3人の命が奪われました 🇨🇴南米バイク旅[S5-E6]

Good morning, people. It’s 11:40 in the morning and we are about to go to a very exciting place. Can you guys see that waterfall over there in that mountain? Starting at the cave over there? We’re about to ride our motorcycles all the way to the top.

Apparently it’s a very short walk from where we park the bikes. You go to the inside of the cave and probably, if we’re lucky, we’ll be able to fly our drone from the top. This morning, we decided to sleep until like eight in the morning.

It rained all night long, even until late this morning. Like until nine in the morning. So we decided, okay, no let’s just stay in. And now we’re about to take our motorbikes up this hill. And if you guys remember from our last video, the road is in really bad condition.

It’s going to be muddy, especially with that rain from last night. So we’ll see, we’ll see how it goes. Can you guys see that? There’s a peacock. Wow. Peacocks roam around freely in this town. This is my first time seeing one in person. Oh. I need to… Okay. Hold on.

This is the thing, I cannot… We knew the road was going to be muddy, so we decided to wear our rain gear. Well, just the pants. To avoid getting dirty our pants. Okay, let’s go. You know, when you go to a party, to a diner, and then you feel overdressed for the occasion?

Well, that’s how I feel here in Colombia, riding this motorbike, because you constantly see all of the locals wearing just regular clothes. They have super clean shoes. Regardless of how muddy the road is, I really don’t know how they do it. And then you look at the two of us

And we are like overly dressed. Like we got protection from head to toes, you know. The locals don’t even wear a helmet. And we have all of this gear on us. And you feel overdressed. But when you see the locals, they never fall. I don’t know how they do it. They never fall.

And I’ve already fallen twice. So we definitely need the protection. But that’s just something funny. That’s how I feel. Not so bad the road yet. This waterfall here is still pretty small, regardless of the rain. The plan for today, as I mentioned before, is to drive all the way to the cave,

To the starting point of that waterfall, which is only about 15 minutes away from here. It’s a very short walk from the place we park the bikes. And then… But before that, we’re going to stop at the town of Florian for lunch. Because I think it’s already Ooh. It’s already about midday

And we’re going to find a place to have lunch and maybe clean the motorbikes a little bit from last night. They are really, really, really muddy. And we need to find a place to buy chain lube for both the bikes. In the afternoon, if we have time, we might go walking

All the way to like the base of the waterfall. I don’t know if there’s, like kind of a pool where we can swim or something, but I would like to walk down there. Good morning. It’s about two kilometers away from our hotel room. So if we have time, we might do it.

But today it’s more like a chill day. Hello. There’s a bike shop here. I’ll ask if they have chain lube. Oh, this is such a cool stand. Look at that. Hello. Do you guys have chain lube for sell? You guys have the spray version? No. You just apply oil. Okay. Wait a second.

Where did Kaito go? Wait a second. I’ll be back. Hey, buddy, I’m sorry. Got to go through. Got to ask someone about a place to have lunch here. There’s people drinking beer already. Where should we have lunch? I’m going to ask these two. Hello.

Do you know where we could have lunch around here? There’s a restaurant down there. That one there? Yes. Okay, thank you. We’ve got chicken, potatoes and salad for today’s lunch. A very small salad. Again! This is huge! Healthy? Probably not. But it’ll definitely fill me up. Bon appétit.

Apparently there is a viewpoint to see the waterfall from afar. So we’re going to go there first. It’s literally 2 minutes away from here. And after that we’re going to go into the cave. We might not be able to see the waterfall, though. There is a lot of fog.

Ah, no. Yes, we can see it! Right over there. I see the cave. This is the view point. Yeah. There’s a lot of bikes here. Florian. Because of these “guadua”, we cannot even see the waterfall. It is supposed to be right there. Crazy guys. No, they’re so cool.

Right over there, you guys. There’s not a lot of water, but it’s still very beautiful. Wow. Amazing! Really, really beautiful. Gosh, man! It’s like we’re suddenly in a different world. I swear. There was a sign. It was written “Beware of falling rocks”, but I mean, how can you be aware of that? Wow.

