人生を変えた究極のバイクアドベンチャー|南米コロンビア・総集編

It’s a terrible landslide completely blocking the road. Go, go, go, go, go. Go boo. Whoaaa. He’s stuck! Oh, no! Never before have I cried while taking in a view like this. We’re about to ride these off-road Honda motorbikes a thousand kilometers across Colombia. The riding conditions will be: 40% paved and 60% off-road.

Spoiler alert… There are going to be a lot of highs Wooow It’s amazing! This is so much fun! And a lot of lows. Traffic is crazy! Agh It started raining. He just lost an auxilary light. But one thing’s for sure… It’s going to be an adventure. The perfect loop. Let me explain.

The perfect loop is a 7-day tour organized by Colombia Moto Adventures across Colombia’s famous coffee region, an authentic off-the-beaten-path experience involving wax palm forests, volcanoes, hummingbirds, hot springs, isolated villages and spectacular sceneries. Basically, you get to experience the best of Colombia on a motorbike if you only have a week.

Today we’ll start the 1,000 km long journey from the city of Medellin. Good morning, guys. Today is a very special day because we’re going on a motorcycle tour. The day has finally come. Let’s go! Good morning. Thank you. Good morning. Good morning. Today we’re going on a motorcycle adventure tour across Colombia.

We’re going to be riding for 7 days across the coffee region. I can’t wait to get going. Nice to meet you. Hi, nice to meet you. Hello. How are you? Nice to meet you. My friends. You guys are going to be doing something called the seven day perfect loop.

This little guy wants to come with us. You want to come with us, huh? You’re going to go see a lot of cool stuff. You can go to the Wax Palm Forest, you’ll go up to the “paramo”, which is Colombian Tundra above tree line and really nice hot springs hotels.

It’s sort of like five star resorts. It’s super cool. Unpaved roads with potholes and stuff can be out there, but it’s nothing extreme, nothing treacherous. It’s nothing that you can’t handle. We have people like 80 years old doing this trip and they make it and they don’t have any trouble at all.

I haven’t had the chance to look at bikes in a while. Do you guys know the bikes here? I actually know a lot about 250 cc motorbikes and smaller, but not so much about bigger ones. If you guys have seen these bikes in Japan, let us know. They’re all Honda and Suzuki motorbikes.

Try this, homie. yeah, that’s your size. It’s perfect. Is that you? Yeah. You flip that up and it has an integrated visor as well. The Japanese style. We’ll put our stuff in here and everything will be dry even if it rains, right Ori? Yes. I haven’t been this excited in a long time.

I haven’t gotten on a motorbike in 6 months. Time to go! Where’s my motorbike? Ori’s will be riding the XRE 300. I’m going to be riding the same XRE 300. I really haven’t been this excited in a while. I feel great. Let’s enjoy this week-long adventure, guys. So have fun, homies.

Okay, thank you. I’m ready. I’m super excited. It had been a while. 6 months since my last ride. This is quite the bumpy road. Uuy. It’s really light, this motorbike. I’m sure you guys want to know what riding a bike in Colombia is like. Stay tuned for that.

It’s going to be an adventure like no other. The roads in Japan are in perfect condition but in Colombia, there are lots of bumpy roads. Let’s see what kind of adventure this turns out to be. Let me show you the motorbike I’m riding. It’s an XRE 300. It’s a Honda motorbike.

I’m actually not sure whether this bike is sold in Japan. It’s Ori’s first time riding a 300cc motorbike. It’s also my first time. That’s right. In Colombia, we drive on the right side, not on the left. Uy. Uy, uy. What a road. These bumps are crazy.

The road is completely different from that in Japan. It’s super bumpy here. Look at that. Uuy. This motorbike is super light. Ori’s Clubman is a 250cc motorbike, but this one is a lot lighter. This motorbike is also pretty smooth. Doing all right? Perfect. Yeah. Uy. Look at that hole.

If you guys have seen our videos, you know we love motorbikes. We like them so much, we even fully restored one. We disassembled it completely to fix it and toured around Japan with it. But while we were traveling, I got into an accident and we had to stop our trip.

That was last year in October and ever since, I hadn’t ridden. It’s now March 2023. 6 months after the accident I’m finally riding. And it’s not in Japan. I’m doing it in this adventurous country, Colombia. There’s only excitement inside of me. Just look a this road! Check this view.

I’ve never seen something like this in Japan. Stunning. Wow. This is amazing. Really. Check out Ori’s new style. She looks so cool. Wow. Amazing! Look at Ori riding. That’s Ori right in front of me. I can’t get enough of these views. Plus the horses. No horses, cows.

Ori looks so good on that motorbike. Guys, we’re now in a hamlet at the top of a mountain on the outskirts of Medellin. I guess that’s why the views from here are beautiful. Hope you guys can see the same from these videos. It’s great to be riding these roads on a motorbike.

Because we’re on a bike, we can feel the wind, the smells, and the whole thrill of the adventure. I know you can see how excited I am. It’s only day 1 and I haven’t even ride for 5 minutes. There are 2 guides with us on this tour. They’re trained mechanics

So we won’t have any problem at all on the road. Insurance is included in the tour. Hotels and meals are too. We’ve got nothing to worry about. That’s the kind of motorcycle tour we’re in right now. It was raining this morning, but I’m glad it has now stopped.

However, we’re now going up hill so it might rain again. Nothing we can do. I’m really liking this motorbike. I was talking with Ori earlier and we now want off-road motorbikes. Well, we’ve got 2 250cc now in Japan and we definitely want to travel with those bikes. Wow. Horses. Oh.

It seems we’ve reached a small village. There are little restaurants and many houses. The road is pretty narrow. There’s baraly any space for another vehicle here. In Colombia… What do you call these bumps? Anyways, they’re everywhere. Oh. Oh wow. Here… Wow. Only one vehicle at a time. Thank you. Whoa. What a road.

Oh. Crazy. Okay. Okey dokey. We’re heading to a place called Sonsón. Just a couple of years ago, it was guerilla territory, which made it was impossible to visit. That town is actually part of the coffee region and now that the guerilla left the area it’s not possible to visit.

I can’t wait to see that town. I guess there’s not a lot of people who’ve visited that town. I’m not sure though. Plus, I’ll get to try authentic coffee. Colombia’s known for its coffee after all. I can’t wait. To get there we need to go across the city of Medellin

Which guys, I got to tell you… driving a motorcycle in a city it’s quite a challenge here in Colombia. Bikes, they don’t care about rules. They just go right, left, whatever they want to do, what they do it. So, this is going to be interesting.

I have this image of Colombia as a place with many motorbike accidents. Now that I’m on the road, I realize there are really many bikes. Just like this guy. Did you see that? He’s quite dan gerous. They go right and left, in between cars. I really don’t want to drive a car here.

These are the slums. That’s the place we visited yesterday. The way Colombians drive is not the same as Japanese. Cars tend to tailgate you. Everybody uses their car horns and they really tailgate you. It’s quite scary. Having that in mind, I find it weird we don’t see lots of accidents.

Oh! Did you see that? It might be nothing for those who are used to that. We’re 2, 4, 6 on this tour. The guy next to me is riding a Suzuri DR 650. It’s a pretty cool bike. Super cool. Hi there. Hi boo.

I didn’t think I’d be driving in between cars in Colombia. Oooh Uuy. There are so many cars and motorbikes… Whoa! This is a big traffic jam. So many cars! Colombian traffic is another level. It’s faster to move on a bicycle. This is Colombian traffic, guys. And this is the way motorbikes get ahead.

We’re not driving on a lane, but we’re driving in between the cars. Oh my god. This is crazy. Crazy, but fun. It’s all part of the experience. Whoa, whoa, whoa. That was close. Everybody’s in a rush and that’s why we’re stuck here. This is nuts. It’s way too narrow, Ori.

Impossible to go through. It’s impossible to go through, Ori. Really? She went through! Crazy. We’re finally out. Whoa. Traffic is crazy. Wow! Traffic here is crazy. If you don’t have a motorbike, you can’t move. It would take you hours, it’d take you forever to get across the city.

What a cool way of going across the city! There roadside shops are everywhere in Colombia. I see “Pikachu”. They have “Pikachu” and emoji pillows. What a huge tunnel! It’s super large! For real! It’s huge! A motorcycle shop. That’s a 50cc KLX. A small motorbike. I didn’t it come that small.

There are actually many motorbike shops. There’s one over there, another here and over there a KTM shop. That’s cool. I’ve got the motorbike fever now! I find it pretty cool that a big city like this one, with so many cars managed to include greenery everywhere. I think we’re finally leaving the city, guys.

At least, there’s not much traffic jam. It is crazy here in Colombia, I mean. I grew up here, I drove here for many years before moving to Japan, but, I mean, after 5 years in Japan, driving across the city with traffic jam, it’s crazy. We left the city of Medellin behind

And have now started going uphill. The temperature is changing fast. It was quite sunny a while back, but now it’s quite cloudy and chilly. This road is great for smooth rides. There barely no cars. I’m cruising at approximately 60 km per hour. I’m cruising at approximately 60 km per hour. It feels great.

