新川千本桜まつり [4K] Shinkawa Senbonzakura Festival

Shinkawa Senbonzakura Festival Location: Yonamoto & Kano, Yachiyo City, Chiba Prefecture Date taken: March 3, 2024 About 1,000 cherry trees of eight varieties, including Kawazu cherry trees and Someiyoshino cherry trees, are planted along a 9-km stretch of the Shinkawa River, collectively called “Shinkawa Senbonzakura”.

The “Shinkawa Senbonzakura Festival” was held from March 2nd (Sat) to 3rd (Sun), 2024. The lights was on from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm from March 2 to 10, 2024. “Shinkawa Promenade” (Shinkawa Cycling Course) “Hirado Bridge”

Shinkawa is a man-made river, and it is the discharge channel of “Inbanuma” which is connected to the Tone River. The Shinkawa River joins the Hanamigawa River on its way and eventually flows into Tokyo Bay.

新川の川沿い約9kmの両岸に河津桜、ソメイヨシノなど8種類、約1,000本の桜が植栽されていて、これらの桜を総称して 「新川千本桜」と呼んでいます。
「新川千本桜まつり」は、令和6年3月2日（土）・3日（日）に開催。
ライトアップは、令和6年3月2日～10日の午後5時～8時に点灯。
