When I walked through Riga the first night, I wasn’t too sure how Nala would like it since it came across as a rather loud city with load of trams, busses, lorries as well as quite a bit of construction work going on as well. But she exceeded my expectations and she was absolutely perfect. She spent quite some time in the bag while we were exploring Riga Old Town and she was happy and relaxed while we went on a wee boat tour as well 😻 I can really recommend the boat tour so if you’re ever in Riga go check it out ❤️

We’re Dean & Nala, and we’ve been best friends since December 2018. I was cycling around the world when I heard Nala meowing out for me somewhere in the Bosnian mountains. With no intentions of keeping Nala, I knew i had to save the wee kitten and take her to the vet – but I was well aware of the fact that it might be a bit of a challenge considering I only had a bike. However, despite my concerns, Nala quickly climbed out of the front bag on the bike handle and straight onto my shoulder. Since then, we’ve been travelling the world together.     Wonderful channel! I also like it that you are careful with Nala, you keep her on harness, from my experience – having cat as a pet (or as a family member 🙂 – requires safety measures. Cats are generally timid and prone to wandering off. That's why our cats who live indoors with us but go out for a few hours every day have top grade GPS collars that show exact location on google maps and work in several dozens countries, it is expensive, but it gives certain peace of mind when they are out of the house.

    Dean, I love watching you and Nala explore the world. I noticed in multiple videos that Nala apparently only eats dry food. I learned (too late for my precious cat) that it's very important for cats to eat wet food to avoid (or at least delay) chronic kidney disease. Water is not enough. I'm sharing this because I love you both so much. ❤❤

    What a lovely city! I'm glad you were able to take Nala along on the boat ride – excellent views and information about the history of Riga.
    I think that your videos would be a wonderful resource for young kids in school who are studying the countries of the world: you and Nala give us glimpses into what tourists see and also the countryside and how the local people live – true to your mission of 1 Bike 1 World 😀

    Perhaps flags + kites do remind Nala of big predatory birds. Maybe before you found her abandoned out in the middle of nowhere, large birds might have dove at her. But now she knows she is safe in her basket or on Daddy's arm.

    How cool meeting the old street artist in this beautiful tiwn. And a serenade by accordion of "Somewhere My Love" just for Nala! And later a piano player, so nice!

    A canal ride in a gorgeous wooden boat throughout a beautiful city, with a little cat as First Mate, lol! SUCH a good behaved lady on the boat, enjoying some stunning sights with Dad. The world through Nala's eyes is a wonderous place.
    Funny enough l like to buy magnets as souvenirs too. Small, easy to pack & you can remember your trip everytime you look at your fridge, ha!ha!
