絶景！絶品！横浜戸塚柏尾川
横浜市の戸塚区を流れる柏尾川。
JR・地下鉄戸塚駅西口より直ぐ約11キロ
続く柏尾川プロムナードがあります。
柏尾川プロムナードでは、例年3月下旬～
4月上旬にかけて、ソメイヨシノなど約350
本の桜が見頃を迎えます。
桜の開花に合わせ、桜祭り時期の河川敷には「屋台」がたくさん出店します。
お祭りに「屋台」がでる理由は、
神様も人が集まる賑やかな場所が大好き
なので、お祭りの場にたくさんの食べ物店
や遊べる場所があると、より多くの人が集
まることからと言われています。
最近では日本ならではのムードとグルメが
楽しめるとあって、外国人からも人気を集
めています。
春風にそよぐ河川敷の桜は、自然の中で優雅に舞う花びらが、訪れる人々の心を魅了します。
それでは実際にＪＲ戸塚駅西口から散策してみましょう！
「戸塚」は旧東海道五十三次の日本橋から数えて５番目の宿で日本橋からは約４２kmです。
戸塚区は横浜市で一番広い区であり、人口は約28万人で18区中4位。
柏尾川は約11kmの二級河川です。
流域面積は約84ｋ㎥、横浜市内では
２番目の大きさです。
戸塚区は、この柏尾川の桜並木に代表される「桜」を区の花に指定しました。
柏尾川は、散歩、ウォーキングやランニング、サイクリング、バーベキューなど普段から生活道としても利用されています。
戸塚区役所前の交差点を線路沿いに歩くと、
柏尾川の「朝日橋」が見えてきます。
桜が満開の頃には河川敷でお花見を楽しむ人々でにぎわいます。
２０２４年は、約２０店舗の屋台が楽しめました。
【お面】
お面で顔を覆うことで、神様など人間以外のものに成り変わることができるため、神様を迎え、もてなす祭りには欠かせないものとなった。
