Ishikawa Prefecture is Underrated – Cycling in Japan, Tedori River Gorge & Mt. Hakusan Area 🚲 手取峡谷

Here’s another reason why I think cycling in Ishikawa prefecture is so underrated south of kazawa near the Mount hakkasan area is the tadori river The Gorge is beautiful with vibrant teal water and the watak kataki waterfall you can get here on the 20 km long toori Canyon cycling path nearby is

Obok suuki a nearly 700-year old cedar tree it’s one of the top 100 trees in Japan back in kazawa I can ride home along the beautiful ASO River h

The cycling in Japan continues to impress me – add the Tedori River to the list of amazing places to ride a bike in Ishikawa Prefecture!

The Tedori River Gorge is south of Kanazawa, around the foot of Mt. Hakusan. There’s a great cycling path along the river, and you can bike right up to the Watagataki Waterfall view 🚲

The nearly 700 year old cedar tree is named “oboke-sugi” because its huge branches resemble a Buddhist altar offering bowl heaped with rice (oboke) 🌳
