【本田技研発祥の地】ビーナスライン美ヶ原から静岡県浜松へ/おっさんのひとり旅 2024 2日目【VFR800F・モトブログ】

Hi! I’m HAKTAKKO RIDER! Day 2 of solo journey! Firstly, in the morning, ride along the Venus Line again to "Utsukushigahara". The air is clean and beautiful today! If I had come earlier, would I have been able to see the sea of clouds…? The weather is nice and pleasant! Ride towards Utsukushigahara! It’s getting colder as the altitude increases… The road’s getting twisty, too! Venus Line end point. At an altitude of 2000 m, this roadside station is located at the highest altitude in Japan. It offers panoramic views of the Northern Alps, Mount Asama and Sakudaira. I will immediately fulfil my rider’s duties.(laugh) Beautiful scenery and delicious soft serve ice cream… Best for! bear! I was going to go to the next place right away. But it was cosy and I stayed longer… I’m also curious about the "back Venus Line" road. I really need to go to Hamamatsu today, so next time… I’m going to come back.(laugh) I’ve been seeing a lot of roadsters since yesterday. Is there a roadster meeting? Return the way to "Venus Line Kirigamine" the way I came. Take a short break and head towards Hamamatsu. I will be riding on the highway for some time to come. Partner mealtime! I didn’t eat lunch myself…(laugh) Next I go to the place where Oyajisan (Mr Soichiro Honda) was born and grew up. As a great lover of Honda, I thought I had to visit at least once… A place where visitors can come into contact with the trajectory of Soichiro Honda, the former Futamata Town Hall, a registered national tangible cultural property, has been converted into a facility. ASIMO welcomes the visitors.(But ASIMO doesn’t move…(laugh)) Exhibit of motorbikes and other products and artifact’s related to Oyajisan. Oyajisan’s ‘spirit of craftsmanship’. The motorbike in the centre of the exhibition room is on loan from the Honda Collection Hall in Motegi and is replaced every 3-4 months. Oyajisan is very good at drawing! He only started painting after he retired as president. Oops? The engine won’t start… Why ?????? Switch off and try again. Is this a road service case? I wouldn’t want to be transported to a repair shop in a strange place. I’m a little too open on the accelerator. Thank God! The engine started! I didn’t have time for a quick tour. I hope to take the time to visit again one day. It seems there are still places associated with Oyajisan. Next stop is a certain famous road sign. I’ve always wanted to come here. Let’s go to the moon for a moment.(laugh) A little boy is waving! bye-bye I would be happy if this is the start of that child becoming a rider in the future… Next, go to the place where ‘Honda Motor’ is said to have started. 1946 The Honda Technical Research Institute was established on this site to research manufacturing work methods for internal combustion engines and internal combustion vehicles. An apartment building is currently being built on this site. Move quickly so as not to disturb neighbors. I toured the site in a hurry, but it slowly became deeply moving to think that this is where ‘Honda’ began. For VFR, it’s like coming to the site of his grandfather’s family home…? I will now head to the hotel where I will be staying today. I will be staying with you for the night! Today’s dinner was Hamamatsu gyoza! This is a famous Hamamatsu gyoza restaurant in Nishi-Iba-cho, Naka-ku, Hamamatsu City. First up… a glass of draught beer! Daifuku’s speciality, the Genkotsu gyoza, is a hearty dumpling weighing approximately 58 g each. The juicy filling, full of meat and vegetable flavor, is wrapped in a thick, rich skin. Thanks for the food! I’m so full today… I’ll just have one drink and go to bed.(laugh) Continue to Day 3 of the solo journey! preview of next installment The second day of the trip alone was Finally, the last day of the trip alone… Ferry across to Ise. Ride along the Ise-Shima Skyline. I have also been to Hari Terrace!
