北海道雨竜郡北竜町の石油沢地区と留萌市留萌川の源流のひとつチバベリ地区とを結ぶ道が古地図に描かれていた。
ほんとうにその道は存在していたのか？もし、実在していたならばその痕跡は残っているだろうか？
現地にてドローンを飛ばして、また現場に赴いてその真偽を明らかにする。
突如始まった「北空知の古道探索シリーズ」の第１弾である。はたして、第２弾、第３弾はあるのだろうか？
ちなみに、国土地理院のサイトで公開されている1977年の航空写真を見ると、チバベリの沢づたいにかなり奥地まで営林署(当時)の林道が整備され、周りが植林されているのがわかる。ドローンから見た地形でもそのころ整備されたと思われる林道の枝線らしき跡も確認できた。
