随分と山間の内陸を随分と走ってきた感覚。
旭川から手塩くらいの距離は有りそうだ。
北海道の内陸走行だと、やがて海が出てくることもなく、目的地点の目印があやふや。
そして何処を走行しているのか？今何処へ着ているのかも怪しくなってくる意識に抗い、看板やその文字について深く理解してみたくなる光景がわたくしにはありそうだ。
チョイチョイ見つけた言葉を拾い、目から得る情報に色付けをしたがる。
そのような心境はとても自由度があり、余計な情報に溢れかえることなく記憶に残す事ができると、心の片隅で考えているのであろう。今をどうしたいのか？を素直を受け入れることができる。
大勢の人が住む大都市では、携帯を肌身離さず持ち歩くのは普通の事だが、この北海道へ来て自転車をひたすら進めている状況では、携帯のmapをずっと眺めていても、何も変わることはない。
ほぼほぼ山と空、そして前を走る父と、ハンドルを握る自分の手。視界から得る情報は常時ザックりとしている。
なので、神経質な話になるが、ちょっとした自転車からの擬音や、ハンドルグリップのラバーの巻き返しなど、少し気になる程度の事が、とても気になってくる。
そんな中、結構な日差しの走行に父の飲み物残量が半分を切ってきている。
自動販売機もなくコンビニもない。MAP上にセイコーマートが陸別町にひとつ。
そのセイコーマートの近くに【道の駅オーロラタウン93りくべつ】がある。
そこでまとまった食事ができたら幸いだ。
とりあえず水分がなくなるのは、かなりマズイ。
父はアイスクリームを1日３つは食べる男だ。（2022年の北海道時統計調べ）
☆Consequence.
どんどん下って行くにつれ、雲行きが怪しくなってきます。
あまり天気予報は信用できないとはいえチョイチョイ見ているので、これから天候が崩れそうなことは解ってます。ですが本当に雲が多くなってくると一時は幻想的な感覚になりますが、その後はやはりへこみますね。
サイクリストに天候、風の影響大きく重要です(笑)

第二章 宗谷岬から先

■Preface.
それは2022年の5月。父親との北海道一周ツーリングを実施してから始まった。
2022年の昨年は、苫小牧より逆時計回りで北海道1周にトライアル。その内容としては、順調に襟裳岬から釧路を抜け風連湖から野付半島を堪能し、知床峠を超えて網走まで何とか走行する事ができていた。
ここまでで自転車のトラブルは二人でパンクは3回と、スポーク修理は釧路のサイクルショップで1回。どの原因も荷物の積み過ぎが要因の一つにあった。
キャンプ場もまだ開いていない5月のシーズン前となる北海道であったが、目的である最北端の稚内へ状況を見ながら進めていた。
しかし、その後スポーク折れ（計5本）などの状況悪化により、リムの修正ができない我々は最悪の事態を考慮し、応急処置しながら雄武町から急遽内陸を走り旭川へ。
そして札幌にてリム修理をサイクルショップで行っていただいたが、スケジュールの関係もあり苫小牧へ帰る判断に一致した。
なので今年は
時計回りで稚内方面からツーリングを堪能することが我々の一つの目的となった。
