Regreso a COLOMBIA y ENTRO en ZONA ROJA (S24/E01) VUELTA al MUNDO en MOTO con CHARLY SINEWAN

My name is Carlos García Portal and I have been traveling around the world on a motorcycle in stages for 14 years now . My name is Carlos García, but on the internet everyone, or almost everyone, knows me as Charly Sinewan

And, in fact, I have been traveling around the world on a motorcycle in stages for 14 years across the five continents, many countries and thousands of experiences that I have been sharing with all of you in 23 different Stages.

The last of them took me to know Venezuela in depth and ended here, in Cúcuta, a Colombian city on the border with Venezuela and where I hid the motorcycle for a few weeks until I resumed the trip. Because traveling in stages leads you to need people to store your motorcycle and help you

If you need to make arrangements when you are away and in this case it has been Cami and Gian Carlos’s family who have taken care of me at all times. And today here, near Cúcuta in Colombia and also very close to Venezuela, Stage 24 begins,

Which starts here and, after a lot of thinking, will go more or less towards the south and from here we will head in. , if all goes well, towards Tierra del Fuego. But the trip must continue and once and for all move towards the south, towards Tierra del Fuego

Where I have proposed to arrive at the age of 50, that is, in 2025. Charly, how much do all the suitcases that you carry weigh in total? ? Good question, before I think the suitcases weighed 70 and now I hope to be 60…I have lost a little. These do look shorter. Good luck!

Come on! Thank you very much, huh. What an excitement to resume the trip! New Stage, kids! Stage 24, ON! And yes or yes we are going south. Well, for now I’m going to get gas, I’m bringing water, I’m going with Gian Carlos who is going to escort me a little. I follow you!

This is Cúcuta. Wow, guys, how Ducatank sounds, huh! Well, I’m going to get gas. The world on a motorcycle with Charly Sinewan Season 24 Red Zone. Chapter 1 I’m going to pour good gasoline and in a normal place, at a pump. It’s full of gas stations in Venezuela too, right?

Do many people come from Venezuela? In addition. Throughout the previous stage through Venezuela, I always had to travel with a bag and two extra gasoline canisters; an excess of weight and volume that I got rid of in the last chapters, and that, and that I have reduced a little luggage,

Is going to make me go a little lighter in this Stage 24. I have been there for several weeks and the gas is there. .. It’s super bad. Very bad, of course. It also has another color and another smell. Delighted, thank you. Let’s go!

Well, full tank, tank as we would say in Spain, water, I don’t have any food, I don’t care. Today isn’t going to be very…Well, you never know, right? but well now I’ll tell you the plan. For now, I’m going to leave Cúcuta, I’m escorted by Gian Carlos and now I’m still alone.

Charly, good luck, did you hear? Thanks for everything! Count with me! We’re talking, huh. Here we are waiting for you. Thank you very much. Well, I’m going to try to leave Cúcuta as soon as possible. Wow, kid, “Motorraco”! “Ducatank power”, huh.

I have made a configuration because, normally, in enduro mode I did not bring all the power to the engine because you don’t need it, but analyzing the clutch breakage I think it may have a little to do with not having brought all the power.

I still had to play with the clutch a little more at some point. In the last kilometers in Venezuela and on an impossible slope, I ran out of clutch which led me to a couple of very fun chapters

And ending up in Freddy’s workshop where I replaced it so I could continue on the road. So, we have a new clutch. Well, it seems that we are leaving Cúcuta and therefore season 24 begins. I am heading towards an area called Catatumbo, which is a bit dangerous

As they say; Obviously I think that nothing is happening, but… What you see already painted on the map of Colombia was what I traveled in Stage 22 and now, before facing south, I am heading towards the Northwest to cross and try enter

Catatumbo, an area classified as red for being the place in the world with the most coca plantations and because it is in the hands of the guerrilla or the drug traffickers or both, I don’t know very well, to be honest.

In theory I should ask the police if I should go to Catatumbo east or not, where I want to go, which is that way, which I think is offroad, but… in these places I don’t know what’s worse, The truth is, sometimes it depends on who you deal with.

I understand that the majority are honest, honest and good people and they are not going to want anything to happen to me, obviously, but not all. Shipyards is the name of this town. The important moment of the day arrives, I have just arrived at Astilleros and I am heading towards Ocaña,

The logical thing would be to go on 70, a road on which you have to be careful, but which is asphalt and, in principle, safe. I should go straight, shouldn’t I? Who could I ask? But I want to cross the Catatumbo inside, on dirt roads and try to talk

To the people of the area, especially with farmers who can tell me a little about their lives and their reality. A biker. Hello how are you? One question, is it advisable for me to go around as a tourist in Tibú and all that? It depends what I’m going to do.

