the [Music] pict I’ll take this corn and I’ll [Music] like the shop sells nothing but rice you know uncle has come through the rice field and and this shop’s Farm behind this check they have good morning beautiful people and welcome back to another episode of motto munis Japan where M Zach is writing out to bring you the best of Japanese foods to your screens so in this episode we’re actually going out to a place called Kuro matsun which is west of Sao where I live Kur uh we’re going there actually specifically for some pizza uh ladies and gents we are riding almost 4 hours just for pizza that’s not the definition of riding out for food I don’t know what is this place actually is really famous and it’s been recommended to me by my friend Eddie who in fact is also going to be joining us today hokido veteran he’s actually been living here over 10 years with his own house and everything you might be thinking Pizza Japan not really Japanese food uh but hey this is local pizza in fact is that good that the locals have dubbed it Pizza as soft as muchi fua fua which means really fluffy so we’re going out for some fluffy Pizza also a famous spot for motorcyclists as well it’s situated in a m noi which basically means a roadside station that’s the plan uh we’re also going to be riding past place called rankoshi in fact cutting right through it rankoshi is known for producing some of hoko’s best rice you might be thinking how are we going to be hauling it back with the with this thing over here not the most practical means of transportation is it well check this this ride is actually really special so we have my wife and also Eddie’s wife joining us today not on the bikes they’re actually coming with us in the car so it’s a bit of a a bike tour road trip special in this episode and because we’ll be cutting through the Rural Plains of hokido I’m sure we’ll be spotting some really local food stands as well to get super warm today I think we’re going to reach the 30s so yeah let’s uh let’s stay cool and ride out for some fua fua pizza anything else think just about C everything [Music] go you ready let’s go super excited today actually I is finally able to join us for the ride these guys misses along should be fun this gas station is dodgy always I can never seem to hit right on the first go so can I have some M please you that’s what I needed first a little rip after 2 weeks and yeah it’s uh already got my juices [Music] flowing finally again now onto some open roads this is the road that leads onto joanet actually uh very familiar with this road it’s beautiful very bumpy actually uh in the middle towards the end uh but yeah the weather’s cool it’s nice it’s not uh too hot well as long as you’re moving that is and to be faired even like it being cloudy it’s still quite muggy and warm probably going to reach about 32° at some point [Music] today but cherries so rumo yeah ched [Music] Farm [Music] good man all right ladies all [Music] right [Music] Eddie tapping his helmet going in we can’t go crazy with the women yeah it’s fine they’ve got Google Maps man it’s fine it’s an easy route anyway don’t [Music] worry actually a quite popular Dum on the left hand side over here as well it’s really beautiful during the Autumn season to see the fall leaves yeah joean is a is a popular spot for uh to visit during autumn in fact as Eddie was mentioning earlier uh this road is a hot spot there are a lot of police officers cars sneaked away uh it’s funny actually I was only on this road on Wednesday this week I had to uh participate in an English teaching event actually at uh a school in rankoshi so we’re probably going to cut through rankoshi today as well uh been told to be aware of deer and also raccoons on this road uh by the school uh quite a lot of them and there’s also signs ahead haaa really has a collection of cool uh like animal warning signs scattered about be good to have like a play a bingo game right take pictures against each one of those pretty high up aren’t we I’m not sure if they’ve gone past me oh not fair bit of traffic on this road today which is not usually the case I suppose people are just going places there is the weekend of the RO and this is one of the main roads outside of uh to get out of sapuro wag as we come down in altitude we were crossing over a mountain pass just a moment ago and now we’ve come down we’re going to go around Mount russu and then continue going straight to Kuru Kur Kur kurai that’s right oh is there anything interesting here I wonder watermelon yeah just watermelons I guess oh some tomato they picked some [Music] con so C so we came here last year and tried the sweet corn and it turned out to be marvelous so I picked up some more sweet corn what’s happening you good yeah what’s that that mushroom what is it it’s like a Jen it’s like a jinsen honey yeah yeah 4,000 Yen as well $40 that’s a lot for but that’s it’s probably some pure local organic honey right fruit yeah brown sugar this is brown sugar oh okay I’ll give give a couple do what have you got going on I got a double Banger going on my hurt over here eating corn nice warm corn yeah all right here you go go and take a look at some watermelon how much 27 2,700 yen is that reasonable hell yeah bro is it let’s get one then and have it this evening should we do it let’s do it yeah let’s get one I’ll take this corn and I’ll shove it so far in that watermelon it’s PG PG videos bro you make me put an hour rating on them oh that’s good that’s good I got this no it’s fine no no no I know what he’s doing yeah 9 lb right there what we got there a watermelon is actually a symbol of of uh summer here in Japan you’re waiting for us and then that’s why C up I knew you were behind us no you didn’t no you didn’t no you didn’t no you didn’t why because when we were coming down the hill I seen that light I I stopped to the m all right let’s go a breeze after having stopped for a while and uh worked up pway it feels amazing wo all right so we just picked up some corn and watermelon I alling and now we are heading towards oh R1 2007 as well uh we heading towards Kur kuruna except I’m not really sure if it’s uh the right direction but uh I believe it is I believe it’s one straight road but I’ll need to double check that in a second uh but yeah um that place where we’ve just picked up the sweet from is uh we actually tried it last year and it was amazing this is a beautiful stretch of road this is what we would say Hokkaido fo meaning think of hokido this is the image you would get tractor blowing away open Fields mountains in the back it’s [Music] amazing smell that smells good do [Music] it uh FL what that planting