without chewing too much is the key to eating 100 bowls of noodles.”
The noodles are so soft and easy to eat.
I also ate 104 bowls and received Yokozuna certification.

In Akita, I stopped at Kazuno, the birthplace of Kiritanpo (Rise stick).
I didn’t have much time to go sightseeing, so I want to come Akita again.

Finally I arrived in Aomori.
For Aomori, many people may imagine an apple, but seafood such as squid and scallops is also delicious.

You can return from Aomori to Tokyo by Shinkansen (bullet train), but I crossed Tsugaru Strait to Hokkaido and returned to Ibaraki by ferry.
The MOL Ferry “Sunflower Sapporo” has the third generation ship in service. I boarded the second generation ship, but you can board the new third generation ship now.