What a winding road we’re driving on! We left the city behind, guys. Look at that down there. You would think Colombia is hot, but we’re actually pretty high in the mountains, so it’s pretty chilly today. It’s drizzling a little bit and we’re going to drive to pretty high places,

So it’s going to get cold. It started raining! We’re going up in the mountains, after all. The weather changes fast up here. Thank you. We’ve driven for about 2 hours. This is so much fun! Nothing beats riding a motorbike. That’s why I won’t stop.

I’m so happy to start riding again, not in Japan, but in Colombia. In a previous video, we talked about crossing the Americas. Well, I feel even more excited about it now. I can’t say how much fun this is. We’re going to be riding for 40 more minutes before stopping for lunch.

The sky’s clearing up a little bit. Still cloudy, but… no more rain, guys. Here we go! I was talking to the guides a while back and I asked them if they have had Colombians doing this tour because these tous are mostly for foreigners coming to Colombia. And, no.

Apparently, I’m the first Colombian to be on this tour. So, I guess there’s always a first time for everything. We’re going across a toll now and in Colombia, motorbikes don’t pay. This might change in the future, so now it’s the time to travel with a motorbike. It’s now time to start descending.

There are only mountains surrounding us. There are several small shops here and there. This is certainly a rural area. As expected, the views are amazing here! It’s beautiful wherever you look! In Japan, mountains look just like big broccolis. Trees cover most part of a mountain,

But here, it’s grass instead and it looks beautiful. Mountains don’t look like giant broccolis. Instead, they are covered with grass. I find it really beautiful. This place seems to be known for wookworking. This is where they do woodworking. These are the shops we fing here. Look how cool Ori looks on that motorbike!

Super cool. If you guys think Ori looks good on that motorbike, leave us a comment down below and hit that “thumg up” button. Time to go in between the cars. Whoa. It’s scary to see the oncoming cars. That guy’s crazy! He has balls. My wish for this motorcycle trip,

Is that you guys feel like you’re traveling with us. The sceneries here are different from those in Japan and of course it’s the same with food. Stay tuned to see what kind of journey this will turn out to be. It won’t be only about riding a bike,

But also about visiting unique places. I’m sure will find things that can only be seen here in Colombia so get ready for that. Oh! Quite a lively place. There are quite a lot of shops. The weather changes very fast. We went up and down a mountain after all.

It feels great driving in the sun. We’ve got all the protection we need for this trip. We’ve got shoulder pads, knees and chest pads, and even pads for our backs. 100% protected. There are so many buildings like this one around here. A very tattered building. Ah! There’s someone living here. Wow!

What a cool place! Wow! Wow, wow, wow, wow! It’s really beautiful! Amazing! So amazing this place. Yeah. This is the place we’re going to be having lunch in a while. And it’s a very rural area on the outside of Medellin and there’s a beautiful waterfall. This is such a nice place.

It’s honestly really nice. Colombia is beautiful. One of my favorite things in Colombia: Green plantain and tomato sauce. This white fish is really good. I’m not sure what fish this is, but it’s good. Here we go. Here we go again. We are going to ride for about 3 more hours before reaching Sonsón,

Which is the place we’re spending the night today. The roads here in Colombia are in pretty good condition, I’d say. Once you get off the city, you find these well-paved roads. I’m pretty surprised to see that because in the city, you know, there is a bunch of holes everywhere.

So it’s not that fun riding. Today we’re going to be riding a little bit off-road. I, personally, haven’t ridden off-road myself. Kaito neither, I guess. Well, in Japan everything is paved. So this is going to be our first time and it’s going to be interesting because it’s been raining

A little bit these last couple of days, so it’s not going to be easy. It’s not going to be easy, but it’s going to be fun. It’s going to be definitely fun. Yes. I guess this is… Welcome to “La Ceja”. So, we have arrived to a town called “La Ceja”.

Not too many people live here. Small houses. Look who’s here. Kaito looks so good on this motorbike. Wow! What a beautiful little town. Look at that. Yeah, like all towns in Colombia… This is the main square. There is a church there and they are like small restaurants, coffee shops.

Wow, it’s very pretty here. “La Ceja”. Who would have thought? I’ve never heard of this town. Ay, ay, ay. That was close. This little town has everything you need. There’s even basketball courts, soccer fields, lots of supermarkets. I mean, this is more lively than Yamaguchi.

Yamaguchi is supposed to be a city and this is a town, but it has way more shops than Yamaguchi. Something unexpected just happened. Ay! He just lost an auxiliary light. But whenever something like this happens, the experts are here to help. Wow! Are you seeing that? Beautiful. What a beautiful view! Amazing.

These mountains in Colombia are beautiful. There’s a bunch of cows down there, horses. So much green around here. It’s amazing. It feels really good to travel in a group. The first time Kaito and I are traveling in a group. It’s usually the two of us touring, so it feels good, yeah.

And for once, we don’t have to worry about where we’re going to spend the night, what we’re going to do tomorrow, where we’re going to eat because these guys from Colombia Moto Adventures have everything covered for us. It’s amazing. The guides we’re with on this tour,

Eddie and Brayan, are super helpful, super kind. I mean, we couldn’t have asked for a better team. We have reached another town. It’s called “La Unión”. There is a lot of people who have these rural houses here. Maybe it’s a popular destination to come from Medellin and spend the weekend here.

I don’t know, but the views are amazing. Hold on! Is that a horse?! A horse being pulled by a motorbike?! I can’t believe I just saw that! My first time seeing that. A horse being pulled by a motrobike! Wow! What a view! Look at this! Did you guys have this image of Colombia?

I definitely didn’t. What a beautiful country! There’s so much of this country that I don’t know. I mean, this is all new territory for me. I guess we’re waiting on the others here. Would you like some fruits or something else? I’m quite full, actually. I’m pretty full. Thank you.

– You can rest for a while. – Okay. We’re stopping here for 5 minutes. Take a rest. They sell fruit here on the road. Some peaches. Nice. This is like traditional sweets.. It looks like raw sugar. Maybe. II’m not sure. Pears, apples, mandarins, mangoes. And we got a little friend here. Hey, doggy.

This is the Colombian convinience store, guys. We’re park here on the side of the road, and guess what’s Kaito’s doing? He’s taking a pee. Ey! This is private. This is my private space. We’re back on the road again. Maybe an hour and a half, still to get to Sonsón.

That lady, the owner of that little shop next to the road was very kind to lend me her bathroom. Hmm. I’m pretty lucky because usually when you get out of the city and on these type of roads, you know, there’s no bathrooms out here.

It’s not like in Japan where you would find a convenience store every a couple of kilometers here. Here, there’s nothing, you know. For the guys, it’s easy. They just have to go on the side of the road. The sun is finally out, guys. There’s barely anyone on this road.

Speaking with the guides a while back, they told me tomorrow we have a long day of off- road. Just a little bit of the path will be paved and then we’re going to have a long day of off-road. That’s going to be my debut. Nice. If you guys know of an off-road terrain,

Of an off-road place in Japan, please let us know in the comments. Now that we have our road motorbikes in Japan, I’ll definitely like to try that over there. Let’s see how it goes here in Colombia and then, I would love to do it in Japan. Look at that. Extreme. Whoa.

This will be impossible with Clubman here. My motorbike would have been dead by now and my butt and everything would have been dead by now. Yeah. I’m happy with this motorbike here. It’s a good one for Colombia, I guess. You know, guys, in Colombia, riders don’t say hi to each other.

I miss that. Japan is great in that way. Wow. So beautiful. Look at that waterfall. I don’t know if you guys can see it, but it’s huge and it’s coming from the top of the mountain. I just missed the sign, but I think we’re finally in Sonsón. I think this is it, guys.

I’m not sure though, but I think we’re arriving. This might be the town of Sonsón. It’s almost 5 p.m. and the weather is changing pretty fast. It looks like it’s going to rain soon. We might be arriving soon, though. There are so many of these speed reducers here in Colombia.

There’s a church here. A bunch of mud. What happened here in this town? Oh my god. Oh, yeah. This is it, guys. Look. Sonsón. It says right there, Sonsón. This is it. Wow, it’s pretty nice. This is a nice town. Whoa. I didn’t expect this town to be that crowded.

There’s a lot of people here. A lot of people. Wow. Wow. Oh, this is the main square. This is it, guys. The main square of Sonsón. Beautiful! Beautiful. These little Colombian towns are beautiful. Okay. This is the hotel we’re staying at. This hotel is called “El Tesoro”. It means “the treasure”.

That’s why there are all kinds of treasures in here. The treasures are divided by categories. There’s a doctor booth, a kid’s toy booth and a military booth. and a military booth. It’s pretty interesting. This is our room. We’re finally here. Uff. We rode for about 6 hours? No, for 5 hours.

– 5 hours? – Yeah. It wasn’t that hard, was it? Yeah. This room is pretty nice. I kind of like the style of this room. The view from here is quite interesting. I really like this hotel’s concept. We have a king size bed, and over here, the toilet and shower.

We’re going to go park these babies. I prefer these small towns over the big cities. Let’s lock this baby. I wasn’t expecting this town to be this crowded. These too many people. Many people. It might be because it’s Saturday. I think that’s why. People from the nearby communities come here on the weekends

And maybe have something to eat and drink. What I still can’t believe is the fact that this place was controlled by the guerilla. It’s amazing. Now is such a peaceful place, you know. People living their lives normally. But, maybe 20 years ago, it wasn’t this way, guys.