Nothing, travel, pass, I’m not going to do anything bad. The truth is that I don’t know, I don’t know around there. Oh, don’t you know? Nothing, then I won’t bother you, don’t worry. Thank you. I don’t know, I just want to go there, honestly. Look at the beautiful mountains.

Behind those mountains is the area with the largest number of coca leaf crops in the world, but above all, and from what I have found out, hundreds of small farmers who want to stop growing coca and work with other legal and less problematic products

But that, to make that change, they need help from the government. Maybe I’m going where I’m not called, right? And what I want is to confirm what I tell you by talking to farmers, but to do that I have to enter an area classified as red. What do we do?

This is a messenger, this one carries things, let’s see. Hello! I ask you, or what? Hello, a question, is going to Tibu safe for a tourist or not? Regular, huh? Regular? Yes, there is danger there. There is danger? If that? If there are checkpoints.

If there are checkpoints it is dangerous, and do they usually exist? Red Zone, quite a few. Red Zone, okay. But the real problem and what classifies the area as red is that the Colombian Catatumbo is in the hands of the guerrilla or the drug traffickers or both, I don’t know very well,

But from what it seems there are usually checkpoints to control who enters, who leaves and with what. Well, I’m going to move forward a little. Thank you. And now I turn around, I think. I have seen a checkpoint there. Thank you!

I think that in the first chapter I got into the Red Zone… Well, I’m going to do it… I liked that guy because he carried merchandise. I’m going to ask a second question. I mean, I really want it because it is an area where I would love to talk to people.

I’m going to ask here. Hello, can I ask you a question? Is it safe to go there or not? I’m a tourist. How far more or less? I would like to go to Tibú, but many people have told me not to even think about it. Brother, just as you are going… Better not.

I wouldn’t advise you much. No, or what? No, right? Not only to Tibú, from here to down… From here to there, not anymore, right? Just the way you are, with that beauty… It’s up to you, but… Nothing, nothing, I ask the local people. Thank you. It is not recommended.

I would really like to, but I don’t want to… I thank you. The girl says no, right? You say no? Well nothing. Thank you. Let’s be frank, the local people are very afraid because obviously they find out about everything bad.

It is very difficult for anything to happen to a tourist, and if something happens to a tourist, obviously, other types of people will come to ask and find out and investigate. Having said all this, I have been in Cúcuta for a few days trying to get them to let me pass.

That is, let them know that a tourist is going to pass by and let me pass, let them know that I am going to enter and leave as I did in the Copper Canyon, for example, in Mexico; area completely controlled by drug traffickers.

In 2019 I toured the Copper Canyon in Mexico with my friend Víctor. Maybe they weren’t the best people to ask, right? Well, it was clear that they were armed to the hilt. An area controlled by drug traffickers and where we had to warn that we were entering and that we were tourists,

Which saved us from any problems and we even felt that they were protecting us so that we could leave there without mishaps. I was with Victor, they let us in, they protected us because we were sorry and they let us out, obviously.

The sooner we leave, well for them, I imagine the better because they removed a possible problem. This time, in the days I have been there, I have not found anyone who had a contact that would leave me calm enough to enter at random.

I honestly think nothing would happen to me if I went there. At most, obviously, it could happen? Yes, maybe they rob me. It hasn’t happened to me in my life, but it could be good. I don’t think they’re going to kill me, which would be the only thing that really has no solution.

Now, I also tell you, first day of the trip after the break between stages, I have many very nice places to go, I am not getting lost either… I mean, it is true that there is a story there that I would really like count. The history and present of Colombia are very complex.

Guerrillas, paramilitary groups, coca cultivation and drug trafficking are very present actors in the daily life of this country and, therefore, in a trip like this that tells the path and reality of its people, it is impossible not to Talk about it.

But yes or yes the story has to be told through the voice of the local people and today seems not to be the day. That said, we are going to enjoy the trip and we are still going to cross the Catatumbo,

What happens is that we are going to cross it in the area, on the main road, I wanted to cross it through mountains and through towns and along roads, but well, I think that instinct tells me not to do it. Conclusion: I join the main asphalt road that crosses the Catatumbo

Parallel to these spectacular mountains where I have already given up continuing, but even so the main road is considered a Red Zone, so it is best to ask before continuing. What do I tell them? La San Juana, I won’t stop there. There’s the curve, too. And on the curve, not even joking.

