初めて恐怖を覚えました 🇨🇴南米バイク旅[S5-E3]

There’s something ahead. Get over here. Oh man, you messed up! Go, man. Speed up before they’re back! Go, go. Fast! Good morning, people. It’s ten in the morning and we’re almost ready to leave the town of Caracoli. You might be wondering what we’re so late today.

And the reason is, it was pouring today, this morning. Since last night, we had heavy rain. The power went out at five in the morning. There was no more fan in our room. It was not working. It was super hot. It woke me up. We went to have some breakfast in the morning

And now we’re finally getting ready to leave. This is a very small town. There’s only 4,500 people living here. There aren’t any foreigners here, and dressed like this, everyone’s giving us looks. Since everyone knows each other, they know right away when someone’s from out of town.

It took us a long time to get ready this morning. But, anyways, we don’t have a long ride ahead, so it’s alright, I guess. Ready, Boo? Yeap. Let’s go. Look at those beautiful mountains. We couldn’t see any of those this morning because it was all white up there.

This road that we’re going to take here, it’s the same we took yesterday on our way to the town. It is open now. They’re doing some work on this road, so they close it from time to time and yesterday they let us through. So we were lucky.

Well, today we’re going to be driving to a town called Cimitarra. There’s something ahead. The cattle is coming this way! Get over here! Oh! The cattle is coming! Oh, man! You messed up! Shoot. The cows are coming, and they told us to move away, but how can we move away? Just stay still.

Go, man. Speed up before they’re back! Thank you. Go, go. Fast. Apparently. Go, go. The cattle business is big around this area. Wow! Lots of cars driving the way, driving to Caracoli. It was not like that yesterday. So today we’re going to be driving to this place called Cimitarra.

It’s about 160 kilometers from here. That’s about a three hour drive. It’s not too bad. Most of the road is going to be, I mean, all of the road is going to be paved. We are going to be driving *east of Colombia. We’re going to go down to the valley of Magdalena,

And we’re getting closer to the Eastern Andes Mountain Range. There’s a lot going on right now. Thank you. Where’s Kaito? Go. There’s a lot going on on this start. We haven’t even driven for five kilometers and there’s a lot going on already. Yeah, yeah, we can go.

I think it’s closed for cars again, the road. But since we’re on motorbikes, they will let us through. Thank you. The advantages of traveling by motorbike, guys. Who knows how long we’d be stuck there if we were in a car? Tasty? I think that woman was eating like a guava or something.

Hello. Thank you. Look at all this wood here. The weather is great today. Not to cold, not too hot. Just great when riding. Probably a bit too hot once you stop. But, honestly, it feels great. We’re so lucky that the rain stopped.

When the rain comes down in Colombia, like these heavy rain downpours, you never know if it’s going to last for the full day or just a couple of hours. Really, you cannot tell. So we’re really lucky. Oh, God. This is the second dog we see pooping in the middle of the street.

Oh! With a baby on a motorbike. The baby can barely sit. Busy town. Whoa, look at all that meat. Gosh. Bones! Man. We’re now on the main road. I think this is route number 62, and this is the road that will take us all the way to Cimitarra.

It’s going to be a winding road. And probably once we go down to the Magdalena Valley, it’s going to be flat terrain. Not very mountainous like it is right now. Man, these views are beautiful! Whoa. Look at this. Imagine what it was like building this road years ago, having to dig this mountain.

Wow. That must have been a pretty hard job. There is a dead animal on the road. Oh, God. A vulture. We’re literally at the top of this mountain. This is like a main road and then you find these mules charged with, I don’t know. Was that sugarcane? I guess. Such a curvy road.

It’s been curve after curve after curve for the past 20 minutes. The sky is getting a little bit dark. I honestly hope it’s not going to rain. Here in Colombia, when you say hi to the army, you just do a thumbs up. There seems to be a lot of animals around here

And they have created these sort of bridges from one side to the other for the monkeys and other little animals to cross from one side to the other. Haven’t been able to get one on camera, but I’ll try to get it next time to show you.

