Hello everyone, this is Shioneru!
Here it is today
!
I would like to ride
the Utsunomiya Light Rail Light Line.
It ‘s 12:48
on a weekday today , and
I thought it would be less crowded than in the morning, but it
was surprisingly crowded.It opened
in August last year. The Haga/Utsunomiya LRT "Light Line"
connects Utsunomiya City in Tochigi Prefecture to Haga Town. The
travel time from Utsunomiya Station East Exit Station
to the final stop, Haga/Takanezawa Kogyodanchi Station, is
approximately 44 minutes by local train or
approximately 44 minutes by rapid train. It runs in 38 minutes.
When you get off at Utsunomiya Station,
there is an
easy-to-understand guide to the Light Line platform like this.
After leaving the east exit and following the guide,
there it was!
There is an escalator on the right
to the Light Line platform , but
there is an elevator just to the left of it,
making it perfect for barrier-free access.
There are already many people waiting to get on the platform.
The Light Line has arrived!
It feels like a futuristic city, which is quite exciting. In
front of Utsunomiya station, there is a large commercial facility where
you
can enjoy eating and shopping.
There was also a park space, and
there was a large park space like Miyashita Park, so
I felt that this was a place for everyone to relax. The
light line runs about every 10 minutes, so
the light line comes and goes quite often. Masu
LRT (next generation streetcar system)
is an abbreviation for light rail transit, and
it has convenient and excellent features such
as collaboration with other means of transportation and
the use of easy-to-ride, low-floor vehicles.Easy
to use, improved tracks and stops It
‘s a next-generation transportation system.It
‘s the first new streetcar in 75 years! In the first place, it’s really amazing
that a streetcar can be built from scratch
in a place where there are no streetcars at all
.
And just one week ago,
on April 1st, the timetable was revised
, and a rapid train was born, which is rare for streetcars.
It’s not a railroad crossing. But
I’m going to cross.
I can
only walk in this orange zone,
right
?
The light line is about to depart, so
I
‘m going to watch it.There
‘s a sign that says, "Please do not enter the tracks."
The chain is so high that you can climb over it, so
it’s dangerous for children.I’m
already waiting for the next train . The platform is full
of people waiting.The
advanced design of
the yellow and black car body is very cool. The
symbol color of the light line is yellow
, which seems to be a motif of thunderbolts.Haga
and Utsunomiya There is a lot of thunder,
and it is called “Raito”.It
brings rain and grows rice.It gives various blessings
, such as making rain and growing rice. With
the motif of thunder,
it gives various blessings.
The train uses achromatic colors ranging from black to white
to make the yellow stand out, with the thunder motif as a motif.I’ve
come back to the top from the plaza. It
‘s time to get on the train. From now on,
there won’t be any steps, so much so that you won’t be able to tell where the line is between the platform and the track
. There are plans to extend it to the west side of JR Utsunomiya Station, so
I’m really looking forward to seeing what it will look like from here.I’m
already at the boarding station, and I
heard that there are one-day passes for the Light Line.
You can buy it for 1000 yen
Please be careful as it is cash only
I purchased it!
This is valid for one day only.If
you have this,
you can just hang it around your neck and
get on and off
without showing it to the driver. They
even gave me this guidebook. It was
very polite . A clerk?
I was very grateful that
the sales staff were there.The
queue lines are drawn
like this at the boarding area. That
‘s all,
the fact that the waiting lines are well drawn means that
there are quite a lot of people using it. That’s what I thought. And
there are really no steps
between the stop and the vehicle,
so even elderly people, people in wheelchairs,
and people pushing strollers
can get on and off smoothly. You can
also board
with an IC card and cash. However
, if you are paying in cash, you will not receive change, so you
will need to exchange money in advance. You
will need to exchange money in advance.
You can also exchange money on the train.
If you are paying in cash , do not forget to
take this numbered ticket and board
the bus. You can see all kinds of information!
You can get on and off from any door.
If you use an IC card,
touch the green part at the bottom
to get on, and touch the yellow part at the top to get off.
There are bulletin boards at the front and back of the train
that display destinations and prices.
I feel like I’m on a bus
and I’m finally leaving!
It was a very strange feeling
to be running parallel to the car
that was running slowly
between the building and the sidewalk.Even
when we arrived at the next station,
the platform
would suddenly appear ! I just arrived at the station! I’m a little surprised.
One of the characteristics of streetcars is
that they have time to stop at traffic lights
. If you don’t get caught at the traffic lights,
you’ll be surprised!