And when you get to Alto El Pozo, the military is on the road. If you see them, stop. It won’t stop in Ábrego either. Neither does El Charro. No, I’m going that way, right? It is going to pass through the Tarrita… There was no road, now the military built a bridge.

A temporary bridge because it fell. They are not passing by right now. In other words, let’s recap: San Juana, not even joking. The curve, not even kidding. Alto El Pozo, if the military is there, don’t worry, there is no problem. I continue, El Tarra, I don’t stop either. Ábrego doesn’t stop either.

The Estancia, nothing. It is on the road, the place is called that, La Estancia. The Hermitage. La Ermita is before Ocaña. Bethlehem beach was where the French were robbed, do you remember? Don’t get anything involved. Yes, of course, they came in a…what do you call it, a trailer? Yes, in a Camper.

That’s when he was robbed on the beach. And what did the French get into there? They stole everything they had. And from there it will reach Ocaña. And in Ocaña it’s over, everything is quiet now. All quiet. From Ocaña he continues to Río de Oro.

He says he is going to Esperanza, he is going to cross the San Alberto. Going up to Convention, for example, doesn’t matter either, right? No, no, be careful! I ask him. No, not that, nothing. Okay, then I’ll continue there as quietly as I can. Golden River, Platanal, Aguachica. Aguachica. Already? Be careful…

I really liked you. No, calm down… Brother, success. They filled him with fear but… No, no, we made things clear to him. I’m not afraid, but I like to ask local people. Before getting into trouble for free, why. That is, let’s say 100%, it is 95% of something happening.

Well, I believe that the statistics say that it should continue. I thank you very much. I’m done with the conversation… He wanted me to go with him, but no. Shall I put a little chair here? Well, a pleasure, really. A pleasure.

Bye, thanks. Well, what do you want me to say, what a pleasure to stop and talk to people. It’s just that I’ve been seeing those mountains all the time and it really bothers me not to cross them. So, I asked again, but this time it was emphatic because

All of those people, but some in particular, knew a lot and they already heard: we have to get through all this fairly quickly. I’m going to make a lot of progress today, huh. I’m going to try to get to Ocaña and pass the entire Red Zone, to see if nothing happens to us.

And well, you have already heard these people, that is, all the towns, even on this highway, it is better not to stop because everything is controlled by the drug traffickers and the guerrillas. Well, I’m approaching the first town, San Juana, one of which I’ve been told not to even think about stopping.

I have always thought that these red and dangerous zones, especially on asphalt, mean that the danger is that something like a puncture, mechanical breakdown happens to you, you have to stand still for a long time and many people see you and give them time to think.

The story of crossing here was not a whim for me, it’s just that those mountains… I have seen documentaries of all the coca plantations and everything and apart from the fact that the story is interesting, this was about the people, not the plantations.

But the people who have to work there, normal and ordinary people who, due to circumstances, have had to go there to work and collect coca. But, apart from that, the landscape is very beautiful. Good site! Be careful there, eh! So how far are you going? Very far?! Be careful, hey!

Well, this has become very spectacular. The temperature has dropped to 27 degrees and it has become very beautiful. In the end, at least along the road, they are also big mountains. What a bridge, right?! Corn arepas with cheese. They’re not my favorites, to be honest, but I’m very hungry.

This is the “Cease Fire”, I think it’s called, right? Where the lady told me that perhaps there were soldiers here and no, there aren’t any. From here I’m going to Ocaña and I think I’m going to sleep in Ocaña today. I continue: Ocaña, 69 km. It’s 3 pm, perfect. What spectacular mountains, huh.

Take the music there. Bring the music with a giant speaker. El Tarra, this is another town called El Tarra where they have also told me not to stop. I already told you that it is a bit exaggerated, but oh well. When the river sounds… There they go with the little music so comfortable.

Where we go, we go with the music. How beautiful, how good! Without music it is very ugly. Yes, very ugly. Where are you taking her? To Ocaña. Ocaña. And you? To El Tarra. To Catatumbo. Ah, the Tarra is already, right? No, not that El Tarra, the one from Catatumbo.

Ah, the one from Catatumbo. And is that dangerous to go as a tourist or not? No. See, it’s dangerous anywhere. It depends on the person’s behavior. Completely. Yes or no? Always. You arrive as a tourist, nothing happens… Look, my brother-in-law is in that car, right?

He doesn’t know there and we take him there. What country are you from? From Spain. I have two brothers living there in Spain. Well, have a good trip. That is the bridge that the military has made, I believe, right? that had been broken. It had fallen down and they made a new one.