Whoa! It’s a cliff. Really. Gosh, I don’t want to get close to the right. What is this? Virgin Mary. Virgin Mary in rocks. Okay. Oh, it’s muddy. I think we can park right over there where you see that sign with the horse. Yeah, we can park there. We park here,

And we walk the rest of the way. Okay. We don’t know exactly where the entrance is. Maybe it’s over there, or maybe we have to walk this way. Which way? That way. Okay. This way, Boo. Really? Yeah. The wall is actually pretty thin. It could come down any minute.

It rained, so it’s super slippery. “Proceed at your own risk”. Right over there. It’s really slippery. We’ve made it to a wooden bridge. I guess it looks solid enough to go across. I think we need to go one by one here. You want to go first? Okay. Ladies first. Yeah.

You don’t usually hear that from Kaito. Here I go. The wood could be rotten. Woo. Oh, la la la. Wow. But it’s really beautiful over here. Made it. It moves. It moves! What a beautiful spot! What an incredible spot. Quite mysterious. I nearly fell. There’s a huge Godzilla. Hold on.

I need a second. Wait a second. What did you say? There’s a huge Godzilla. They brought Godzilla. Why? Is this the cave, Boo? Let’s go check out Godzilla first. No, first the cave. It’s right over there. Really? Yeah. Okay. I can’t describe how slippery this is. Wait a second.

If you slip here, you’re done. You’ll be swept away. This place is really out of a Jurassic Park movie. Whoa. Already, right? The wind. It’s chilly. I think I get why that Godzilla is here. This limestone cave with icicles totally reminds me of the place where Godzilla was born,

Just like I saw in the movie as a kid. Comment below if I’ve got it wrong. I was talking to the guy that’s in charge of the hotel we’re staying at. And he told me three people have died because they’ve fallen off this waterfall. He told me two of them tried to jump,

Not really at the limit, like at the border of the waterfall, of the cave, I mean, but they tried to jump, like from one side of the cave to the other, thinking the terrain was going to be stable. But it’s not. It’s actually very slimy. The rocks are very slimy. So they slipped.

And there’s nothing, I mean, you cannot stop yourself from there because the water will push you out. And they fell. And the other person, apparently, he was, he or she I don’t know, someone was pretty drunk and that person came here and they fell off the cliff. And I mean, he’s gone now.

That’s pretty, pretty shocking. So we got to be careful in this place. This is nuts. Wow. There’s someone there. Perhaps both at the same time isn’t the best plan. One at a time is safer. It’s really slippery here. Wow, you guys, this is magical. This is out of this world.

Like, I mean, this cave is huge. I wasn’t expecting it to be this big. There’s so much light coming in and can’t believe we’re here in the middle of the mountain. This morning, we were looking at this cave at the waterfall from our hotel room, and right now we are here. Pretty unbelievable.

Hello. Wow. In Japan, this would be a spot where people pay homage to the gods. There’s a unique vibe in this place. Incredible. Is that the cave edge? From there, right? The view is amazing. Oh, no. How tall is this waterfall? 332 meters tall, yeah. Oh, no. What does it say here?

“No pase”. It says “Do not go any further. It’s slippery”. Oh, no. So actually this waterfall, is 332 meters high. It’s basically divided into three waterfalls. And the first one is 86 meters, the second one is 110 and the third one is 126. Unbelievable.

So, they jumped from here to there and ended up falling? Maybe. Or maybe somewhere there. And, you know, right now there’s not a lot of water but there are days in which the water is like really the flow of the water is much bigger.

I bet they built this wall to keep people from falling into the water if they slip. We’re going back to town and I just got a message from the guy at the hotel telling me if we wanted to leave the bikes at this town right here

And they would pick us up by car, I guess, because the road is really, really slippery because of the rain we just had while having lunch. I told him that we really appreciated his help, but we’re going to try to do the road

Because tomorrow morning we’re going to keep going down from the hotel, so we don’t want to come back up to the town and it might rain at night as well. So either we face it today or we face it tomorrow, but yeah. Hello. Do you guys take cards? No, just cash. Just cash.

