【ミリ飯!】陸上自衛隊 非公開の炊事訓練の一日に密着!

The Ground Self-Defense Force Amami Garrison is the front line of defense for the Southern Islands, and approximately 420 members are permanently stationed there. It consists of a surface-to-ship guided missile operation unit and an electronic warfare unit. Amami Garrison is a relatively new garrison, so there is a shooting range with new equipment.

今回撮影をお願いしたのは奄美大島にある陸上自衛隊 奄美駐屯地です。
普段は一般公開されていない、災害時を想定した炊事訓練競技会および、持続走競技会を特別に撮影させていただきました。
この日は3つの班に分かれて、それぞれが同じ材料で工夫を凝らして指定の料理(この日はカレー、豚汁、サラダ)を作り、最後に試食会が行われる競技会です。
ただでさえ大量に作ることは難しい上に、美味しいことはもちろん、煮沸など徹底した食中毒対策、お年寄りから子供までいろいろな人が食べることを想定して作る料理は様々な工夫がされていました。
ちなみに実際の災害時では、隊員の方々はこの温かい食事は食べられず、派遣先の市民へ配布され、隊員は派遣先ではほとんどが冷たいままの戦闘糧食などを食べられるとのことです。
皆さん、調理しながらも「それだと具がのどに詰まるかもしれない」「これだと小さい子供も好きな味」など、食べる相手の事をいろいろ考え、ひたむきに作ってる姿が印象的でした。

    아프리카. 동유럽 국가에서 용병을 모집하여 전쟁 대신 시킬거 같은 느낌이다.

  5. Thanks for sharing. Extremely high standard of field cooking by the JGSDF. On Cold War exervices in Germany during the 80s and 90s with BAOR, the standard fare for UK Infantry Companies was a sausage between two slices of bread served up by the Company Colour Sergeant or 'Range Stew' with just about everythig thrown in and heated up over an open burner. Compared to our lot and these Japanes Chaps, its the difference between a greasy spoon Cafe and the Ritz Hotel.
