伊江島を自転車で一周🚴🏻‍♀️ | 沖縄vlog

Hello. Hello. Good morning! This is day 3. And it’s finally sunny! So beautiful! It was going to be raining for the entire trip, but it’s sunny today! I’m so excited. Without further ado, let’s get going! We’ve come to Michi no Eki Kyoda. I’m driving today too. It’s getting cloudier unfortunately.

But as long as it won’t rain, we’ll be okay. And we just bought Sata andagi. This is the brown sugar one. I love these. These are freshly cooked, so they’re still warm. I’ll take a break from driving eating these sweets. I also got gelato from Oppa Nyugyo. Yay. Itadakimasu. I love this. Awesome.

It was getting a bit chilly so we got back in the car. Btw this Sata andagi thing is basically Okinawan doughnuts. It looks like this. It’s deep fried. Itadakimasu. This is the brown sugar version. It’s crunch on the outside, but really soft on the inside. I love this. I love Sata andagi.

I love Okinawan food in general. The mascot for Oppa Nyugyo is this cow, “Moo-moo chan”. Actually, I’m not sure if her name is Moo-moo chan. I just made that up. Isn’t she cute? Moo-moo chan? I don’t know her actual name, but yeah. Moo-moo chan. Give them a try if you’re ever in Okinawa.

Okay, let’s get moving. We drove down south and came to Yomitan village. We’re in this fishing port now. It’s cloudy, but still beautiful. Isn’t it? There’s a restaurant called “Uminchu Shokudo”. We’re going to have Ikasumi(squid ink) soup there. I love their Ikasumi soup. So yeah, I’ll have that for lunch today.

I really hope it gets sunny again. This area is gorgeous when it’s sunny, so I’d like to show you. Anyway, let’s go get lucnh. Ikasumi soup. Itadakimasu. It’s black so you can’t really see, but there’s a lot of squid inside. I put on this apron, so I don’t get ink on my clothes.

My sister says I look like a toddler like this. My mom did my hair like this this morning. Apparently, I look like a toddler like this. Isakumi soup, gochisousamadeshita. It was delicious. I might need to censor my mouth. I’ll go wash my mouth to get the ink off. It was delicious.

After lunch, we’ve been driving and come to “Southeast Botanical Garden”. I already got the ticket. This is the ticket here. I got this sticker for Pokémon Air Adventures. You see Pokémon in many places here. Anyway, let’s go! I’m excited. I’ve never been to this place before. So I’ve been looking forward to it.

They have beautiful flowers, as well as cool illuminations at night which I can’t wait to see. They’re having this event called “Bougain-fair”, and have this bougainvillea tower. So cute. I want to share one interesting fact I learnt today about bougainvillea. See these tiny white flowers in the middle?

Those are the actual flowers, and the pink “petals” are what’s called “bract”. There’s apparently a zoo section, so let’s go see cute animals. I found a capybara. Hello. Maybe it’s sleepy. Hello. Sorry. You don’t want me here. I’ll go. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. No response. Hello. Guinea pig. Hello.

Your face is so red. I found this weird plant. It looks really fluffy up close. The fruits. The fluffy bit. Apparently, this is a plant from Bolivia called “red powder puff”. [Staff] He’s going to sing a song for us. Guess what song it is. [Staff] Are you ready? [Staff] Sing for us!

[Staff] Alright. What song do you think it was? [Yuka] What song is it? I just saw a bird show, and heard the staff explain the plants they have. Yeah, so this “bract” is apparently a modified leaf.

And they have up to 3 flowers at a time, but it’s quite rare to see one with all 3 blooming. I guess I’m lucky. I got to see a few. Right now, I’m heading to the section with palm trees. This it it. Lots of palm trees. Feels really tropical. Looks so tropical.

Palm trees Awesome! All these are palm trees. There are so many. I hope a coconut won’t fall on my head. I saw them selling a coconut for 2,000 yen (13.50USD). That’s a really expensive coconut. I think I’ve head somewhere that chance of you getting hit by a falling coconut is surprisingly high.

Btw the bird show was really interesting with parrots flying around and singing. The parrot was singing a song called “Hato Poppo”. It was so cute. I think I should go back. I’m back and the illuminations have started. But it’s not quite dark enough yet for that. These are lotus shaped.

I think it’ll be more beautiful when it’s darker. There were so many people before, but now I’m the only one here. I’m lucky. Yay. Good morning! This is day 4. I did get some footages of the illuminations but I couldn’t really vlog as the music was really loud.

The illuminations were gorgeous. It had the tropical feel to it. My personal favourite is the bougainvillea tunnel. It was all pink and really pretty. But the main part was the lotuses, which were also very beautiful. The projection mapping was really amazing too. I really enjoyed the show.

And today, since it won’t rain today, we’re going to an island called Iejima. So right now, I’m in Motobu port. The ship is leaving in about 10 minutes, so I need to go buy tickets. Motobu port. It doesn’t look like a port here. Anyway, I’ll go get a ticket. Alright, let’s go!

I got the ticket. We’re going on this cruise ship called “Gusuku” to Iejima. Let’s go on the ship. It’s a pretty big ship. Let’s go. I’m on the ship now. This ship is surprisingly big. That ship there is quite big too.