I love the way this town was built. There’s a church and in front of it, a park. and around it, some shops and restaurants. It’s the same for every town in Colombia. Every little town is like that. I find it really beautiful. There’s not a single electric cable.

That makes this place so beautiful. It’s true. The music is so loud here. That’s typical of every town in Colombia. I don’t know why. They’re super noisy. The local bus. It takes people and food up these mountains. A little bit too big for this town. Cheers. Cheers, baby. Nachos. With meat.

I wash it down with beer. Good morning, guys. It’s day two of our motorcycle trip around the Colombian coffee region. We are getting ready. Kaito is preparing our water here. Very important. And we’re getting our bags ready over here. We’ve got a tough route ahead today.

We need to start with a good breakfast. Wow. It’s beautiful today. Oh, there’s a bird there. Oh, it will be a perfect day today. Yes. Good morning. Good morning. It’s time to ride. Day 2 of this motorcycle adventure is about to start. We’ll be riding in the middle of nature. Uff.

I’m sure we’ll find places and views we can’t see in Japan. Things we can only experience in Colombia. Stay tuned. Are you ready? Ready. Get ready for this extraordinary adventure. Let’s do this! Let’s go. Okay, here we go. Leaving the parking spot. Today is Day 2 of this motorcycle adventure

Across the Colombian coffee region. We are leaving the town of Sonsón and we’re heading towards the Paramo of Sonsón which is the Colombian tundra. It’s at a higher elevation than what we are right now. Apparently, the views from there are amazing.

We’re going to take a look at a huge canyon from the top. That’s going to be fun. From there, the plan for today is to ride down to the city of Nariño. It’s going to be warmer down there. We’re going to visit some hot springs. That’s where we’re going to have lunch today.

If we have time, we might swim in the hot springs, but if not, later on this trip, we’re going to be visiting more hot springs. So, I’m excited about that. We are going to ride off-road for the first time. Most of the road today is going to be off-road. I think.

I’m excited about it. The destination for today is a town called Pensilvania, which is pretty high in the mountains. About the same elevation as the town of Sonsón where we spend the night last night. I guess it’s going to be chilly at night, just like last night. It’s a beautiful day today. Pff.

I just got something in my mouth. Let’s close this a little bit. Yeah,I was saying… It’s a beautiful day today. Yesterday, when we got here to Sonsón it was cloudy, there was a lot of fog. But today Look at that. The mountains, the sky is almost clear.

We still have a little bit of clouds, but that’s fine. We can see a little bit the sun. It’s not as cold as yesterday. It might get a little bit colder as we climb up the mountains, but then as we descend, it’s going to get hotter. Woho! Let’s go, baby.

Wow! Look at these holes. Okay. Hey buddies. The road here… Mmm It is paved, but we have these parts where it is unpaved. And, honestly, I’m enjoying this, you guys. If I were driving my car, it’d be like “ Oh no, this is bad” “Let’s go slow” “Nice and slow”

But with the motorbike is like “Let’s get in there, baby”. Yeah, look at that. Whoa. And it rained last night, so… It is muddy. Look at Kaito putting his legs up. Whoa. It is muddy, guys. Okay. Another piece of paved road. Oh! Look at these little farms out here.

With the horses and the cows. Oh! Baby horse. Let’s go. It seems like we’re starting to go uphill. Yes. Whoa. Guys, this is so much fun. Wow. Colombia is a paradise for riders. If you guys in Japan have the chance, please visit Colombia. Muah. My beautiful husband is sending me a kiss.

Guys, the views are getting better and better. Look at that. What you see here, I think, is a bunch of avocado trees. It’s a very popular zone for growing avocados. The climate completely changed. As soon as we we went through that curve, Look, everything is covered up.

It was sunny and now it’s foggy everywhere. Look at that. We cannot even see the mountains down there. Wow. Crazy. We’re stopping here. Waiting on everybody, I think. Wow. We can’t see a thing. We were supposed to have stunning views from here The whole canyon, but… This is all we see, guys.

But you can see me, right? Beautiful view, though. This is the group of motorbikes today. All of them. And we’re currently at 2,750 m.a.s.l. I’m making up why these icons are here, the religious icons. And I’m just making it up because I’m not Catholic, but

One good theory is it keeps you from jumping off because you need a priest to give you your last rites. The other thing is just every opportunity to remember God. Yeah, yeah. It makes sense. Yeah, makes sense. So that’s my… Maybe you should ask somebody who actually knows.

Usually, in these high or dangerous places, is very common to find religious icons. Okay. They are a symbol of protection and make people feel safe. Okay. That’d be it. Whoa. The fog is so dense I can barely see in front of me. And now… Why these potholes now?! These potholes.

I need to keep my eyes forward while also watching the ground. This fog is really dense! I can barely see Ori. Whoa. Whoa! Look, guys. I can’t see what’s in front of me. The view would’ve been beautiful if it wasn’t for this fog. But, riding in the middle of this fog

It’s also a fun and unique experience. Shoot! I can hardly see Ori. I have to be careful here. Ori is about 10 meters away from me, but I can’t see the person in front of her. Oh! Oh. The sun is out. Okay. Okay. I can’t believe how fast it changed.

By the way, if I were on my motorbike, the Kawasaki 250TR, and if Ori were on her Clubman GB250, we wouldn’t be able to go on these roads. I don’t think my motorbike could handle these ascents. The descents would be easy peasy, but not the ascents. When it comes to Clubman,

Ori would be tired in just 2 hours because of the vibration. For real, guys. For these long distance trips, is better to have an off-road bike. For an off-road bike, I think a 650cc bike would be cool. The guy in front of Ori is riding a 650cc. He’s riding a Suzuki DR 650.

That’s actually the motorcycle police drive in Colombia Now that the sun is coming out, we can take in the views. Let’s go check them out. This is beautiful. We just got the first views of this huge canyon here because it was completely covered and the fog is coming down here, so

We’re not going to be able to see anything in a couple of minutes. I can hear the sound of a river. There must be a big river down there. What a beautiful place. I couldn’t see anything back there. Not at all. Not at all. But really, not at all. I could see you,

But not the person in front of you. I couldn’t see Jon. Want to live here? They’re selling this land here. Time to roll. Oh my god! A landslide. That’s scary. Those rocks were huge. Whoa. Check that out. Wow. It’d be scary if that falls while driving.

There are many things to pay attention to while driving in Colombia. Landslides, potholes, and of course the mist. Not the mist, but the fog. Wow! Oh my god. Wow! How beautiful. Super beautiful. Really beautiful. Whoa. What a road change! We’re not longer on a paved road. We go off-road from now on. Cool.

Okay. I wasn’t expecting this kind of road. This is Ori’s first time riding off-road. And mine too. Pretty cool. Whoa. Wow. Check this out, guys. I absolutely love riding here. I’m driving next to this big river. It feels great. There’s only space for one car on this road. Ori, you look so cool.

She’s so cool now. What an awesome tour. We’ve been on paved and unpaved roads. Very different from Japan. Okay. We survived our first off-road. Ori is very happy. It’s actually fun riding off-road. I might have become addicted to riding off-road. Colombians are very friendly. They always say hi.

At first, I thought riders don’t greet each other here, but they do. In Japan, most of the times we greet each other. We either do a peace sign or waive our hand, but here… At first, I thought they were warning me about something by honking the horn.

But it turns out they just wanted to greet me. And they do that by honking the horn. How interesting. Riders greet each other differently in each country, but there is always a form of greeting. We’ve arrived to a town. Town? More like a village. We’ve reached a small village.

There are lots of people. Many people and horses. Pretty interesting, huh? A gas stand. A very small gas stand. And just in front, a couple of horses! I wonder why they are here. Why were they waiting there? Wow! There are so many people! What a lively village. Today is Sunday, by the way.

I’m loving the vibe in this place. I hear music coming from different shops. Is this the main square? I guess these are the buses. These buses are way too large for these roads. What a vibrant village! That seems like the local market. Right? Yeah, I think it is. Wow. I see potatoes

Are those carrots? There are a ton of things. Okay. Let’s stop for a while here. Nobody can leave with the bikes park like this. They didn’t think about that? Okay. They’ll be eaten in 2 months. In 2 months? Yeah, in 2 months. We’ve arrived to the small village of Nariño.

What a vibrant place. It might be because it’s Sunday, There’s a local market where ton of things are being sold. Oh my god. He’s peeing. 30 liters there, of pee. That’s how it is in this village. This place is really vibrant. In the small town of Nariño,

We got to visit a coffee grower’s cooperative where they took us on a journey of discovery into the world of Colombian coffee. They showed us how they select and price the finest coffee beans, USD 150 for 44 kg. Only USD 150 and even gave us a taste of their delicious brew. Coffee time.

But did you know that the best coffee often goes abroad, leaving the not-so-good beans behind in Colombia? These are the low-quality beans. And these are the good beans. The not-so-good ones are consumed locally and the good ones… It’s kind of sad. They’re taken abroad. Not only did we learn a lot,

But we also had the opportunity to get hands-on with it. How much do I get pay to do this? Keep going. Really? That’s it. Thank you. Time to go, guys. Bye little donkeys. Our next stop will be the hot springs and that’s where we’re going to have lunch today.

We are at a lower elevation now, so it’s pretty hot here. Woho. Wow! The road! Oh my god. I just wish there were more paths like this in Japan. That would definitely be worth it for an off-road bike. Uff. Look at all this mud. Ooh. Ooh. Oh my god.

