Pakistan 40% dangerous?!, wtf man! I don’t understand what’s going on with Escort protocol. I’m out of Balochistan and still with Police escort and trying hard to get rid of them but they are well connected and won’t let go. It kind of ruins the whole experience for me but the cherry on top is the unexpected BOMB SQUAD searching my hotel…this is insane! Come on Pakistan, for real? And who is paying for that?

My little brother and his wife have been living and teaching English in Islamabad for several years. He travel around northern Pakistan because he’s always looking for new places for sport climbing. In some areas the police insisted on accompanying him, especially in parts of Waziristan. I was always afraid for him, while I was just across the border at a small military base in Afghanistan. Somehow he’s always been ok. He seems to always be able to talk his way out of bad situations. I don’t think Pakistan is as dangerous as it seems but yes there are moments when it can suddenly become extremely dangerous.
Sorry for that but if you enter from that's side of country they give them security after reaching to the main city then you will good to go

Police was very friendly, they were not harassing , they seem polite , i can understand how uneasy this can be, but police must have its own lessons learned to implement this measure.

Police are supposed to escort tourist in certain part of the country so they are just doing their job. Yes people are friendly but you must not forget many terrorist organisations operate in this region.

Brother sad to hear that you was feeling trouble travel to Pakistan, it's a long story that why they ascort foreigner all the way and accommodation, that all was for your own safety, ya travel, freedom, everything but precautionary measure make things easier like if your bike charger without safety plug is more risky ya right, when a person secure a other on a Cliff hiking with safety gears, I don't think that is bad thing even if he don't. As a Pakistani, I'm so sorry that you had to go through this police harassment Marc, we are ashamed that some of us treat our guests in such a pathetic way, you must understand that Pakistan currently is under Dictatorship (a madman who wants to control every living being inside this country). I'm sure if you had visited Pakistan before March 2022, things would have been very different and you would have loved the experience. Because in this current situation, only a few sick minded people ruined your whole experience. Generally Pakistanis are very welcoming and will always treat you with lots of love and respect. It's just a few sick minded people who have taken over this beautiful country of 240+ million people, those few have ruined everything for you and ashamed us too.
