1514 [Camp] [4K] 1 million m2 theme park! Introduction to The Hirosawa City, Chikusei City, Ibaraki Prefecture
I’m heading to my first campsite.
The location is Chikusei City, Ibaraki Prefecture.
The name is The Hirosawa City.
■Basic information about the campsite
This is a 1 million m2 theme park at the foot of Mt. Tsukuba.
The main theme is "Nature, Health, and Culture."
You can camp inside The Hirosawa City.
Overnight stays and day camps are available.
The cost is 2,750 yen per night for up to 5 people.
Use of the shower room costs 165 yen once.
Only permanent tents are allowed.
The photo shows a snowpeak tent.
You can make a bonfire using a bonfire stand and a fireproof sheet.
However, open fires are prohibited.
I made a reservation over the phone.
There is a private parking lot in front of the campsite.
The reception is at the central information center near the campsite.
This time I booked a day camp.
When I checked the time, it was 9:00-16:00.
You can confirm this when making a reservation by phone.
In addition to the campground, there are lodges and dome houses.
You can also enjoy sleeping in your car.
There are toilets and washing areas.
Power is available as an option for sleeping in the car.
There seems to be a dog run as well.
You will also need to make a reservation by phone.
There are many facilities other than accommodation.
Check the website for details.
■ Head to the campsite
It’s near the campsite.
I think I entered Hirosawa City.
This whole area is a theme park.
I arrived at the parking lot I confirmed on the phone.
Park in an open area.
We arrived at the campsite parking lot.
■Receive at the central information center
Get out of the car.
Head to the central information center.
Information about golf courses and gas stations.
There is a parking lot on the left.
There are similar buildings side by side.
It looked close on the map, but I couldn’t find it.
There was a toilet along the way.
I have a map so I’ll check it out.
It’s in the middle of the row of buildings.
There was a vending machine next door.
I saw the sign for the central information center.
I will accept it here.
Only cash is accepted.
There is a large toilet next door.
There was also a paid shower room.
Walk to the campsite.
There is a park golf course on the other side of the fence.
I was told at the reception that this is the parking lot.
I gave confirmation over the phone.
I was told that the first place I parked was fine.
To check out, please call or go to reception.
This area is the P3 parking lot.
There seems to be a dog run as well.
Information about camping and barbecue.
The landmark clock tower is near the corner.
It’s a long walk, so it’s best to take a car to the reception.
On the other side is an off-road course.
I went back to the car.
■ Head to the campsite
There is a toilet next door.
The multi-purpose restroom is clean.
Water came out from the tap.
It looks like you can go through the door to the campsite.
Enter the dog run reception.
People were absent and just left.
Turn around and go up the hill.
There is a barbecue area next door.
A permanent tent came into view.
There are separate toilets for men and women here.
There is a shower room next door.
Please inform reception before using.
There is only one tent.
It is fixed to concrete pilings.
Let’s go around to the other side.
The manufacturer is snowpeak.
The door will open on this side as well.
Looking at the shape, I think the right side is the front.
There are benches installed nearby.
Next door is a park golf course.
Inside the fence is a dog run for large dogs.
On the other side of the wall is the dome house.
I went back to the car.
Prepare your luggage.
I’ll be walking about 20m, so I’ll keep it to a minimum.
Firewood etc. will be sent back and forth multiple times.
I grab my bag and return to the site.
You can see the kitchen in front.
■Check permanent tents
There are signs of another tent.
I put my luggage down and checked the tent.
You cannot bring your own, and we will use the permanent ones.
Open the tent door.
It has a mesh inside.
Open the door and mesh on the other side as well.
If you have a pole, you can put up a canopy.
Let’s raise the door for now.
It has a double wall structure.
Open the zipper of the inner tent.
There was a mat inside.
The ground is concrete so that helps.
Take off your shoes and enter the tent.
You can stand inside the tent.
It seems like it can sleep 4-5 adults.
There are many doors and windows around.
The ceiling can also be opened.
Let’s open the front part.
Unzip the flysheet.
You can enter and exit directly from here.
I will also open the triangular window.
Air can be taken in.
I’ll try opening the back door.
Open the flysheet further.
Both have mesh.
It has a structure that allows you to enter and exit from the back.
There was also the remains of another tent.
The door can be rolled and fixed.
It’s cool when everything is made of mesh.
You will be sleeping alone in a tent designed for large groups.
You can use it luxuriously.
■Prepare the front of the tent
I was wandering around for a while.
I’m about to go outside.
The color has faded because it has been left out.
It is facing towards the person having a barbecue.
It seems to be usable if you flip up the back side.
It’s more calming on this side.
I will bring poles etc. from the car.
I came back with a set.
Prepare the tent area.
I set up the canopy and prepared the surrounding area.
This is sufficient for solo.
The rope was fixed to a metal fixture on the ground.
A carabiner is attached to the loop.
I used the part where the rope is facing diagonally.
The carabiner is facing down, so it’s upside down.
I put a mat in front of the tent.
Since it’s concrete, I think a chair would be a good idea.
I made it compact to keep it to a minimum.
It protects you from some rain and sunlight.
I placed a bonfire stand on top of the fireproof sheet.
Required for campsite designation.
I prepared a fire extinguishing bag to put the ashes in.
Tables and bonfire supplies are lined up.
I brought firewood with me in a basket.
My luggage is stored inside the tent.
This is the view from the front.
This is the view from diagonally in front.
This is the view from the side.
This is the view diagonally from behind.
This is the view from directly behind.
There were pine cones falling on the site.
■Check the equipment
Check the equipment details.
This is the inside of the shower room.
The area around the shower is also clean.
It even has air conditioning.
The scent of wood is pleasant.
There is a men’s restroom in the center.
It also has a clean flush toilet.
Next, check the kitchen.
It is shared with the barbecue area.
Not only water but also hot water was provided.
It feels like it’s all in place.
There is a rest area next to the barbecue area.
There is another bench in front of the tent.
I’ll sit on the bench.
There was a dog run on this side.
I was concerned about the durability of the bench.
They are divided into medium-sized dogs and small dogs.
These are the facilities around the site.
■Brew tea with a gas burner
Sit on the mat behind the tent.
Prepare the gas burner.
Open the case and assemble the burner.
Prepare and connect the gas can.
Prepare the mug.
Boil water and make tea.
I’ll use a small cup for now.
Pour water from the canteen bottle.
If this continues, the cup will fall.
Place the titanium net on the trivet.
Place the cup on top.
Light the gas burner.
Relax and wait for the water to boil.
This side is quiet and calm.
I’m curious about the clouds in the sky.
The water is boiling.
Turn off the burner.
Put on leather gloves and lower the cup.
This is Nitto Black Tea’s La France Tea.
Open the package and take out the contents.
The scent of black tea spreads.
Place the tea bag into the cup.
Wait for the tea to be served.
Remove the tea bag.
I’ll have some tea.
Enjoy the elegant taste.
It is surrounded by trees.
■Summary
This is a summary of campgrounds.
I parked my car in the parking lot.
I walked to the central information center.
Located in Hirosawa City.
There is only one tent, so you can spend your time calmly.
You can also enjoy a bonfire by laying down a fireproof sheet.
You can use snowpeak’s permanent tent.
It will continue to the next.