I’ve never been to Iejima before, and I assumed it would be a smaller ship. There was like a garage underneath. You can also take your car with you on the ship to Iejima. So it’s really big. Another unexpected thing is that they even had a little shop inside the ship.

I hope ship this size won’t rock that hard. I’m a bit traumatized from going through the Drake Passage in my Antarctica cruise. But it’ll be a short cruise, about 30 minutes. So I think it won’t be that bad. I arrived in Iejima. The announcement said “Ietou”, the ship there says “Ieshima” on it.

So I’m not entirely sure about the name of this island, but I’ll say Iejima for now. But anyway, I made it without getting seasick. Now we can rent either a car or bicycles. We need to decide which route to take.

The island is pretty small, and you can go around it in a day on a bike. Let me think. We picked the bicycles. We’ll first head to the mountain. This bike is not electric, so it’ll be tough. All the cows are going “moo”. Butterfly.

We went to the wrong direction, so we’ll go to the cliff first instead. The mountain is right behind me. You can’t see it. It’s a nice day today. It’s a bit too hot when the sun is out though. But good thing it’s not raining. The tire got stuck because of the mud.

My family’s gone way ahead too. How am I supposed to get this out? I’ll keep trying. I managed to get the mud out, and made it to the cliff. I thought I could go this way, but apparently not. It’s a dead end. Let’s go see the ocean.

I panicked when that happened, but I’ve somehow managed to get the mud out. This place is called “Waji”, and there used to be a spring here apparently. Look, cliff. Wow, amazing. Can you see? Cliff. Ocean. Amazing. It’s getting pretty cloudy. That was very nice.

It is a bit unfortunate that it got cloudy at the end, but it was still beautiful. Now, I’m heading to the mountain that we were going to go first. I’m going uphill. I can’t. I don’t have enough stamina. Ah, is this the entrance? Yes. I’ll go park my bike.

Let’s climb Mt. Gusuku. The stairs were quite steep, but I made it to the top. The view is amazing. You can see the city. You can see the ocean. I feel on top of the world. After the hike, we’ve come to the beach.

I got a ticket for 100 yen(0.68USD), so we can enter the beach. Looks beautiful. It was sunny for a little while, but got cloudy again now. I hope it gets sunny again. Made it to the beach, and it’s getting sunny! I’m so happy. The weather seems to be quite changeable today. Beautiful.

That side looks sunnier. Cool. The sun’s out again! Nice. I’m so glad it’s not raining today. Really bright. I love it here. I wonder if it looks as nice through the camera. I went around the island and am back at the port. Now, we’ll head back to Motobu port on the main island.

It got sunny at the end and it was beautiful. The view is much nicer when it’s sunny. Anyway, let’s go back to the main island. Good morning. This is day 5. So yesterday, after we got back to the main island, we stayed in Motobu.

The dinner was delicious, so I’m full of energy today. You can see Iejima there too. The weather is not so bad today either. Now, we’ve come to a place called Fukugi Namiki. It’s like a forest here. Let’s go check it out. I’m inside Fukugi Namiki. There are thousands of trees here.

You can hear the birds chirping too. It’s so nice here. There were a lot of Shisa-looking thing made from rocks. I get a feeling that it is quite a spiritual place here. So many trees. Such a nice trail. I came back out of Fukugi Namiki, and it’s even sunnier than before. So beautiful.

I’m so glad that it got sunny on the last day. I went closer earlier. The sunlight reflecting on the water there was so beautiful. And it’s very hot today. Like super hot. But it’s so nice. I’m really happy. It was raining or cloudy for the most of the trip, but it’s finally sunny.

I’ll appreciate the view a bit more, and then get back in the car. So beautiful. I’m in Naha airport. The 5 day trip is ending. On the way to the airport, it started raining really heavy all of sudden. That was kind of fun. I had an amazing 5-day trip.

I couldn’t vlog as much as I would’ve liked since this is a family trip. But I’ll come back to Okinawa someday by myself and vlog. Thank you so much for watching until the end. I’ll see you in the next video!

  2. Yuka chan could you please add I warning at the end of your video that you won't contact people through char clients? As I have already received a false message of someone pretending to be you

  3. I'm sorry the weather was not always good for your family trip Yuka chan

The Bouganvillea flowers were beautiful and so were the illuminations. ❤

  4. Thank you for another nice and entertaining video. I liked how you greeted all the animals. 🦆
Watch out for the coconuts! 😳😂

  5. Maybe Yuka can list all of the places she bought food and enjoyed the food. It would be handy for the tourists who will follow her travels by themselves. She seems to find a lot of good places. I love watching her videos.

  6. Yuka chan, your blogs as the best. Show where to go and what can be done is always fun to follow. Say hello to your family. You looked so adorable the way Mom did your hair!

  7. The camera person also does a wonderful job. Great job! Great channel. Great vlog. So nice to watch and many travels and foods to enjoy.

  8. Okinawa is definitely a tropical treasure. What beautiful scenery. Thank you for showing off some of the amazing places you visited. So amazing how the islands of Japan have such different climates from North to South. Very glad you survived that ferocious butterfly attack and being abandoned and left for dead on the side of the road when your bicycle got stuck in the mud.