A dog on the bike! Ooh. Honey. Whoa. Is that for real? Impressive. There is a “chiva” ahead. This is a “chiva”. And this is basically the local buses here in rural Colombia. This is how people go from one place to another and how they transport food in these regions. We’re stopping for gas.

Even in this place, we can find a gas station. Crazy. Wow. Look at this view. Wow. There’s a river over there. Wow! This mountain is stunning! Wow. “Empanaditas”. Ooh. They’re good. Really good. They’re really good. What’s the secret? Lots of love. Lots of love, yeah. Jon is pretty skilled. Okay.

Those “empanadas” were delicious. I’m ready to take on this off-road. A three-wheeled vehicle here! There was a dog on the back. I wonder how it likes this bumpy roads. Hi there. You look so cool, Ori. There are so many rocks. Whoa. We’ve reached the “mud zone”. I don’t like this at all.

One reason is I don’t have my boots on. And the other is I don’t want to slip. I can’t… I’m getting splattered with mud from Ori. Whoa. Wow. Is that a waterfall ahead? Maybe it’s not a waterfall, but… Oh! Wow. Whoa. The “water zone”. Uy. Uy. If you slip here you’re basically over.

Look. This cliff is very steep. What’s ahead? Wow! Wow. Amazing. There are many more like this around here. Stunning. Monkeys, guys! I’ve never seen these small monkeys. Tarsier monkeys? Wow. They’re super cute. What monkey is it? Wow. Wow. Water again! Uy. Whoa. No way! I rode over some poop!

I rode over horse poop! This is a cacao tree, guys. Cacao. It’s the first time I see one of these. These are cacao beans. These are the ones that turn into chocolate. It doesn’t look good at all. Hey there. There’s traffic on the road. I guess this is what being a cowboy means.

Wow. Pretty cool. Wow. The road just opened up and the view is amazing. Wow. A well-deserved view after that tough off-road course. Guys, I want to know. Have you ridden off-road? This is our first time, but it’s not as tough as I thought it’d be.

Of course, there are harder roads than this one. I’m loving this. It’s so much fun. It’s much more fun than riding on a regular road. This again! Whoa. Shoot. This is bad. I’m in trouble here. This road… Okay. A bus is coming. Not a bus. I meant a truck. Can I go through?

I made it. What I find weird is people on this road… Whoa. Crazy. Whoa. Whoa. I barely fit. If I were going fast, it could’ve been dangerous. So I was saying, I find it weird people ride motorbikes with regular tires on this road. They don’t have off-rode bikes like ours,

Just regular bikes with regular tires. They must slip a lot. I guess they end up getting used to it. The locals here are impressive. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. This is extreme. This road is extreme. Ori went across like it was nothing. Oh. This road is extreme. Uy. Whoa. This again! Uy. Uy. Whoaaa.

Whoaaa. I can’t handle the tires! At all. Ori’s celebrating her win. Her hand flew up. Shoot. I almost fell. We keep on going, guys. On this “deadly” road. It’s tough. What an intense road. Whoa. Ahh. Ahhh. Check out Ori, guys. I’m in trouble! Shoot! That was close! That was close.

What a steep cliff! Shoot! I slipped. That was close. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Extremely rugged! I can’t handle the tires! That was close. I honestly can’t keep my tire straight on the mud. The handle swings from side to side on the mud. I love it.

This is how we greet on the road in Colombia. We’re now riding next to a river. What a beautiful place. Wow. I’m blown away by this place. There’s so much greenery. Wow! Wow. Amazing. Super beautiful. Whoa. I’m loving the thrill of riding on this open road. I’m riding right next to Ori. Wow.

This place is stunning. Shoot! Shoot! That was close. I’ll slip if I leave my guard down. This hot spring is really in the middle of nowhere. Wow. Ah. What a landslide! We’ve arrived. That was a hell of a ride. Okay. We’re here. What a location.

That dirt road is over and we’re now at the hot springs. I’m not that dirty. Am I? I thought it’d be worse. Wow. What a nice place. There’s a river, hot spring pools, a restaurant and hotel. What a beautiful place. It has a rich taste.

It feels quite comfortable, you know, after riding on that off-road for I don’t know maybe 2 to 3 hours already and we still have three more hours of riding. I think it’s going to get dark by the time we reach our hotel. Well, it didn’t last for too long, guys.

We are already on Whoa. This bus. We are already on this off-road again. It’s going to be muddy. It’s going to be wet. It’s going to be fun too. Whoa! Legs up! I’m going to have my master’s in motorcycle riding after this Colombian trip.

I’m definitely going to be a better rider by then. Whoa. It’s gonna be muddy. Ahead, this tuk tuk driver is waiting on us. Whoa. Hold on tuk tuk. Ooh. Whoooaa. Look at that. Look at Kaito. Whoa. My god! Oh man. Oh man. Whoa. I think my pants are wet. Hey buddy. Hello.

I think we’re out of this unpaved road. Oh! The last dip. Whoa. I didn’t see that one coming. Okay. Nice guys. Whoa. Crossing the river. Amazing views. Amazing. Amazing views. Guys, I got to say, this road, it’s probably even more extreme than the one we took this morning.

The amount of rivers we’ve crossed, like small rivers, but, yeah, little ponds the holes we’ve gotten into I mean, like you can not even count. We spent hours riding along twisting roads. The scenery was breathtaking, but just as we thought we had conquered the road, the heavens opened up,

And we were drenched by a deluge of rain. This off-road and now raining. Crazy! The downpour was relentless, and we were soon soaked to the bone. Despite the difficulties, we pushed on, determined to complete our journey. It was an adventure like no other, filled with unexpected twists and turns. And then it happened

My bike slipped out from under me, and I crashed to the ground. Yep, it was my first motorcycle crash ever. I just fell off the bike. My first time falling off the bike. I guess there’s always a first time. And it happened right there. This is hard, guys.

What’s the best way to go? Which way? This way. Go boo! Go, go, go, go, go. Go boo. Go, go. Woho. I did it. Go, go, go. Oh man. Nice. Good job. I’m proud of you, boo. I’m proud of you. As the rain continued to beat down on us,

We had no choice but to keep moving forward. The conditions were treacherous, but the thrill of the adventure was palpable. We were completely soaked, but nothing could dampen our spirits. We were living for the moment and experiencing the thrill of the ride. This is an adventure like no other.

Today is what an adventure looks like. Riding in the rain, crossing mountains, and falling off the bike. Despite that, we kept on going. What an adventure. Say hi. Hello. Hello. For YouTube. Hello. You’ll appear on YouTube. We finally made it to the hotel. We have even a jacuzzi tonight

Which will be great for relaxing. And there’s a lot of clothes we need to dry. Especially our shoes. They are soaking wet, you guys. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers. Do you remember? “Up, down, center and in”. That was strong. It’s raining cats and dogs. – Hello – Good evening

Guys, if I learned something today is wear protection when riding off-road. It’d had been bad without that. It was challenging riding in the rain but that’s all part of the adventure. Exactly. Tomorrow will be another adventure, guys. Good morning, guys. It’s Day 3 of this motorcycle trip around the Colombian coffee region.

The problem is Today, it is pouring out here. It hasn’t stopped raining since last night. Beautiful mountains. Everybody’s buying boots. Even Eddy and Brayan. Lisa got her boots. Kaito doesn’t want to buy the boots. Everyone’s buying a pair because it’s raining. I think we don’t need them, but everyone’s buying a pair.

Because our shoes are wet. – Okay. – Please, Kaito. Okay. Okay, let’s buy it. Sorry for all the mess. Don’t worry about it. – It’s my pleasure – Thank you Your welcome. Thank you. Have a nice day. We are all geared up. That lady really drove the business for the day.

We bought 6 pairs in total. Kaito’s rocking his new “Colombian style”. It’s like a farmer. Locals ride their bikes with boots like these. That’s right. There’s no need to put our feet up anymore. It stopped raining and it’s time to leave. But, it might rain again since we’re going up the mountains.

That’s why we’re wearing our rain gear. It was dark when we got here yesterday, so we couldn’t show you around. It’s a small town structured like other Colombian towns. There’s a church, a park in the middle and around it, restaurants and hotels. It’s a small town at the top of a mountain.

Look at Ori in her rain gear. All set and ready. She’ll stay dry riding in the rain. Oh, honey. Thank you. Thank you. That’s very kind of him. Bye, thank you. Let’s go. Check out this town. Lovely, isn’t it? Pensilvania. There’s a state with the same name in the US.

It’s interesting that on both sides of the road, there are houses tightly packed together. That’s typical in Colombian towns. Our goal for today is to reach Salamina. To get there, we’ll be riding for 1.5 hours on paved roads across the coffee region. We’ll then take an off-road trail up the mountains.

We’re going pretty high. We’re going to be driving through a high-altitute ecosystem. The views seem to be stunning from there, so we’ll go check them out. We’re headed that way now. I can’t wait. It’s a really small town. Right after exiting, you get see the surrounding mountains. Wow. Nature and mountains here…

I can’t see the top of the mountain. There’s heavy fog. There’s really heavy fog. And it’s drizzling. It’s just a light rain. I’m rain-ready, no worries. I’m glad we bought the boots. They cost about JPY 1,500. *USD 10 Cheap, right? We might only use them for this motorbike trip. Definitely worth it though.

