I am heading to Iwate/Akita for the first time in 8 months since last August.

If you leave Tokyo in the middle of the night, you will arrive in Fukushima Prefecture in the morning.
Tohoku Expressway Sendai Miyagi IC area is foggy and visibility is poor, so drive carefully.
When a large vehicle in front of you is like this, it becomes an indicator.
Tohoku Expressway Ichinoseki IC
We arrived in Ichinoseki City, Iwate Prefecture in about 7 hours.
First, I will head to Genbikei, which I couldn’t go to last time.

Temperatures in Iwate Prefecture are forecast to rise to 30 degrees Celsius during the day.
It’s cold in the morning, but it’s also the time to think about what to wear when riding a bike.

I got sweaty from walking and my shirt was soaked, so I decided to go to my accommodation early.
Accommodation will be at a hotel in Kitakami City for both days.
I took a detour and cooled down by the river.
I entered the Kitakami city area.

From Kusano Inn Kitakami, head towards Kakunodate/Tazawa via Yokote City, Akita Prefecture.

It was a pleasant morning in Kitakami City with the appearance of fresh greenery.

Route 107 spans 192,9km from Ofunato City on the coast to Yurihonjo City via Yokote City, Akita Prefecture.
It is also an area with heavy snowfall, so the number of snow sheds is increasing.

A circular lake with a circumference of approximately 20km and a depth of 423.4m, the deepest in Japan.
I would like to see the Tatsuko statue while running around the outer circumference.
There is an old branch school nearby and I will go there.
The area around Lake Tazawa is cold and you can see cherry blossoms in many places.
As we passed through the forest, beautiful cherry blossoms were blooming.

I was satisfied with seeing the beautiful cherry blossoms in Akita, so I headed to Koiwai Farm.

The cherry blossoms had already bloomed, but the greenery felt majestic.
I would like to go to Koiwai Farm and purchase souvenirs etc.
Next, I will head to Jodogahama, which I couldn’t go to last year.
Get on the Tohoku Expressway at Morioka IC and use the Morioka Crossing Road.

Get off the EV from the Visitor Center and head towards it on foot as there is a sidewalk.

Outside the fishing port, there was a thick embankment that automatically opened and closed.

We have been blessed with clear skies for three days, and the heat during the day is unbelievable for Tohoku.
April 29th (Monday) I have some business to do in Kitakami City and will be visiting two places in the morning.
Although the cherry blossoms are no longer there, I will head to the Kitakami Exhibition Area.It
will take about 10 minutes to reach the Kitakami Exhibition Area from where I am staying.
After crossing the yellow bridge, Sango Bridge, over the Kitakami River, you will reach the Kitakami Exhibition Area.

The roadside lined with cherry blossom trees was fresh green, and the air was refreshing.
The Kitakami Tenshochi was filled with fresh greenery and a colorful appearance.

Enjoy a panoramic view of Kitakami City from the nearby Otokoyama Observation Deck
After driving for a while, turn left and go up the hill to reach Otokoyama.

If you climb the steep stairs, there is an observation deck.
You can see the Kitakami River and the Shinkansen iron bridge. You may also be able to see it from the Shinkansen.
I had a panoramic view of Kitakami Station.
I have some time, so I would like to take a photo of the Shinkansen.

桜は秋田で見ることができ岩手では内陸と沿岸の見事な景観に圧倒されました。
総走行距離1,591kmの最高なツーリング旅が出来ました。
岩手県内の移動は内陸と沿岸へ道路網の開通により容易にでき再び訪れたいと思いました。