Could you fill both bikes with regular, please? Thank you. You’re raffling it? Yeah, it follows the Santander lottery. How old’s the calf? Almost 8 months. It’s very cute. Female or male? No idea? It’s perfect for Christmas. I can take it wherever you want, or you could go with the 1.5 million instead.

Yeah? Okay. Have a nice day. Bye. It’s raining, but the sun is out. The lights just went off. It has happened… And they’re back. It goes like this. In these small towns in Colombia, whenever it starts raining, the lights, the power goes off. Really. It’s normal. I can’t believe it. Pretty interesting.

I’m worried about the road. I’m okay. Thank you. It’s good when it’s cold. We still have a bit of a drive left. It’ll warm you up. Thank you, sir. With all respect. We’re okay. Thank you, sir. I have a problem with alcohol. He can’t drink. I’m okay. Thank you.

We still have a bit of a drive left. Just one shot won’t hurt. Have it for me. What’s your name? Oriana. Oriana. Oriana, have a shot. I’ve still got some driving to do. Okay. Thank you. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Same to you. Have a nice day. Okay.

I should wait here. Honeslty. What is wrong? I can’t keep the bike straight on the mud. Shit. Oh shoot. The front tire goes right, the back tire goes to the left. Go through the ditch. I didn’t get that. I’m trying to avoid the center of this road because it is super slippery,

But there’s a huge pothole ahead. Should I go for it? The issue is getting out of here. What should I do? I can’t touch the ground. I can’t touch the ground. This stresses me out. It smells burned. Can you drive, and I’ll ride with you? Let’s do it. We can go slow.

Should I walk until the pavement starts? Yeah. Or I can help you. Okay. Let’s see how I manage this. I’ll pull it out of the ditch, and then he’ll drive. The thing is, I can’t touch the ground with this motorbike. You should kill the engine and shift into first gear,

So only the back tire slides. Should I kill the engine? Put it in first gear and leave this like that. You won’t slip as much, and you can manage the speed with your clutch. Okay. Try it out. That’s it. Work your clutch and brake to control your speed. Okay.

If you go down with the bike running, you’ll fall. It’s going to skid here. If you continue like that, you won’t slip. Focus, work that clutch and keep going. Okay. I lost my footing. I’ll give you a hand. Tap the rear brake gently. That’s it. The worst is over. Okay. Thank you.

You’re not far from the cabins. Yeah. I’ll be up ahead if you need any help. Thank you very much. You’re very kind. Wow. Look at that rainbow. Beautiful. I’m just going to follow the locals, and get in this hole here. It’s still slippery in here. You okay, Boo?

Wow. Look at the cave, Boo! Wow. I need to focus. Focus on the road. Focus on the road. Man. Are we there yet? Nice little break, this paved road. Wow. There’s a lot of water down there. Oh. Okay, I did it. Kaito, you’ve got it! Woho!

I’m going to go really slow on this slope. It doesn’t look as slippery as it was before, but you never know. I’m 200% focused. Oh, we’re here Boo! We made it. Hi! We made it! We’ll drop off some stuff and we’ll be right back. Thank you. Oh, we freaking made it!

Man! That was only like… If you look at Google Maps, it’s only 7 minutes, but I think it took us about three times that. Amazing! Who would’ve thought a 15 minute trail would end up like this? Look at the mud here. Look at this. The bikes are looking good now.

Check out how clean they are! If it rains, it’ll be awful. If it doesn’t rain, we’ll take this road, but if it does, we’re definitely taking the other one.

  10. Gorija has a relative in Colombia, how come we didn't know about this? The Colombian godzilla 'looks' to be smaller and quite docile, maybe nothing has triggered it?
I am impressed with helpful and friendly Colombians in the rural areas that you have gone through. My image of Colombia had been a country beset by civil war for many years; it is good that armed conflicts have largely stopped and the country is mostly peaceful and stable, helping economic development!

  14. Yes Ori and Kaito…just LOVE your whole story and your amazing videos ❤️❤️❤️❤️It reassured me that my son Bernard WAS really doing an amazing trip. Keep up the good work!!!! You are both sooooo amazing!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