We still have 5 days ahead. Today is day 3. Today… Ooh. It’s going to be a fun day today. Yesterday’s trails were quite challenging for me. It was my first time riding on that kind of road. My first time riding off-road. It was a rugged off-road trail.

I felt like I was in a real enduro competition. The rain was pouring on me directly. Water was running down the road and we were going up. And on one of those uphills, Ori and Lisa fell off their motorbikes. It was quite a fall. Ori was riding in front of me

And I got to see the moment her bike slipped. She slipped and fell. I was quite scared at that moment. Everyone was wearing protection, so nothing bad happened, but Ori slightly hurt her leg. Whoa. It won’t stop raining. It’s been raining non-stop since yesterday. Non-stop. Last night, when we went out for dinner

It was raining cats and dogs. The guy at the restaurant last night, told us the rain would stop in 2 hours and not to worry about today, but it’s been raining non-stop. Honestly, I don’t want any more rain. It’s okay for now since we’re riding on a paved road,

But it’ll only last for 1.5 hours. We’re riding off-road after that. It won’t be easy riding in the rain. It’ll be just like yesterday. It’ll be a challenge. I wonder why people choose to live in these places. It’s a mystery to me. I was talking with Jon and the two guides yesterday,

And told them people in Japan don’t live in the mountains. They usually live in the valleys. But in Colombia, people do live in the mountains. Very high in the mountains. Whoa. Look! Those cows are roaming freely! Whoa. We’ve got heavy fog, guys. I can’t see down there. What a heavy fog!

It started with rain today. Let’s see what kind of adventure today turns out to be. Guys, what type of bike suits Ori well? She’s now riding an XRE 300. Let us know in the comments what off-road bike you guys recommend Ori. Oh, shoot. Potholes. These potholes. These potholes are something else.

The rain is picking up. Woho. What an awesome view! Whoa, whoa, whoa. What happened here? Oh no. There’s a huge landslide. It’s a bunch of mud. Trees. I don’t know if we’re going to be able to do it, because I’m not ready to drive through the mud.

I’m just glad we bought these boots. Yeah, it’s true. Oh my God. I can maybe crawl up that mud. It’s a terrible landslide completely blocking the road. We might be able to get our bikes across. Can you give me a push? Be careful, the tire might slip. Amazing! Yeah! Awesome. Four more.

Five more. But at least we can get through. Bike number two going. My bike’s coming. Thank you. Your welcome. Drinks are on us tonight. Thank you so much. Thank you. Look at those tires. Man! They’re muddy. Well, we made it out of that landslide,

And now there’s a bunch of mud on our tires. We need to go slow from here on. Hello. These guys from Colombia Moto Adventures are really the best. I mean, they’re super kind, super helpful. Whenever we fall off the bike, they’re right there to help you up.

I mean, they’re prepared for anything that happens on this road. We even got across that landslide. I’m so glad we came with Colombia Moto Adventures and we couldn’t recommend them more. Hopefully, we won’t find any more landslides on the road. We’ll see how it goes. And hopefully no more rain either.

I got to say, I’m super happy we bought these boots. I wanted to buy them, Kaito didn’t want to buy them. I’m so glad we did. I couldn’t imagine walking on my sneakers on that mud, trying to go across that landslide. I’m so happy. 50,000 pesos, totally worth it. *USD 10 Wow.

This landscape. Wow. Amazing. I can’t see a thing, but the water is coming in because it’s raining a little bit. Wow. Colombia, you’re freaking beautiful, man! I love this place. This view. Amazing. Look at those mountains, all green. With the fog. Wow. Beautiful. Pure water from the mountain.

This woman is living up here. Wow. Lots of hens. The view is amazing, yeah. That’s for sure. Ooh. Ooh. Man, that was slippery. I almost fell there. Hey, little cows. One of the main industries in this region of Colombia is cattle. So that’s why we see a lot of cows

On this side of the mountains. And of course, coffee as well. There are big coffee plantations around this area. Look! Pure water coming out of the mountain. That’s amazing. Beautiful. Thank you. Wow. Super strong waterfall. Plus, it’s been raining, so it’s pretty big.

The road is much drier now on this side of the mountain. Maybe it stopped raining earlier. I don’t know. I just said that and look. Still muddy up here. Wow. That waterfall. I don’t think you guys can see it on the GoPro but it’s amazing. Woohoo Wooh. I almost fell there.

That was a close one. There’s people living out here, guys. You know, I remember when we were traveling in Japan to these rural places, you know, you barely see people out there. And out of nowhere, you see one house and there’s usually elderly people living there.

And I was wondering how they manage to live out there, for the grocery shopping, stuff like that. And now, I come here to Colombia and I visit these places. Ooh. And I visit these places, you know. People living out here. You see the conditions of the road and you wonder really,

Why do they choose to live in such extreme conditions? And how do they do it? You know, when they have to go grocery shopping. There’s no cable car out here. All they have is a motorbike or a horse. Maybe the closest supermarket is hours away. Wow. Those people are real adventurers. Wow.

The view. There’s even a small path going all the way to the top of the mountain. It’s crazy. And back there, we can see the wax palms, which are the tallest in the world. Wow. Amazing. Woho. Woho. That was fun. There’s poop, there’s mud, all mixed together.

We’re riding on mud and poop, guys. Woho. This is extreme. I’m so glad we bought these boots. This is nuts! Absolutely nuts! It’s like going across a river. Whoa. Whoa. I have zero control over the front tire. Water is splashing all over the bike. What an adventure. I’m glad it’s not raining anymore.

This trail is already challenging enough as it is. There’s a stream ahead! Are we going across it? That’s nuts. It’s quite a sizable stream! Whoa. Wow. A stream, waterfall and a chasm on the left! Plus, we’re climbing now. Too much going on at once. Okay. Ori! Oh. A foal here? Amazing. Adorable.

Hi there. Wow. Adorable. It seems we’ve arrived to a town. The horses are welcoming us. It looks like a small town. I love these colorful Colombian towns. These jeeps are quite common around here too. This place is super colorful! I’m loving it here. Wow. Is this the main square?

Yeah, I believe it is. Everyone’s wearing a poncho because it gets cold here. Look at me. Oh my God. They look so great. Grab this handsome man! You can go check the wool processing mill. You can go in. Okay. Where? It’s over there. This is such a peaceful town. A very colorful place.

I loved seeing the elderly in ponchos, taking it easy. Hello. Good afternoon. – Thank you – Your welcome – Have a nice day – Thank you, you too Chocolates for everybody. It’s time to leave this colorful town. Time to get going. What a lovely town. Lovely place. What a steep slope! Wow.

What a view! Unbelievable views! And it’s lovely to see the animals wandering freely. I’m might be the happiest person alive now. What a great feeling! There are quite a lot landslides in this area. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Okay. Whoa. Unbelievable! We’re quite high up now. Is this view even real?

The view has opened up and it’s stunning. Are you guys seeing this?! All I can see is mountains and greenery. Plus, the world’s tallest palm trees. The wax palm. A few houses here and there. Wow. What an amazing view! I’m genuinely impressed by Colombia. Wow. Check that out!

The typical black and white cows are everywhere. The paved road didn’t even hold up for 30 minutes. We’re again on an off-road trail. The views here are spectacular. It’s been only 30 minutes since leaving the town and look at how dense the fog is here. And, of course, we’re still riding off-road. Whoa.

I can’t see anything down there. Everything is shrouded in fog. Look at how dense the fog is. And this mud. Whoa. It looks tough. And very slippery. Wooh. Woho. Whoa. I almost fell. We are arriving. We made it to our hotel. There’s no rain, luckily.

The bikes will sleep well tonight in the parking. Yesterday, they had to sleep outside because nobody wanted to get wet to park bikes. Everything’s so clean and we’re so dirty. Wow. So gorgeous, here. Look at this. We made it. We survived another day of off-roaf. It was so much fun. Yeah.

And, we didn’t fall today. Well, Kaito didn’t fall yesterday, but I did. Today But I slipped so many times. I almost fell a couple of times. It was a lot of fun, guys. We’re going to relax for a little. This is the best hotel so far. Yeah. Cheers. Cheers, my friends. Cheers. Cheers.

Cheers. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers. Good morning, guys. It’s day four of our motorcycle trip around the Colombian coffee region. We’re lucky today because Oops Because it’s not raining. Yesterday, we had heavy rain from the morning. So today it’s going to be a wonderful day. Just got to put some sunscreen on

Before heading on for breakfast. Where’s breakfast? Good morning. Good morning. Time to get going, guys. We’re lucky there’s no rain at all today. We’re going to go and see this wax palm valley. We have to go Hmm, we have to take the route we took yesterday to come here.

About an hour and a half from here. Yesterday, we couldn’t see it because it was super cloudy. It was raining. But today we’re going to go there, visit it and then we’re going to go down to Manizales. And we’re going to stay at a hot springs hotel there. It is a beautiful place

And I’m looking forward to that hot spring bath. This is a beautiful town, Salamina. I don’t know why there are no tourists here in Salamina. It is really beautiful and it wasn’t that cold. Most of the road today is going to be paved. We are going down to the valley,

So that part will be maybe mud, some rocks. It rained yesterday so it’s going to be a dirt road. And then the road down to Manizales is going to be fully paved. It’s a little bit of a rest, a little bit of a change because yesterday and the day before yesterday, we had

Most of the time it was the roads were unpaved. Wow. These mountains on the right side are huge, man. And there are houses up there. I mean, I think the only way you can get there is by horse or if you have a motorbike. Look at that. Wow.

