Boarding the JR train, heading out to search for delicious restaurants again today! A new trainee driver is undergoing on-the-job training with a senior colleague by their side! JR conducts safe driving through rigorous one-on-one education. I trust and board the train (+.+)! Transferring to another line at Nagoya Station! Heading towards the destination! We’re almost there. Entering the platform! Arrived at JR Atsuta Station, where there are delicious restaurants~ Trains busy carrying passengers across many tracks. TABICAFE (lunch is also served during lunchtime). There are four lunch options, and the menu changes depending on the day! Choose from A lunch to D lunch / Take-out menu is also available. Dinner menu is available from 5:00 PM. Curry, hamburger, bagel plate dish (+.+) The depiction of dishes and their contents with fun illustrations is very impressive! Today’s lunch menu is written on the central blackboard! Just mention the course name you want to eat! ~(Select upper row lunch) The interior is not large, but it’s cute, with unique decor that catches the eye (+.+) Quite retro wall decorations! Under the glass table, you can see postcards and maybe a cigarette case? It’s reminiscent of a Korean manga cafe, somehow! Delicious smells wafting from the kitchen (+.+). It reminds me of a Korean manga cafe scene! Today’s set meal: Mixed fry set 1290 yen All lunches come with soup and salad! Vegetables come with balsamic sauce / Fries come with tartar sauce.. Good job! Shrimp fry (tartar sauce) Fish fry (tartar sauce) Chicken cutlet Minced cutlet Iced coffee / 480 yen (separate order) Pouring syrup and cream, swirling~ A collection of paper napkins!? They might be in this small toilet, right?! Having a delicious lunch, heading back to Atsuta Station. There are many uniquely designed trains! It’s the Airport Express train bound for Chubu Centrair International Airport! ~ Heading to the next destination! I can see the Shinkansen (+.+) A walking tour through the city! It’s Sakae, Nagoya City. Vehicles are following traffic rules, passing by (+.+) Bicycle parking (fee required)! The streets are very clean (+.+) There’s a Korean soju and food izakaya! The symbol of downtown Sakae, a mini Ferris wheel! I’ve never ridden it (-.-) Duty-free for foreigners at "Don Quijote"! Surprisingly, there are many useful items at reasonable prices~ TV Tower (Sakae’s main symbol / upper central observation deck) There are various restaurants around the TV Tower! ~ The taste is exquisite, and some places operate by reservation only! It feels like a very popular tourist spot, with a 50% Japanese + 50% foreigner vibe (+.+) Surprisingly, Korean restaurants stand out (+.+). How do they compare to local ones (+.+)?… Gomitori (Sakae branch) I’ve come to the original Nagoya cuisine specialty shop "Gomitori"! Various sake is on sale from 5 to 7 pm (+.+) Exploring the menu! Various snacks including meal dishes are available (+.+) Swirling! It’s still early, so the customers are yet to arrive! The ceiling lights and neon signs create a relaxed izakaya atmosphere~ Eating and drinking with snacks and alcohol in hand, the old black-and-white Japanese drawings are unique! Choosing from the menu~ Being a reputed place, every dish is said to be delicious, so it’s hard to decide (-.-) Today, I’ll try the "yakitori"! I’ll have a platter first, then choose by type again… Alcohol menu on sale only from 5:00 to 7:00 PM ~ Decided on a lemon sour, easy to drink with low alcohol content (+.+) Today’s recommended menu. There’s also an English menu for foreigners (owner can take orders in English). Please refer to it! Basic snack (cabbage with sweet red miso) Sweet and savory miso with crispy cabbage (+.+) It’s a shop with a solid foundation! Miso kushikatsu / 1 piece 200 yen Cheers~ It’s even more delicious when sprinkled with ichimi spice! Unfortunately, there are only two left.. It’s the best~! It was a delightful dinner at the izakaya!~ Customers suddenly started increasing as soon as we left the shop (+.+) There are many group reservations and foreign tourists, so I felt the popularity of the shop (+.+) The sunset shines in, and the neon lights of Sakae decorate the streets.