At Hiraishi Station, the driver
changed hands.The
light
line
runs on special rails that cars cannot enter
, so you can drive on time
without getting stuck in traffic. Features:
There is no vibration and the sound is really quiet.
It is a comfortable ride.
You can see that the light line has less vibration
from the fact that the hanging strap does not shake.
At first,
I was driving around town with a car, but
The scenery gradually changes to a greener one.
It’s a very fun ride.
You’ll also cross the Kinugawa River!
It’s a tram where you can be soothed by nature.I
rode it at noon, but
it was pretty crowded, so I couldn’t get a seat at first.I
tried sitting on a seat, but
it was a seat for four people. The width of the car is quite narrow, so
if all four people were to sit together, it would feel a bit tight.Yellow
has also been incorporated into the interior of the car.
Are the seats made of synthetic leather?
The part with the pattern in the middle
is
made of fluffy
fabric that you would normally find on a railway vehicle, but
the surrounding area is made of synthetic leather, giving it the impression of a car seat. Maybe that part
is an image of thunder?
Utsunomiya Light Rail/Haga/Utsunomiya LRT
The origin of the nickname “Light Line” is that it
takes “Raito”
from the total design concept
and combines it with “Line”, which represents a path or connection. It is
said to be a path of light to the future. It also contains a message.
At each station, the windows are very large
, and photos will tell you about the characteristics of that place.
The doors are also made of glass from bottom to top, so you can clearly see the train windows!
In front of this door
is a connected Wi-Fi area with priority seats that will make you want to dance
!
It’s good that it’s fully barrier-free.Priority
seats have different seat patterns, so it’s easy to understand.Unlike
other seats, there are no steps, so it’s easy to sit down, and
there are handrails between the seats. The
final destination is
Haga/Takanezawa. I’ve arrived at the industrial park.
I’m going to get on the train again
and get off at different stations this time.
It’s quite refreshing to see the car running
right next to the stop.
The straps are made of wood. The unusually rectangular shape
of the seat floor
is made of Oya Stone,
a stone mined in the area around Oya Town
in the northwestern part of Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture. The
large windows let in a lot of light, making the inside of the train very comfortable. It’s bright
and I can feel the shaking when I’m
standing, but I don’t feel it at all when I’m sitting.I
got off at Hagacho Industrial Park Management Center-mae station.I
wanted to see the train go up and down from the side,
not just board the train.
The hill I was looking for came into
view . I climbed this.
The running noise was so quiet that I didn’t notice it until the last moment when I was running from behind. It is
60‰ comparable to JNR’s most difficult point,
Usui Pass. It’s so cool to see him climbing up
the steep slope of the class …! A new train signal has been installed, and
there is a scene where two light lines are passing each other!
When getting on and off the Light Line, if
you pay with cash, you can
only get off from the front where the driver is.
It is also possible to pay for multiple people, and
in that case you will get off from the front. After
all, it is like a bus. I thought
there are different types of chime sounds, so please look for them!
Is Oya stone also used
in the waiting room with its distinctive appearance
? A transit center is installed on the Light Line
. A transit center is a transfer point where various means of transportation
such as LRT, buses, taxis, cars, and bicycles work together
. From the Light Line to cars and buses
from the Light Line to bicycles, etc.
You can transfer smoothly.
Also, the parking lot and bicycle parking lot are free of charge, so
it is very convenient for commuting to work, school, or going out.
There is Utsunomiya Light Rail Co., Ltd. and the depot here.
From the depot to the light rail A line has appeared!
There are also Light Line members with a strong presence behind them.Only
those who have purchased a train depot commuter pass can enter the company.Get off
at Hiraishi Station and
go to Haga/Utsunomiya Light Rail Co., Ltd.I
came to the company, or rather,
I came to see
the train depot. I couldn’t go in because of the weather
, but
I could see many places where the Light Line was stopped.I
started enjoying the Light Line around 12:00, and
now it’s 4:00 PM.I
bought a one-day ticket, so
I got on and off quite a lot. After going
one station, I wanted to come back and do the things I wanted to do.After
enjoying the fresh scenery,
I would like to return to Utsunomiya Station East Exit Station.Thank
you for watching until the end today! If you like it,
please give it a high rating and subscribe to the channel

In Tochigi Prefecture, Tobu Railway operated Nikko trams and other trains, which were abolished and revived 55 years later.
If you move it back about 8 inches(200mm) and change it to a 3-person capacity, you can increase the capacity to 12 people per formation.
Depending on the reconstruction of Utsunomiya Tobu Dept. Store, Lightline will become easier to reach General Sports Park(Nishi-Kawada).
Lightline will continue to evolve and become a model not only for Japan but also for the world!