You see that lady on the horse? Yeah, that’s the only way out of there. Look at those guys. They have mattresses, they have I don’t know. I think these are the people that live up here and they bring all of this for their families. Wow. That bike is loaded.

I don’t know how they make it up this road. We’re being stopped. There might be a landslide or something. They’re cleaning up the road. Okay. We can go now. Oh yeah. This bulldozer is working here. Oh doggie. Move, move. These dogs. Attacking. Bye doggies. Oh my God. Oh my God.

This is the first time the dogs come barking at us. They’re usually super chill. Hello. Whoa. More mud. It is muddy. Where there’s mud, I’m always like ”Do not fall, do not fall!” It’s been about 30 minutes since we left the hotel. We’ve been climbing for the most part

And everything is covered by dense fog now. Since it was sunny when we left the town, we talked about going to see the wax palm trees, but, we might not be able to see them after all. The weather changes fast up here. Look! I can’t see anything. I can’t see anyting down there.

It’s better than yesterday though. We had heavy rain and fog yesterday. Today, it’s only drizzling. Whoa. A cow here?! Out of nowhere! I’ve actually come across signs indicating to be cautious of cows. Now I know why. Cows walk freely here, so we got to be careful. There are lots of cows!

They are all looking this way. As if wondering what’s interesting about riding a bike. There are so many of them. There are so many cows! It started raining once again. We’ll put our raincoat on and depart again. Whoa. Mud, baby. This one looks tricky. Kaito, go! Whoa. Whoa. Woho! Mud party, baby! Yeah!

Hold on. Hold on. Wow. Sometimes, I get too focused on the mud that I forget to look at these palm trees. Whoa. Wow. They’re huge! And they’re beautiful. Look at that. Whoa. I’ll catch you, baby. Wow. Wow, wow, wow. These are the tallest trees in the world. They grow perfectly straight.

They’re about 27 meters tall. That’s about 9 floors. That’s pretty high. What a beautiful scenery! A vegetable soup. Everything I needed after those mojitos last night. Argh It rains again. Okay. It’s still raining but we’re hitting the road anyways. Let’s go. Okay. We’re taking the same road back. We’re going… Hmm

Where was it? We’re going to the hot springs hotel. The same road as before. But now, it has started raining, so I don’t know what it’ll be like. Let’s roll. The adventure starts now! Thank you. Whoa. It’s slippery! Okay. Whoo hoo! Yeah! Yes. Yes, yes, yes. And I crashed to the ground. Oh.

Are you alright? Yeah. This was not even to fall. My pants got ripped because of the wire. Are you okay? Yeah, I’m okay. Thank you. Because of the fall, the gear won’t shift. Okay. They fixed it. Whoa. Wow. Wow. Look, guys. Wow. Whoa. Shoot! You did it, honey! Whoa.

Is this where we stayed last night? No, it’s not. What are you doing? As we departed from the town, a sudden downpour caught us off guard. The visibility was severely limited, with thick fog enveloping our path. Adding to the challenge, we found ourselves entering an active landslide zone. Despite the demanding conditions

we forge ahead, determined to outpace the relentless rain. It’s really slippery here. Look at this landslide! Wow. Here we go. Whoa. Another slippery area. Ooh. Whoooa. Shoot! I’m in trouble! That was close. Watch out! Hi there. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. It has finally stopped raining. Okay.

I’m still not quite used to driving on muddy terrain. I slip a lot. Whoa. What were those birds? Those were huge birds. We’re now heading to the hot springs. We’re going to the hot springs hotel to shake off the tiredness from the past 4 days. Now that the rain stopped

And we’re on this paved road, I’ve got this odd desire to do more off-road riding. We can find this type of road anywhere, right? Japan included. But the offroad trails we’ve been riding through in the rain with the ascents and descents, can not be found in Japan.

There are no muddy trails in Japan, and no roads similar to the ones here either. These roads are so much fun. I want to ride on more off-road trails. I’ve learned so much from this trip. Now I know what I really need to bring on my next motorcycle trip.

I’m so happy to have joined this trip. I really want an off-road bike now. I think a 650cc would be quite big. Maybe a 300cc, just like this one. But, I’m quite tall. I’m 183cm tall, so the crash bars on this bike brush against my knees.

I’d need a bike with a higher seat. We’ve got to start looking for the right bike for our trip across the Americas. Guys, I slipped so many times today. I’m confident I’ll be riding off-road a lot more now, but I have to admit I’ve come close to falling so many times.

Frequent slipping is to be expected here, and since we’re wearing protective gear, we’ve been fine even after we fall. The worst that has happened is that Ori’s shift gear got bent, but it was fixed right at the spot where it happened. Pretty amazing. It’s reassuring to have someone who can fix these things.

I’ve learned so many things from the guides. They told me to always carry a spare clutch lever. The same goes for the brake and throttle cables. I’ve really learned a lot. I’ll remember it, not just for crossing the Americas, but for our trip around Japan too.

I’m still in awe of how breathtaking those palm trees were. I can’t take that view out of my head. Really beautiful. This place is also stunning. I’ve gotten used to these views after 4 days of riding, but when I think about it, we’re lucky to experience such stunning scenery.

Are we again on an off-road trail? This unpaved road popped up out of nowhere. And, of course, it’s wet. Whoa. Okay, okay. Okay, okay Ori. Okay. It doesn’t typically rain during this time of the year, but it has rained every single day. Maybe except the first day.

It’s been raining ever since the 2nd day. There’s a light rain even now. It’s here again! Off-road once more! Whoa. What a huge landslide! Colombia’s a wild ride! I’m still amazed by the number of landslides we’ve seen. Keep in mind we’ve only seen a fraction of the country.

Guys, in two years of driving a motorbike in Japan I’ve never fallen off of it. And now, in Colombia four days of riding motorbikes and I’ve fallen twice. Of course it’s not the same, right? We’ve been riding off-road, unpaved roads. It’s a full of adventure, you know.

In Japan, we’ve only ridden on paved roads. And, you know, I think now, that I fell off the bike and I know that it’s okay, you know, that I didn’t get hurt. I’m not scared anymore, you know. Of course because it wasn’t bad, you know.

It was just a fall and I didn’t hurt myself. It would have been different, you know like Kaito when he had that accident in Japan. It was pretty bad, so of course, is not It’s not easy to forget about it and then just be okay with it.

I was just remembering how last year we were traveling in Japan by motorbike and we went to Mount Daisen. And I remember thinking how crazy that road was, you know. The curves. They were pretty hard. And now that we’re traveling here in Colombia, is like, well, that’s normal here.

Everywhere you go, it’s like that. We’re going to take a break. That was a long ride. Are you tired? Just a bit. That hot spring is going to be so good tonight. My God. We deserve it. That’s where we’re going. Manizales. It’s actually not far from Cali, you know.

It’s about, maybe 4 hours. Really? Give or take, yeah. I’m having a “Milo”. It started raining once again. I’m surprised they serve “Milo” here. In Japan, you wouldn’t be able to order it at a restaurant. Here, it’s sold everywhere. Traffic is crazy. We got caught in the rush hour. Whoa. This is nuts.

It doesn’t move at all. We really got caught in the rush hour. Argh. Lots of cars are coming this way, so there’s probably a big city up ahead. Gosh. Shortly after that, the cars began to move and we rode along beautiful green roads. There was hardly any traffic and we made amazing time.

It took us only 15 minutes to get to our hotel. Just kidding! This is Colombia… Nothing went as planned. Let me tell you what really happened. About 15 minutes after the first roadblock, another traffic jam threw a wrench in our plans. Another traffic jam! And it’s a big one!

As if that wasn’t enough, the rain started pouring down once again and we were soon stranded in yet another landslide. At that moment, the only thing that kept us going was the desire to soak in the hot springs. An hour later, just right after sunset, we finally made it to our hotel. Finally!

We’ve arrived. Whoa. Wow. Home for the next two days. This is where we’ll stay the next 2 nights. There are 2 double beds in this large room. We might get some work done, but we’ll mostly rest. Over here we have… We’ve got a safe and because it was raining on the way here,

We hung out our rain gear to dry here. There’s a large mirror along with the shower and toilet. Are you having a mojito? Yeah. Oh God. It’s good. So, what’s your opinion about this Colombian sushi? Is it good? Really? It’s really good. You won’t find this taste in Japan. No. Good morning, guys.

