The magnitude of the tremors was 6.5 points, and up to 110 aftershocks with a strength from  M2 to M6.5 were also recorded. This earthquake caused damage  to a number of cities in East Java. The total damage was 51 houses with   light damage, 13 houses with moderate  damage, 5 houses with severe damage. 

Not only this, this earthquake also caused damage  to 2 schools, 4 hospitals, 1 Islamic boarding   school, 5 village offices, 3 places of worship, 2 cattle pens, 1 building and 2 motorcycles.
