東京→小笠原諸島 父島 24時間フェリー旅＆父島滞在記

1000 km south of Tokyo. Sailing to Bonin Islands! Hello! This is Hamamatsucho station in Tokyo. Now I am going to Bonin Islands. Let’s go to Tokyo Port first. It’s a seven-minute walk. Elevator in front of the station. To the 3rd floor. Walk on the pedestrian deck from here. Direct connection to Tokyo Port.

Good view of Tokyo Tower. Bonin Islands are 1000 km from Tokyo. It’s a 24-hour ferry trip. Tokyo Port comes into view. On the way, Takeshiba station of Yurikamome line. From Takeshiba station, it’s a one-minute walk. Arrival. Go to the observation terrace. This is the ferry. Inaugurated in 2016, 150 meters long. “Ogasawara Maru”

Boarding has already begun. The window is on the 1st floor. Let’s go through the boarding process. From the central square, to Takeshiba Passenger Boat Terminal. Spacious waiting area. This is the window. Bonin Islands. The only inhabited islands are Chichijima and Hahajima. Stores and restaurant open. Let’s take a look inside.

My cabin is on the 5th floor. Booked “Special berth” for $290. Capsule berths are lined up. Lower berths. Large room with a capacity of 10. Upper berths. Let’s take a closer look at the berth. Inside is 80 cm wide, 200 cm long. Storage space under berth. Looks comfortable even if small.

A little further away, Yomejima Island. Bonin Islands consists mainly of three archipelagos. The Mukojima archipelago is one of them. Staff explains about the islands. Intense sunlight.