It’s Day 5 of this motorcycle trip around the Colombian coffee region. It’s almost six in the morning. We’re having an early start today since we’re going up a volcano. We’re leaving the hotel now. It’s raining, unfortunately, and it’s foggy,

So I don’t know if we’re going to be able to take a look at the volcano and the view from the top. It’s going to be cold, guys, today. We’re going to go up to 4000 meters above sea level. Maybe even a little bit higher today. My gloves are wet from yesterday,

So I don’t know how that’s going to go. But anyway, I mean, we’re here. This is a once in a lifetime experience, so I guess we’re going anyway. On the way to the top, there is a natural hot spring. It’s called ”El Sifón”. Hot Springs “El Sifón”. And it’s basically

Kind of a river flowing down the mountain. A hot spring river. I looked at some pictures yesterday and it looks absolutely stunning. There’s nothing there. It’s a natural place. Yeah, there are no bathrooms, there’s no place where you can put your clothes on or put your bathing suit on. Basically just nature,

The hot springs and you. So, Um. So yeah, I’m still not sure whether I’m going in or not because I mean, I would love to go in, but after that, we’re heading to the volcano. So, it’s going to be cool, you know, getting out of the hot springs,

Getting dressed there, it’s going to be freezing. So I’m still not sure whether I’m going to do it or not. We’ll see there. I guess I’ll decide once I’m there. The volcano we’re going to today, is called “Nevado del Ruiz”. It is an active volcano,

And it’s actually the reason of one of the biggest tragedies here in Colombia. In 1985, that volcano erupted. It destroyed a whole town, a whole city, Armero. Many, many, many people died. The government was blamed for it because they ignored the signs of activity of the volcano.

It’s a big tragedy and that volcano is still active. And that’s the one we’re visiting today. Last night we arrived here in Manizales. It’s a big city here in Colombia. We got to spend the night at this beautiful hot spring hotel. And there are actually many hot springs around this area

Because of the volcano, right? ”Nevado del Ruiz”. Morning rush hour. Let’s go. Awesome. Bye. 50 cc! That’s cool. That’s cool. Oh! Water’s pouring down that mountain! Man! It’s raining, but we keep on going. Colombia is extreme. I think we’ve had rain every single day. Maybe except for the first one.

And again, traffic jam. Oh! There was an accident. What happened here? Maybe there was an accident. Oh, my God! This tree fell. Oh, my God. This is crazy. Well… Surprise, surprise. The road is completely blocked. Thanks Boo. Colombia, you’ve given us surprises every single day. Man. Keep an eye out. Oh, yes.

You’ve got to be careful. This guy is cutting the tree with a machete. Maybe the other one. Oh, yeah. That one’s dangerous, yeah. That’ll be on the way back. Yeah, exactly. Get ready. The tree isn’t too tough to cut through. Whoa. It’s a soft tree. Okay. I guess we’re good to go.

What an experience. We keep on climbing. This weather is crazy, honestly. Oh, my God. We’re just hoping for it to get better, but I don’t think it’s going to change. Look. This land is falling apart. Landslides are pretty common here in Colombia. Especially now.

I mean, it isn’t supposed to be a rainy month, March. The rainy season is supposed to start in April, but somehow everything’s changing, so, it is raining every single day. We’re stopping again. I’m so glad we’re on our bikes because look at all these cars here.

It’s going to be another landslide, for sure. For sure. Look at that. Wow! Another huge tree! This is crazy. Look at that. Oh, no! Where’s the machete guy? We’re out of luck. This is the second landslide and I’m sure it’s not the last one. The road’s completely blocked.

This mountain could continue to slide. What are we going to do? We’re not getting out of this one by cutting the tree. There’s mud all over the road. No clue how long we’ll be here. Watch out! 1, 2, 3 Well done. That’s our guy from Colombia Moto Adventures.

We need you to cut here. Over here. There? Yeah, to finish cutting this branch. Be careful! That one might fall as well, you know. Ah, that one. Any time. Yeah. We’re good to go, guys. Okay. We did it. Good to go. Oh, these trucks and buses, are never getting out of here.

Fingers crossed there’s not going to be another one. Okay, let’s go! We’re getting something hot to drink, and rest for a bit. The rain is coming down hard. We’re having hot chocolate. It looks like a soup. We’re climbing. We’re at the top now. I think this is paramo.

This is tundra, the Colombian tundra, guys. The sky, actually, is clearing up a little bit. There are not as many clouds as there were down there. So, this is a good sign, I think. Whoa! It’s beautiful up here. Awesome. Wow! Look at that! My hands are cold, but I mean, who cares.

We’re having fun. You have to take some quick pictures. It’s worth it. Yeah. That right there is the snow-capped volcano. It’s so cold I can barely feel my hands. Yeah. But I’m not shaking because of that, but from excitement. It’s beautiful here. It’s like Iceland. Okay. Let’s go now.

This is the volcano that erupted in 1985. As a result, the nearby city of Armero was completely destroyed. More than 20,000 people died in this tragedy. It is the second-largest volcanic tragedy in the world. This volcano is still active today. This view! I’m actually feeling a little short of breath.

We’re at an altitude of around 4,000 meters, so I’m feeling a bit short of breath. Wow. These views are stunning! Absolutely stunning! I’m feeling emotional right now. Just amazing. Amazing. I’ve never seen anything like this. Never before have I cried while taking in a view like this. It’s amazingly beautiful. Wow! Look! Wow.

There’s a waterfall right to my left. Amazing. Ohh WOW. Wow. Crazy beautiful. The rocks you see here are actually formed from lava. They were formed after the lava solidified. And now a waterfall flows over the rocks. The rocks on this side were also formed from lava. Wow.

I’m so glad I made it here today. It was worth the early wake-up, and riding in the rain. We’re actually so lucky. Normally, rain like this would result in total cloud cover and limited visibility. I’m so happy now. Really happy. Whoooa. What a view! This view is absolutely stunning!

I can’t believe my eyes! Is this view even real? I’m so happy I could burst into tears. Whooa. What is this place? I can’t believe such stunning views actually exist. Whoa. Potholes! There are no trees, just low vegetation. These cacti-like plants are everywhere. Amazing! Nature is absolutely amazing! Hi there. Oh, my God.

Oh. So beautiful. Mud. There’s not a day without mud. Hello. There’s kind of a river, but a hot spring river. Maybe about 2 to 3 minutes down this mountain and we’ll be there. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of mud, which is great. Chocolate. Thanks. Your welcome.

You can really smell the sulfur. It smells like rotten eggs. Wow. Look at all that steam! It’s warming up my boots. Yeah, it’s true. Wow. We’re now heading to a hot springs hotel. It’s only about a 20-minute ride from here. Let’s go. It’s really muddy. Whoa. Huge truck. It can barely go through.

Whoa. Ori barely fits there. We had stunning views until a while ago, but now everything’s covered by fog. Okay. We’ve arrived. Thank you. It is hot. Okay, good. Oh, nice. It’s been a while since I last took a dip in a hot spring. It feels great. What an amazing experience.

It’s incredible you can actually handfeed hummingbirds. Look at the hummingbirds. Great experience. Absolutely. They’re beautiful. I couldn’t be happier. This hot spring was great. We’re now going back to our hotel. Thank you. Safe ride. Thank you. Okay. Whoa. Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. We’re off to a good start.

Is there another landslide ahead? Whoa. Unbelievable. Whoa. Another ride, another landslide. Jon, are you ready? Take it slow, Jon. Slow. Slow. Slow. Keep going! Keep going! He’s stuck! You’ll have to pull it out. Try pushing it forward. Rescue. You’ve got this, guys! Come on guys! Come on! You’ve got this! Come on! One

Two, three. Pull together. You’re almost there. We can finally go through. We can finally move ahead. We were stucked for about 1.5 hours. Maybe even for 2 hours. It’s now completely dark. Whoa. Okay. We made it across! Flat tire. What a day. These guys managed to change

The inner tube in just 30 minutes. That’s pretty fast! Amazing! We made it to our hotel. We left at 6 AM. We rode for about 12 hours. What a great day. We made it! See you tomorrow! Good night. Good night. Good night. Good night. Good morning, guys.

Is Day 6 of this motorcycle trip around the Colombian coffee region, we are at this beautiful hot spring hotel in the city of Manizales and we’re getting ready to leave the hotel. But first, breakfast. Good morning. Okay. We’re leaving the hotel now. So far, no rain,

Which is great, but it’s kind of cloudy, so I don’t know if it’s going to rain later. I mean, for sure it’s going to rain. Today we’re going to drive for about 5 hours up to El Jardin, which is a beautiful Colombian town,

About 4 hours away from Medellin, which is where we started this crazy adventure. Today, it’s going to be… 50% of the road is going to be unpaved and 50% is going to be paved, starting with the paved part. We’re going to go to Rio Sucio first, which translates literally into “dirty river”.

And it’s going to be nice and warm. And after that, we’re going to go uphill to El Jardin and it’s going to be unpaved. And it’s going to be probably a little bit colder, but not as cold as here in Manizales. We’ll see. It’s going to be a fun ride.

In order to get to El Jardin and Rio Sucio first, we need to go across Manizales city. Maybe it will take us about 30 minutes to get across the city. I don’t think there’s going to be a lot of traffic jump right now since it’s maybe about 11 in the morning.

I think it’s going to be fine. But, you know, it’s still a big city, so you never know. Let’s see how it goes. Traffic is not as bad as I was expecting it to be. I mean, I think we’re not going like literally to downtown Manizales. So it’s fine.

We’re just taking some roads on the outskirts of the city, I think. They’re pretty big, they’re pretty large. Yeah, it’s not really bad. By the way, all of my gear from yesterday is wet. My gloves are soaking wet, even my helmet is wet inside.

So I hope at least my gloves will get dry while driving.. We’ll see how that goes. We are now driving on what’s called here in Colombia, ‘The coffee highway’. And I definitely know why. The mountains there on the left are completely covered with coffee trees,

And also banana trees and plantain trees as well. It is absolutely beautiful. 50? What is this 50 thing here? Ah, the speed we’re going at. This is one of the advantages of being on a motorbike. You don’t have to pay the tolls here in Colombia. We’ve got the ‘speed pass’. Awesome.

