It’s his first time riding on dirt with this bike today, So I’m secretly hoping he’ll show us something spectacular😏 First, let’s hit the trail Magario Line! This bike is in the category(?) so-called "big off-road bike", but compared to the Tenere or Africa Twin, it’s significantly lighter. Even so, it still weighs 160kg with gas and oil, so apart from flat dirt, how will it handle on rough dirt trails? By the way, it is very quiet! The exhaust volume is as same as that of a Serow. "Oh!" “Even when I open the throttle,“ “the traction control kicks in and it doesn’t accelerate.” What’s the point of traction control if it doesn’t accelerate? But it seems like you can tweak the settings, So it shouldn’t be a problem. It’s packed with electronic controls. It has fairly on-road oriented tires. On our way to the next trail, We found a new work road, so why not go? Will it be perfect to test the potential of the 690? Before talking about the weight or tires, “I can’t steer.” He’s struggling because the steering angle is so low 😑 I tried sitting on it earlier, since it’s a lowered version, it’s easier to touch the ground than my WR250F (also lowered). It’s not that rough for a work road, I wish it would be a bit rougher for capturing a good image… He can’t steer here as well 😝 Here comes horizontal rut that is common on work roads. And it’s getting a bit rocky too. Now it’s getting fun 😏 Oh, that was close! “I want to capture the moment you tip over.” Oh, slipped out what I was thinking 😀 Here’s the sharpest turn of the day. What’s he going to do? Oh, he got off the bike! He gives up very easily… By the way, this LANZA also has traction control. Was it the traction control working just now? He struggled up here, “Ah, it’s a dead end.” Well, I knew it. Explore the branch line. “Haa” “This reminds me” “of my first trail ride.” “I feel so.” So, that means he’s already tired 😵💫 There were several branch lines, all of them dead ended! By the way, making a U-turn on a Serow is so easy! Next, take the Obi-Dainichisan Line. “Hello!” He came down from the right wall. And then went back up again. “I have to watch YURUCAMP, YURUCAMP.” He recognized YURUCAMP just from “Hello/”, so he must be a big YURUCAMP fan. “Hello again!” Change the order. Since it’s a flat dirt trail, it’s a perfect place to showcase the 690’s true capabilities. But today is Saturday. There might be some road repair work ahead, where 90% of the road is collapsed. so we might see construction vehicles coming on. When I rode the Tenere 700 before, even on flat dirt like this, I was really nervous. But with the 690, that doesn’t seem to be the case. It’s fast enough on the paved road, So as a tourer bike for enjoying dirt (not just going through it), it might be quite an excellent machine. I wondered at first why he bought it, but it seems pretty good. Half of this road here had collapsed before, it was nicely restored recently. Unfortunately, it wasn’t captured on the front cam. On weekdays, it’s probably under construction. This place was 90% collapsed before, But restore work has finally started. “Maybe we can make it.” No, we can’t!