flowers inside of the road look how pretty these flowers are just lot of Maintenance we have a right turn coming over ahead all [Music] right [Music] lots of like fluff floting about here oh look a Ron sign uh here in h to be uh to be wary of but yeah know what I was saying these fluffy floating things I’m not really sure what plant they come from but uh for some reason I also have an association of Hokkaido with it I don’t know where that comes from maybe a picture that I saw uh of Hokkaido somewhere uh but yeah very hokido PO he just saw a sneaky police car just a moment ago hidden away in the uh on a side L Side Road coming up dude I look like a p what’s happening so we’ve just done a little pit stop we brought some corn from the Woodside and now we’ve just pulled over at this uh Sweet Spot in fact and just uh yeah taking a little break before we get back on I just saw a cop car as well just sneakily packed in the road man these roads it can be really difficult cuz they’re completely open speed limit is something stupid like 50 km an hour do you expect to do 50 km around there I think 1 hour and about 10 minutes left to our to our journey get it that corn is sweet as oh man a dude it’s so normally I’m not really a big fan of like just steamed corn I usually like it grilled but this this is delicious man this is nice this is real good listen when you’re starving everything tastes good TR the corn PS yeah baby PSN how come they have only potatoes sweet potato how they don’t drive around with corn oh there two ladies trying to getting six stitches oh y it was well he’s not nice usually in sapor they take you out of the truck and put you into the car where air conditioned he’s horrible he’s a horrible cop did I tell them about cop ethics I’m a teacher I can teach [Music] you 1 hour to go 62 km okay I actually IGN this road I think it’s a bit of a shortcut so let’s see who gets that first I think it’s going to lead us back on the main road and I assume they’ve taken out the road out there I think a m just gone a bit too too ahead I’m here I took there he is the best gelato around here you turning it around oh okay okay wanted to come here we haven’t been inside no that’s why I was so excited about this dirty ass [ __ ] is that where did you pick that up from from machine this dirty [ __ ] you ride it this is this is what it looks like when you ride it how you doing bro I’m doing good man you all right yeah I’m enjoying I’m enjoying this beautiful weather look at this beautiful mountain look at that Sleeping Beauty that’s exactly what it is we’ve just rode around that we that whole thing side of it right now there’s snow on still is really you don’t see a little bit of snow oh in that Creator right there right I don’t know if the camera can pick it up I can see bit snow yeah got thisi it’s calledo new been here a couple of times actually haven’t really explored it inside behind me uh we usually come and we go to the Gil store right over there if you can see that right there so the ladies have gone to freshen up themselves I think they’ve gone to buy some vegetables as well cuz in uh usually you can buy some really local cheap local produce and it’s yeah quite nice are those protected no man these are polo jeans baby I ride a style you’re riding a sports bike bro you just need a miracle are you are you not sliding around with those things man I slide I grip it again well I’m a slipp and slider so I need me some some grip you get me come should we go take a little walk and look at the bikes all right what we got here Echo performance I think it’s a 250 n nah look at look at that man n all right let’s throw that way that’s a nice one though we have here though jeez who who monster is that man oh 250 jeez I would have expected that yeah yeah a f i don’t know man this guy this guy’s got a little 50 cc scooter on steroid oh look at that he’s got all he’s uh connected up with all power and stuff look that’s what you want for toing I I didn’t say that but but but it’s got a lot of points over the I one for really like this actually I was going to get Yoshi for M you know I’m going to get a [Music] Yoshi wow it’s like 15 20 minutes away from my old [Music] place [Music] they’re going to go back today [Music] yeah oh that’s nice all right see you okay right let’s get cing then she picks up her kick going look at that I can take one was cing oh that’s gorgeous man that really [Music] nice it’s a good little pit stop let’s get going hey it’s always nice stopping over that a meoi it really brings out the traveling Vibes because everyone who stopping there is basically out on the road so you get to see lots of bikes see lots of different places it’s nice atmosphere all right so we’re continuing all right to kurat after our little n noi stop it is 1 hour away I believe from here and man it is roasting I’m dripping in sweat uh so this air right now feels amazing see that’s it once you’re on the bike and you moving feels good [Music] wow [Music] oh what’s going on here yanis ooh let’s take a look lookis yeah is oo oo o that’s sexy in it oh look at that look at that be an event or something quite a few of [Music] them so we’re cutting through uh a place called rankoshi right now and rankoshi is famous for its rice and I’m just trying to find the store believe it’s on this road and we’re going to go past it if we haven’t already uh but yeah uh rangi is the place to come to for for [Music] R this what I got the rice from you want to get some yeah yeah so we we’ve made another pit stop and this time we’re in rankoshi rankoshi is famous for its rice I actually came to this very shop last week to pick up some uh some rice so he supplying because it was that delicious all right I’m all right bro hey did you see all those derby cars man yeah I know there must be a race truck around here somewhere dud I would be interested in watching them we could Google it yeah even got two types of rice here different brand no it’s the same brand no this is n ah so is more delous from that is it so it’s a good job I got this one so initially I bought that he said this is sweeter and that one is a little bit more sour so I I got a refund and I got this one instead yeah you made a right dish okay this is very famous delicious R so this is a famous branded rice right everybody complimenting this get the [Laughter] F has to come through Uncle Eddie has to come through look look hey unle Eddie what year because you know this looks outdated [Music] can come out and take a look let’s take a look the rice field huh those are the rice field and this shops Farm is behind this shed they have the r [Music] [Applause] actually
