Hakoishi Pass Observatory Ichinomiya Town, Aso City Description of Hakoishi Pass Observatory. Many observation points for viewing Mt. Aso, including Daikanbo, are concentrated on the northern somma. Today I’d like to introduce you to the Hakoishi Pass Observatory, which is located at the eastern end and offers a unique view.

I previously explained that Mt. Aso is not a single mountain, but a collective term for five mountains (Aso Gotake). It may be said that this is a rare observation point where you can view the Gotake Mountains from the eastern end. National Route 265 runs from Aso City to Takamori Town, Aso District.

This course is popular for driving, touring, cycling, etc. as it offers views of beautiful grasslands and mountains. The Hakoishi Pass Observatory is located on a hill off this route near Hakoishi Pass.

However, although it is called an observatory, there are no facilities, and you can only park one or two cars on the side of the road.

From the observatory, the five peaks of Aso appear to be lined up in a vertical line, with the impressive Mt. Neko in front of you, followed by Mt. Takadake. This is my second time shooting this video.

Last time we took aerial photos of the beautiful green season, but this time we will take you to the late autumn season when the pampas grass is waving. Today I’m at the Hakoishi Pass Observatory in Sakanashi, Ichinomiya Town, Aso City.

This is an observation point where you can see the five mountains of Aso in a vertical line. This is a spot where you can enjoy the impressive views of Mt. Neko right in front of your eyes. So please enjoy. Mt.Taka / Mt.Naka / Mt.Eboshi / Mt.Kishima Mt.Neko