We’re going to be stopping for some gas. Gas here is 14,650 COP per gallon. Can I pay with my card? Do you collect points? No. There’s a restaurant right here. We’ll check out their menu and decide if we’re staying to eat or not. They have chicken, pork, beef. They have even “guagua”.

I don’t know how you call it in English. Anyway, it’s another animal. We’re not having that. And it comes with rice, beans. You want to eat here? The chicken it’s not fried. I asked. Do they have “ajiaco”? No. “Ajiaco” is not from here. Yeah. Okay, let’s eat here. Okay.

We’re having some local lemonade. Cheers. Cheers. Just what we needed. It’s sweetened with “panela”, I think. Yeah. With raw sugar. It’s really sweet. Kaito’s having his first plantain soup. It’s super tasty. Really, really tasty. What an amazing flavor. I’ve noticed that beans are quite popular in the Antioquia region.

I’m having them with rice, chicken, salad and potatoes. What a huge plate! I’ll refuel with this. Bon appétit. Salads in Colombia are delicious. We’ve got 1 hour and 16 minutes left, and I’m seeing if there’s a cooler route. Let me show you our setup for internet on the road. This is it.

We’re constantly asked about this machine. It’s actually our Wi-Fi. We borrowed the Wi-Fi router from Jetfi and we’re using it to find off-road routes on the map. I was hoping for an off-road route, but it seems there aren’t any around here. Not at all. Okay.

It’s normal to ride at 80 km/h on these roads in Colombia. That’s the usual speed on highways in Japan. But these are just regular roads. Despite the curves, people still maintain an 80 km/h speed. Incredible, right? Amazing! What a massive river! This is Colombia’s largest river. Do you all see that up ahead?

That’s a fauna bridge. They’re for animals to cross from one side to the other. Would you look at that couple, going 80 km/h without helmets! To top it off, they’re carrying a gas tank! Unreal! This route’s a total date spot, right? Is that the police again? They’re pulling over every car.

Time for a change of scenery. I kind of want to take this off-road path. I love roads like these. Nice. How nice. There are cows everywhere. I mean , horses. I can’t see well. I have no clue where this road leads. But let’s keep going! Worst case, we’ll just have to backtrack.

That’s the road we were riding on. We’re definitely straying from it. This road doesn’t even show up on Google Maps. Thank you. It seems like this road connects to the main road. Hello. Wow. What a cool spot. Wow. Is that a restaurant? Oh! Hold on. That cow… They’re kind of skinny. Wow.

Hi there. Sorry, buddy. It’s scared. Whoa. Why are cows here on this narrow road? They’re all quite skinny. Oh, man. If they decide to chase us down, we’re finished. What have we gotten into? Mama cow and baby cow. This road is beautiful. I feel like I’m in the middle of a grassland. Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! I’m sliding from side to side, man. These rocks… These rocks are shady. So much dust. Guys, I’ve just realized those are the Eastern Andes.

If I’m not mistaken. But I think that’s it. That’s the mountain range. Oh, I just got goosebumps. Wow. How beautiful! Wow. Unbelievable. We are no longer in the Department of Antioquia. We are already in Santander. It’s not as small of a town as we were expecting it to be.

It’s actually pretty large compared to the ones we’ve visited so far. We made it to the hotel. It’s in the middle of the the business, the commerce area, I guess. Got to get off the bike and then just ask where we can park the motorbikes.

The room has no windows, it’s really, really small. The bathroom is really not what we were expecting, you know. We can basically sleep anywhere, but it’s just that when you are shown some pictures online and then the reality is completely different, of course, you’re not happy about it, you know.

So we have found another hotel that is on the outskirts of town, just 5 minutes away from here. And I guess we’re going to see if that’s a better option. This is the hotel and the parking is here. Let’s park somewhere here, Boo, and then I’ll go ask