74 kilometers to Rio Sucio. Here we go. I guess we’re having lunch there then. Woho! Wow! This road. Driving a motorcycle makes me feel so free. Wow. It’s not the same, really. It’s not the same traveling on a bike or with a car.

Today has been the day that I’ve been able to enjoy the most the views. Not because there are the best, but because just because we’re riding on this beautiful paved road and I’m able to give most of my attention to the views and not to the rocks and the holes and the mud

That’s coming in front of us. You wanna have lunch here or in Rio Sucio? Rio Sucio is still more than an hour away. Okay, let me ask them. Do you guys want to have lunch now or in Rio Sucio, which is an hour away from here? How about a coffee?

Let’s have coffee here and lunch in Rio Sucio. We’re doing a quick stop here, maybe have some coffee. And just go to the bathroom, and then keep riding to Rio Sucio. Okay. Eddy and Brayan, our super guides. Welcome. Supermen. Thank you. Okay. Time to get going.

It started with coffee, but we ended up having lunch too. I’m full now. It’s really hot! The weather is so different from yerterday’s. I guess it’s because we descended from the mountain. It’s sunny and there are no clouds. Great. It feels great driving here. We haven’t been on paved roads in a while.

And the sun is finally up. It’s a great day. I actually had a lot of lemonade. I got all the vitamins I needed. Now I’m ready to take on the fun. Oh, that’s scary. He’s dangerous. Look how dangerous he is! We’ve started going uphill. There’s sugar cane scattered around.

I’m curious if it’s owned by someone or if it’s a wild crop. It’s actually everywhere. And it’s a pretty tall plant. The weather seems to be taking a turn for the worse. What a winding road! There are houses even out here. And of course, horses walking on the road.

It’s actually quite chilly now. This is all sugar cane. Wow. That mountian is beautiful. Really beautiful. Really? There’s a guy cycling uphill! All along this steep road, there are houses. On both sides of the road. What an interesting place to build. Oops! It started drizzling! I have a bad feeling.

The conditions have changed since a while back. The road was large and it was hot. Now, the road is narrow, it’s cold and we keep climbing. It’s still great fun. An off-road trail! Out of the blue! An off-road trail out of the blue! Great. But this trails is not wet.

Not at all. Maybe it didn’t rain here. Okay, okay. It’s easy to ride. Definitely easier than yerterday’s trail. This level of off-road is now easy for me. An oncoming car would be trouble. Riding off-road is so much fun! I absolutely love it! Whoa. Look how thin and straight these trees are.

What are these? The cows are blocking the way. They are really blocking the way. Hi there. Sorry to disturb you guys. I can’t believe how much I’m loving these off-road trails. Is that a hiker? No, I’m wrong. Maybe a horse owner. I meant cow owner. A muddy trail. Wow. So beautiful.

Me or the view? You, honey, of course. Okay. Let’s go. What a nice place. I absolutely love soaking in these unique views. It seems it might start raining anytime now, so we’re now wearing our rain pants. This trail would still be fun in the rain. This off-road trail.

So I’m okay even if it rains. Yes! Abyss! That was close! Just imagine if I had fallen there. That was quite the abyss. That was really close. I‘ve got to be careful. I’ll be in trouble if I lower my guard. Shoot. Oncoming cars can be trouble. Whoa. Pothole. Whoa! Car coming!

Oncoming cars are definitely trouble. It’s better not to go too fast. Whoa. More mud! More mud, guys! That was slippery! We got fully suited up for the rain. The rocks are becoming increasingly slippery. This will be fun. Woho! WO HO! WOO HOO! WOOOW YES! Yes, yes! This part seems challenging. We did it!

Woho!! Yes. The downpour is heavy now. It’s raining heavily! It’s slippery. Let’s go. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! There’s nothing as fun as riding in the rain. Okay. The rain is intensifying. I’m enjoying every moment of it. Whoa. Whooa. Okay. Break. Well done! Excellent! Excellent! Thank you. Goodbye, ride safe. An umbrella.

Are you ready, honey? Ready. Here we go. Okay. It stopped raining. Nice. We made it to our hotel. Okay. Welcome to our room. This hotel is environmentally friendly. There is a lot of greenery decorating this hotel. The room is open and airy. Since this is not a cold place… It’s not cold, right?

It’s not. It’s perfect for open spaces like this one. We’ve got our room over here. There’s a king-size bed a shower and toilet over there. And a hammock here. It’s great. Plus the view. I mean, I want to stay here for at least a week. I’d love to live here.

Stay here for a while, work, and visit nearby places on our bikes. I’d love that. It’s our last night together with the group and we’re going to go out for dinner in this town, which is known as one of the most beautiful towns in Colombia. Let’s go. Martina.

We’re going to explore this town. We haven’t walk in a while, right Ori? Yeah, we’ve been riding the bikes for 6 days now. Yeah. We haven’t walked that much. It feels good. Wow. These are the taxis here in El Jardin. A mototaxi. Super cool. This town, El Jardin, is known to be

Colombia’s most beautiful town. Villa de Leyva, another town we visited, is also claiming that title. Now is time to explore El Jardin. The main square here is stunning. It has a central fountain, a church, and hotels and restaurants surrounding the square. Tables and benches can be find everywhere.

It’s a great space for people to chill. This place is beautiful. Kaito decided he’s going to get a haircut. How will it turn out? His hair is quite long now, so… Nice. Without. Hello. Looking good. Well we’re getting ready to leave the hotel. ‘Plantación’ Hotel was a very nice one.

Would have loved to spend a whole week here in Jardin. There’s so much to do. But it’s time to go back to Medellin. Our final ride together. Okay, here we go. What a lovely town, Jardin. Back to Medellin. We got to start editing these videos from this crazy adventure.

I got to say, this is probably one of the best trips we’ve done so far, with Kaito. It was just amazing. So much went on every day. So much happened every day. It was really fun. I really want to come back to Colombia and just explore other parts of this

Amazing country on a motorbike. And I would love to do it with Eddy and Brayan. They were so good. And with Colombia Moto Adventures. I highly recommend them. They were our super heroes. The horses. Today we’re driving for about 3.5 hours from Jardin to Medellin. It is going to be all paved.

I’m not going to say it’s going to be an easy ride because Colombia might have other plans for us, you know. Sometimes with landslides, sometimes something else. I don’t know. You never know what’s going to happen in this country. But, for now, there’s no rain. The sun is up. So…

We’re lucky so far. It might rain later though. There are some dark clouds up there. We never know. Wow. Lots of banana trees, plantain trees up here. Guys, I told you, you never know. You never know what will happen here in Colombia. The road is closed. I have no idea why,

But we’re just got to wait here. Unexpected things in Colombia. Hopefully it’s nothing that big. Okay, that’s it. We’re ready. It’s crazy how all the bikes come rushing. Oh, okay. There’s no landslide, but they’re just fixing the road here. We have about 100 kilometers to get to Medellin.

There is no traffic on this road, which is great. We’re not going to cross any large city. So I think pretty much all the way it’s going to be like this. No cars, couple of motorbikes. That’s it. It is not the best paved road. There is a bunch of patches here and there.

I mean, it’s in way better condition than other roads we’ve been through. Wow. Landslide. Huge rock. It could be very damaging if it falls on a car or a motorbike. Scary. I think we’re stopping here for lunch. It seems like a good place. It’s freaking hot today. It’s hot! It’s hot.

Really hot today. Here we go. I ate a lot. I’m full. Portions in Colombia are big. It’s always more than I can eat. Okay. This view is stunning. I can’t believe this trip will be over today. I want to keep on riding. This place is amazing. Can we make it? Okay.

I can see why everyone’s slowing down here. Look at this. This part is not ideal for riding at 90 km/h. Wow. What a large river. Stunning. Colombia is a country abundant in nature. We’re surrounded by countless mountains. Medellin. We’re not that far. I don’t want this to be over.

I don’t want it to be over. The last off-road trail. Our last off-road trail in Colombia this year. And it’s over. Now the road’s paved. That’s what I thought, but it’s not over. There are still off-road trails ahead. The fun is not over yet. What a steep hill. It’s really steep. Okay.

Off-road again! Whoa. Oh no. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Okay. This is today’s first off-road trail. A perfect ending to this trip. Today’s off-road trail… Whoa. I almost fell. The groove left from the water is making it hard to ride. This view is unbelievable. And this road is really steep.

This trail is so much fun. Hi Ori. We’ve arrived. We made it. We’ve arrived. The motorcycle adventure is over. Thank you very much. Brayan, thank you so much for everything. Mr. Eddy. Oh. Thank you. I’ll be waiting for you guys to come back. Eddy, thank you so much for everything.

Thank you so much. – We had a great time. – Wish you the best. Hope you have a blast in Colombia. – We will. – I wonder when you’ll be back. Soon, we hope. We want to come back in December. – Whenever you can. – We’ll see. Bye. Bye. Bye Lisa. Take care.

Bye. See you later. See you later. See you soon. Bye. Bye Eddy, Brayan. Bye. Thank you Brayan, Eddy, Jon, Lisa and Mo. You all made this trip an unforgettable adventure. This journey was made possible by Colombia Moto Adventures.
