Senjoji Lake Cycle 千丈寺サイクリング
Dean was kind enough to make a 100 km ride with 1000 meters of climbing for us.
The typhoon yesterday has made the weather much cooler and almost perfect for cycling. The ride took us around beautiful hamlets and country roads that we would otherwise not visit. Our final destination being a lovely cycle around Senjoji Lake. At the lake, we happened upon Mirokoji Temple full of Golden Happy Buddhas. The staff invited us in for bottle of water and gave a cypress block to write a prayer. Definitely, a great day in the saddle.

昨日の台風のおかげで天気はだいぶ涼しくなり、サイクリングに最適だった。 普段は訪れないような美しい集落や田舎道を巡った。 最終目的地は、美しい千丈寺湖畔だった。 湖のほとりで金色の幸福の仏像でいっぱいの弥勒寺に出くわした。 スタッフは私たちを中に招き入れて水を飲ませてくれ、祈りを書くための護摩木をくれた。 間違いなく、素晴らしい一日だった。