I don’t know if it’s provisional, but let’s go. This is slippery! How nice this is, isn’t it? How peculiar, isn’t it? Total red river, huh, look. Well I’m entering Abrego. I have a gang of kids following me, I can’t overtake this truck. There’s quite a bit of movement, isn’t there? in Abrego.

There are many motorcycles, right? There is a lot of movement in this town, a lot of motorcycles… There is something in that town, I don’t know what it is but there is something. Ugh, let’s go! I’m arriving in Ocaña, huh. Wich material are they made? Meat, chicken. That’s meat, is that chicken? Meat.

Beef or? Beef. And this one here carries? That one is mixed, meat, chicken and chorizo. Oh, I want one of those, a mixed one. I was looking for a restaurant, I think the best thing is to eat on the street, right?

This is the city of Ocaña, north of the department of Santander and within the area known as Catatumbo. From here the route takes me out of what is considered the Red Zone and takes me to an important turning point in the trip through Colombia and therefore through South America. Good morning.

Today can be a great day… Good morning. Well, let’s see, we are in Ocaña, the Red Zone is all this here that, much to my regret, I will not be able to cross. Look, I got a couplet! What a morning!

So, we go to this intersection from here to Aguachica, to tell him to take me out of here as soon as possible and there I have to tell you… 54 km route. Time 53 minutes. Thank you “OsmAnda”, what a pleasure to travel with you, really.

So, at that intersection I have to tell you about an important decision about this trip and also a little about this trip around the world, right? But first, I’m going to put gas if I can Extra, because this bike

Has consumed regular gasoline for a long time and deserves the best while it can be had. Ugh, what a pleasure, what a desire for a motorcycle! Ok, in Colombia there are two types of gasoline, Normal and Extra, and Extra is only available in cities. Good morning, don’t you have Extra? As? Extra.

In the terminal. And leaving towards the Río de Oro, do you think so, but maybe so, but no…? Yes there is, as there is transportation, there is cargo. The road is national. I’m going to play it. It’s just that I have to go through the center again… Thank you.

I need to move forward, it’s 10 in the morning. I woke up at 6. There is nothing like, for me, there is nothing like a calm and slow sunrise. Good morning how are you? Well, army checkpoint, Red Zone. There is some police intensity, but very little.

Well, I have been told that the best way to find Extra is Aguachica, which is 44 km away. And the computer says that I have between 55 and 60 left, it tells me, it depends on the speed I’m going, so, nothing, I’m going to go slowly, calmly.

I leave Ocaña and head west about 45 km until I meet the 45, a road that if it turned north, would take me towards the Guajira desert and the Colombian Caribbean, but that is not the case. Well, this is the detour. I’m going south.

My days as a foreigner in Colombia are limited and what I have left I have decided to invest in another area of the country that is much less known and, therefore, for me more attractive and that we will get to know throughout this season

That started today and to which I am especially excited. So, for now I turn on 40 south and head towards Medellín where I will make a quick stop before continuing south and heading towards that destination in Colombia. Hello. Do you have Extra? In alarming quantities.

I have come so many kilometers that I have not known how to answer you, you have left me speechless. It was the best answer I could have ever heard. Plus I’ve been looking for Extra all day. Yeah, it’s not easy, huh. Is not easy. Mister! How are you man, good or not?

Is there ice cream there? In alarming quantities. Look out. Are you all in or what? Yes, how do you think? Multifaceted. You have work in an alarming amount. Piece of tunnel! 4 km of tunnel, no joke, huh. Well, we are, I am, we are 74 km from Medellín.

I don’t know where I’m going to sleep, but Medellín is quite expensive. I have put there the name of a hostel that Agus recommended to me. Oh, by the way, it’s night. You might not know it, because I have made a transition, an ellipsis rather.

I’ve been on the holy motorcycle all day but on a road like this without any incentive, simply hitting the gas to get to Medellín. A very long day on the road and “psychologist-helmet” takes me on asphalt to Medellín

Where I intend to get the motorcycle ready and prepare the route to that Colombian destination that I am so looking forward to and that you will learn about, I suppose, in the next chapter. Thanks for being there, see you on Sunday. To be continue

  10. ESCUCHA MÁS TERRITORIO NARCO QUE LAS BARRANQUILLAS DE MADRID NO HAY, QUE ME ESTAS CONTANDO Y YA NO TE DIGO O EL CONGRESO DE LOS DIPUTADOS, MAFIOSOS, RACISTAS Y AMIGOS DE LA GUERRA PATROCINANDO A ISRAEL Y ESTADOS SUMIDOS……
